What spending should be cut?

Or, who's taxes should not have been cut?
Certain billionaires?

Billionaires wouldn't be hurt regardless. They employ saavy lawyers and accountants.

So, the new tax laws didn't help them?
The new tax laws did not increase the deficit?

Bigly?

Hold for The Wall !!

Have any of the people against Trump Wall provided any proof that tall/deep/long walls don't work?

At least you're sticking with that concrete wall, "coast to coast." Good for you! Hard to say what Trump is talking about anymore.

As to your question, here's a "wall" that Trump mentioned:

But the system has proved far from hermetic. Depending on the season, up to 60,000 Palestinians without work permits sneak across the barrier to work in construction, agriculture or service industries in Israel, either through gaps in the route or by utilizing the services of local smugglers. And occasionally, the system is defeated by Palestinians who carry out terrorist attacks.

Funding for government salaries hasn't been a sticking point.
And yet, there are federal workers who are not being paid.

That would be due to the partial government shutdown. But the Senate passed a bill last week to ensure they receive back pay.

It's very rare that a "back pay" reimbursement doesn't happen. It's like a PAID VACATION for the lucky ones who are told to stay away from work during the shut-down. I would love it!

I don't think so.

In the meantime there are rents and mortgages, utility bills, and credit card payments to be made.

Three questions! Is this a quiz or game-show?

No. It's a budget. Supposedly.

I hope they just keep the government shut down. In fact, let’s shut down more of it including anything having to do with bombing people or spying on US citizens. Especially let’s shut down congressional salaries.

That NYT article you referenced says the Israel/West Bank wall has saved lives. If a Mexico/US wall saves the lives of American citizens, isn't $5 Billion of our own tax dollars worth it? It's investing in ourselves. A common sense no-brainer.

It does?
$5 billion wouldn't build Trump's wall.

Has the house put forth a bill?
I wonder if the Senate will pass it as well?

Congressional Salaries should be terminated upon partial shut-down, with no chance to receive back pay. This would be the LAST shutdown!

That would require something called...a law.

Yes, the NYT article says the Israel/WestBank wall has reduced terrorist attacks inside Israel since its 2002 construction.

The $5 Billion is debatable. Depends on the overall construction type. Some is done already.

Unless you are the sort that thinks the government should be the nanny of all.

I don't.

But I think what affects others, affects me.

It's rare that we agree
