I still fail to see how Democrats can reopen the government. Contrary to their claims every 2 years we replace our government. When you hear the term "new Congress" it actually refers to the entire Congress and not just the House.

Any legislation that has not passed either house or has not been singed into law by the first day of the new Congress by potus is null and void.

Legislation would have to be resubmitted to both chambers and passed by both. I have seen Democrats trying to claim they can just use an old Senate bill version that passed by some 90+ senators and just take that up on day 1 when they come into power.

This is not how it works.

I would have thought Democrat members of Congress would know how a bill becomes a law 101. Then again Democrats think the 3 branches of government are the House, the Senate and the President.

We need to require people running for public office pass a constitution test in order to run.
