I've seen multiple comments lately about the "incoming war." Another poster in a different thread was telling me it will be against "straight white men and the minorities," and now we have the view that it will be "the liberals versus everyone else."

People have to have their doomporn. OBAMA failed to deliver on the multiple things people claimed so now they've moved the goalposts and shifted to a different group.

The civil war comments are laughable lol. Americans are too lazy to do any such thing.

C'mon! I didn't say that. There are plenty of smart right-wingers. Hell, I come from a family of (mostly) brilliant Republicans. There are some very bright, knowledgeable and well-informed conservatives posting right here on this site.

There's also a lot of people who don't know what they're talking about and some of them are self-styled would be revolutionaries who can't pass up an opportunity to talk about violent overthrow of the government or civil war.

Keep in mind that way back on the first page of this thread this was said:

I will give you a single link to justify what I have said previously....these hacks can be masked. If you have the knowledge and the hardware this link will give you a very simplified yet direct answer as to how.

Granted this is for a malicious wipe but the same actions can be used for gathering:

One modification replaced one of the hard-coded C2 server IP addresses with a local address belonging to a decoy VM while changing references to the other hard-coded addresses to point to this local address instead.

Now I do not claim to have done this ever in my career, but I do understand the entirety of the blog post and can see that it CAN be done and HAS been done by Cisco. A hard coded C2 IP can be spoofed and has been.

My reasoning for the issue I see is that the claim from our intelligence community is that a foreign intelligence community is dumb enough to use something with a hard coded IP or code block that traces back directly to a previous known attack. That goes against EVERYTHING I have ever known about hacking. If caught, no old code is used....why? Because the trail leads DIRECTLY to you. What does a sneaky hacker do? Use code from other sources so if found it leads back to THEM!

This isn't even the conversation I want to be having. I'm not arguing one way or the other about the influence the hacks/releases had. I'm far more interested in what our reponse will be and how it will effect the relationship between the US and Russia with Trump in the White House.

If the response is gratitude, that's a problem.

So it looks like it dipped a good point beyond the trend that week following the release. Note how she ended up about where she was before and after the conventions, in points spread. And how things were ticking along the course steady until she went and fell on 9/11. Spin it however you want I and many others called the election that day. We weren't wrong. The Podesta emails had nothing to do with the election. The Podesta emails only exposed the truth as to the corruption in the democratic party. If the democrats lost due to the fact that their corruption was exposed then who ever exposed those emails Russian or not did America a favor!

Can't they see that many people knew from Hillary that Russia was getting involved somewhat and they still voted for Trump because they disliked Hillary so much. I really don't care anymore, I hope this country gets split into a bunch of small countries already. We might as well have borders between us, trade homes with the crazy people so they can all move into one area and go on their own.

Don't start giving the Russians too much credit, their tactics didn't work that well, Hillary's own past and actions are what made her lose.

It's not as if what was leaked was a lie, whoever supplied that information should be given a metal. Since when is it a crime to tell the truth about someone if you know it? Do I need to resay that again? Never cut down someone for telling the truth.
