I am not surprised. The republicans following 45 are pretty blind (intentionally) to the incident that happened that day.

JUST IN: House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has announced he's opposed to a bipartisan agreement for an independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol, siding with Republicans who have tried to downplay efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

anyone who has a little bit of sense, knows what happened that day was a mess, coupled with some anger, and a large mountain of smug arrogance. If there was a cohesive effort to "accomplish a goal", someone somewhere would have outlined the goal. To date, nothing remotely close to that has been revealed.

Perhaps a plan, kidnap Pelosi, tie her up, tickle her feet until she pees her pants, then film it and laugh at her. Something other than an episode of the underpants gnomes.
step 1, go to Capitol.
step 2, gain entry
step 3, wander around looking stupid and steal a podium
Step 4, welcome Trump to his obvious place as leader of the world.
step 5, profit.

And yes, I am aware some idiots hit cops and were violent. The only thing the event's of the 6th did is make the lawmakers realize that the people outnumber them by a large margin, and that scared the piss out of them.

Well, for one thing, it wasnt an insurrection except as declared by Democrats and their MSM propaganda outlets. It was a demonstration.

All a Commision would do is allow for grandstanding by the usual suspects, making endless statements. And in the US Congress at least, there's no such thing as an Independent Commission.

I would oppose it on the grounds of being a waste of money.

I have a collection of screenshots from this website that disputes completely what you're trying to say. I watched the plan clearly being played out right here, I also saw it on other websites but it was not more clear on there than it was here. I had told my husband that what the plan was and that they plan to kill Mike Pence. That they plan to kill Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and many others. It was not an innocent little let's go scare people plan. It was let's stop the certification and let Trump have his seat plan. And stopping the certification was by any means possible including the death of Congress members. They really thought that if they killed all these people trump would take care of it for them and they wouldn't serve a day in prison. It certainly was not an innocent violent free event or plan, they discussed using what was available as weapons. reply to: network dude

"A 44-second clip of what is reported to be a much longer video shows Jacob Chansley, also known as “Q Shaman,” “Q Anon Furbaby,” etc., being told by police that he and others could enter the Capitol if they kept things peaceful.

The permission to enter the Capitol was given by a Capitol policeman, identified as Officer Keith Robishaw."

If that was the plan, they would have went in armed and there would have been nothing anyone could have done about it.

Have you contacted law enforcement with this "evidence "?

It needs an investigation because:

Some Capitol Police let people in by opening doors and taking selfies.
Rumors circulated that some people were given tours by some Democrats recently.
Some involved held some “interesting” positions.
Some claimed to have “been there” and were not (AOC in particular), yet should have been since some serious business was happening with vote verifications. Why were these people absent?

Like I said I've got over 200 screenshots from this website. They knew they would not be able to carry weapons in, duh, so they planned to use what they had, also to disarm officers which thank God, did not happen. All they needed was rope for Pence, they planned to publically hang him.

Let me help you understand what I’m saying. If that was the plan, do you really think the law would have stopped them from going armed?

How about a commission to investigate who is really behind BLM and their destruction of public and private property. It is amazing though that as soon as democrats took power all the rioting and looting has ended, almost as if controlled by democrats
