I never said the Vatican was on the 7 hills of Rome. I said the Vatican was in Rome. And to clarify to you, the Catholic church is the most corrupt of all christian religions. It sways away from the true teachings of christ. It implimented sunday morning worship (worship of the pagan sun god) along with easter (worship of the god and goddess of fertility) and christmas (the celebration of the sun god rising after 3 days of being at it's lowest point). Most of traditional christianity follows those three things though they are pagan in origin. Most people would frown at this fact because it's been part of the chistian life for about 1500 years. The Roman Catholic Church has decieved christianity and the religious beast in revelations is a great deciever. Just put 2 and 2 together, it's not hard to figure out. I also want to point out that I mean no disrespect to people attending catholic mass because you have been brought up to believe this stuff. I only offer the truth in hopes that some people will research and realize the true followings of Christ lie in the pages of the Bible.

First off, the Roman Catholics are the most corrupt because they started the mess between the Catholic/Protestant way of teaching. Protestants, which make up many different denominations, were originated through the catholic church but got tired of the chain-of-command system the church went by so they broke off starting the the Protestant Reformation in England. Though they broke away from the Roman Catholics, they still kept many of the traditions.

I don't follow the 7th day advenists. I hate cocky people who just assume. If you read your bible, the 7th day is the original day of worship. The sabbath is to remain holy through the commandments. Catholics changed the day of worship to sunday in order to separate themselves from the Jews and to bring in more pagans to christianity. The pagans worshiped the sun on the morning of the first day, so through Constantine, they changed it. Easter replaced Passover because it appealed to former pagans who worshiped the god and goddess of fertility on easter. Christmas was created by the Catholics so the pagans could worship the rise of the sun god after being at it's lowest point of the year. Do your research before you try and bash me. I'm a follower of the original "Church of God" which was started by the apostles Paul, Peter, and Phillip in 31 AD. It is now known as the United Church of God and decades ago was known as the Worldwide Church of God until corruption plagued the church through the likes of people like Ronald Weinland. Weinland started the Church of God (PKG) and others formed new churches of God but the origins remained with the UCG. That's what I believe and you can check out their website at www.gnm.com. Stop bashing unless you have the stuff to back up your bashing!!!

Actually the Vatican is in Vatican City, not at all affiliated with Rome.

Vatican is the smallest state in the world, based in Rome in Italy. It is a separate state in itself but sits on the northwest side of the river in Rome. Get the facts straight my friend!

That's a weak statement. Totally subjective and historically wrong.

Oh .. and God isn't sending people to hell because they pick Sunday to be the 'official day to get together and worship Him' instead of Saturday. Christians worship God on all days of the week. If they choose to make Sunday an official day to get together for worship instead of Saturday - God isn't going to rain down fire on their heads. That's insane.

I hate cocky people who just assume.

Tsk tsk. Hating people isn't very Christian, ya' know?

You speak exactly like a 7th Day Adventist. So if you are not one of them, then which anti-Catholic cult do you belong to? Your www.gnm.com. post just comes up to a job search website.

If you read your bible,

We read the bible plenty in this house. Your INTERPRETATION is different from those of others. That's something you need to realize. There are 2 billion Christians on this planet and nearly as many interpretations of the bible. No one has it right.

Do your research before you try and bash me.

Back atchya. YOU are the one doing the bashing here. Do YOUR research. The Catholic Church isn't 'the anti-christ' and can't be 'the beast'. There are very few people in the Catholic church who actually follow it's beliefs and rules. The Catholic Church is not 'loved, worshipped or adored' and it's rules are generally not followed. It doesn't have a charismatic leader who the world looks to and who they follow. Not really. It's a relic and a dinosaur in this day and age.

I'm a follower of the original "Church of God" which was started by the apostles Paul, Peter, and Phillip in 31 AD.

Oh? I'm a follower of Jesus Chirst and His Church which was started by Christ Himself the night of Passover, the day before He was crucified.

BTW - Peter was the first pope and he started the CATHOLIC Church. The unbroken line of sucession from him is documented. And Peter and Paul didn't like each other - just FYI.

Stop bashing unless you have the stuff to back up your bashing!!!

Oh that's funny! Back atchya again.

You disappoint me. Peter was not the first Pope. It was Simon Peter who earlier was known as Simon Magus. Peter, the brother of Christ was one of the founders of the Church of God, and it was the same church Christ started but the apostles spread the word to make the church a foundation. That's what I was getting at when I said the apostles founded the church. The Acts of the apostles chronicles the spreading of the Church and also the division started by Simon Magus. As far as the day of worship is concerned, it's true that you can worship any day you want but God makes it clear that the 7th day is his day and that no one work or leave the confines of the city. It is the one day set aside for the teaching of the scripture and commandments of God. The sabbath is a commandment that has not been upheld. We were given 6 days to go about our own everyday business but the 7th day was the holy day of rest. I'm not gonna get into it with you anymore. I was also going to add that I'm not referring to the people who go to catholic mass, but the catholic church itself that is corrupt.

Well you said it. It is the smallest state in the world, STATE, italy is a country and Rome is a city. The Vatican is in no way under the control or under any laws set down upon them by Italy and they Rome has no jurisdiction in Vatican City, it is an entity in and of itself, The fact that it is located in or around Rome has nothing to do with the Vaticans government. I was right the first time.

I don’t care. That's your problem.

Peter was not the first Pope.

Yes, he was.
List
Church documentation

Peter, the brother of Christ

No where in the bible does it say that Christ had siblings. It DOES say that he had 'brethren'. But no where in the original text does it say that Mary and Joseph had children or that Christ had siblings. The original words were ‘brethren’ – which in that language meant blood relatives – which could be anything from a sibling to a distant cousin. Educational material here

I'm not gonna get into it with you anymore.

Good! It’s rather time consuming to try to reeducate you from your anti-Catholic teachings.

THE TOPIC IS - Barack Obama wil be the Anti Christ.

There is more than one Peter and though the Bible doesn't prove the apostle Peter is Jesus' brother, the lost books of the bible do. You have to remember that council of men decided what scripture to add to the New Testament. Many books from the "Lost Books of the Bible" don't explain the glory or wonder of Christ like the original 4 gospels do but they have much history and geneology in them. Also, researchers have determined this also. Peter's tomb (not the catholic founder Simon Peter) was engraved, "Peter, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus" on it. The History Channel documented the find when archaeologists were allowed to go into what was believed to be the tomb of Jesus himself near Jerusalem. The find was not the tomb of Jesus but the tomb of some of his apostles. The "St. Peter" of the catholic church is Simon Peter (Magus) and the Peter, apostle of Christ was the Peter who helped start the Church of God. Simon Peter and Paul hated each other, but Peter and Paul worked parallel with each other. Peter was to spread the message of Christ to the Jews and Paul was to spread the message to the gentiles. Thank you for such a spirited debate but as you see, I have an answer for all of your comebacks. You obviously have your heart set one way, and I also want to add that it's cute how you add little snippets of what I said and twist them up so you can criticize me though there was more to it than, "you dissapoint me" or "the catholic church is the most corrupt because of the mess they started" and you know damn well that my points made about this subject are accurate. I don't hate you either, even though I said that I hated cocky people. I dislike cocky people. I've read the different things you write in these threads. I never see anything positive from you or in agreement. Are you here simply to start opposition with people? I'm just curious. I'm not attacking you, I just want to know if you ever agree with people. Are you one of those people who has to be right, no matter what?

Well, gee, you managed to find 9 (at least 3 of them you apparently made up) prophecies that you can spin to try to fit one someone.

What about the other 37 prophecies that the church that CREATED the anti-Christ says need to be fulfilled too?
See, you are not allowed to "pick and choose" what parts of the prophecy you want to believe and what parts you want to ignore, no matter how much you may hate someone, nor can you spread poorly constructed lies about them.

I will list just a few of the prophecies that you decided weren't good enough for you to use them to bash someone you don't know. Remember, this is what biblical scholars as well as the Vatican say need to be in place fir someone to truly be the anti-Christ.
He will rise among 10 kings - Daniel 7:8
This 10 nation union will be a revived Holy Roman Empire

His 10 nation union will merge into a world government which he will dominate - Revelations 13:1-2

Only one nation......sorry. It does sound a bit like the EU though.
He will be promoted and exalted by a miracle working religious partner (false prophet) - Revelations 13:11-12

I don't see any of his aids raising people from the dead in his name, do you?
The world government over which he rules will be a red (communistic or socialistic) government - Revelations 17:14

Boy, that sounds just like the USA , doesn't it? <-----SARCASM
The antichrist will be preceded by 7 kings or rulers. He will be the 8th king. He will also be "of" the 7 - Revelations 17:11

Nope, that one doesn't fit either.

There are dozens more.

I grow tired and no longer wish to try to argue this. It is obvious to most people that you have done NO research, and simply wanted to bash someone you don't agree with.

Well, though I don't believe Barack is the ac, I can give you more fuel for the fire. In 2005, he became a senator. Maybe that'll help. Also, Katrina happened in 2005. You can pinpoint many things to 2005. I just want to clarify that it's not a 7 year tribulation. It's a 3 1/2 year tribulation. The first 3 1/2 years are a time of corrupt peace that will be broken when the beast declairs himself/herself god and starts to persecute all christians, jews and orthadox muslims. The final 3 1/2 years are considered the tribulation.
