People are free to view their children as a gift, or as their personal property.

God grants them that freedom.

No.

Nope! No.

PEOPLE are not PERSONAL PROPERTY of other people. No matter what age they are. They are not the 'property' of ANYONE.

The fact that people are free to act however they want does not change the unchangable law of God.

Look at how many women allow the children in their wombs to be violently ripped apart and discarded.

They are treated by these women no different than an empty toilet paper roll.

Whoa.

Just - no. STOP.

That's an entirely separate subject. I will not get into it here.
But I will edit this to tell you that my children were planned, wanted, nurtured, and I STAYED HOME WITH THEM.......the only "babysitters" they had were their grandmothers and aunts.

So just stop.
Please.
Stop.

I hope you got an applause for that post.

Nope. But that's ok. It means more having you say that personally than applause or points anyway.

So your opinion is the woman's place is at home, making babies, in the kitchen? Just curious. That's what it sounded like by your comment.

However, I could be wrong.

Why frame your question with a strawman? It can stand on it's own without it.

Every child has the right to an intact family and a stable home.

If that is not in the presence of the mother, or the father, then what is the difference in hooking them up to a machine for 11 hours and Sally-pack-a-day day care worker who will change the diaper after her third cigarette break of the morning?

Is your strawman question really necessary?

Was your comment even necessary?

APPLAUSE!

Wow. Brilliant post.
But, I should probably stop pushing my applauses onto others within our little corner of the world, here.

If you felt differently - if you wanted to work 40-50 hours a week instead, would you not have been given free will to do so?

Would your neighbor have stopped you?

Would God have stopped you?

I hope you understand that I am not antagonizing you here. I am pointing out that man is given free will and the freedom to choose his own course.

I think there is no more noble profession than that of motherhood.

I honor the sacrifice you made / make for your children.

I have some responses to this, but, it is TOTALLY off topic.

How about you start a thread about it?
I'll be happy to contribute.

Meanwhile - I haven't seen anyone saying that they hate Christians, which was the direct question in the OP.

Right.. a straw-man argument.

It was just a question to gather clarification on your position. I think it is safe to assume it is a strict Biblical one? So while you've been ranting at the supposed vile hatred and intolerance for Christianity we all have I will assume, using your own standards, you are hateful and intolerant of homosexuality, atheists, unbelievers, etc? Would it be a stretch to assume you believe the OT laws are still to be followed? Forgive me if these are false assumptions. I'm just trying to get to know you a little better, and what precisely your beliefs are.

I'm an atheist. I really don't hate anyone.

Which is a lot more than I can say for Christians, who typically hate many different groups.

Gays, blacks, immigrants, the poor, the sick, etc etc etc. The list goes on, and on, and on.

If Christians feel that they are hated, they only have themselves to blame.

It's amazing the amount of hatred in Christianity, considering they call themselves the religion of love.

i don't hate blacks, see my signature link. i also don't hate the poor. see my signature link. immigrants are fine if they're legal (although i think inviting more people here when our own poor need help, is crazy). i dont hate the sick. see my link.

It was not the question - it was how you framed the question.

Go reread your post 13 times.

You're tough...

I agree that I took it off topic.

I don't agree that 'there hasn't been anyone saying they hate Christians.'

I agree that that was the original topic / question by the OP.

I don't agree that she was looking for a direct answer to that question.

She kicked ass for a bunch of pages.

I don't agree that 'there hasn't been anyone saying they hate Christians.'

No - there have definitely been people saying "they [others] hate Christians". Those would be the 'perps' here. Claiming that others hate Christians, when those others are right here saying "NO, I DON'T HATE CHRISTIANS!"

I agree that that was the original topic / question by the OP.

Cool.

I don't agree that she was looking for a direct answer to that question.

I think s/he was. I don't know if the OP is male or female, but I think they were indeed looking for a direct answer.

Honestly - this whole subject is exhausting. The persecution of Christians...

I said this recently in another thread - how is it that so many (of course, not all) Christians can't seem to understand that many of we nonbelievers understand their Christ

We understand him very well. It's not a lack of respect for their faith they're feeling. Actions speak louder than words - always

They protest too much I think. As if they're trying to distract us from noticing that all their chickens are coming home to roost

SIGH

What I see is non-believers ascribing things to believers and believers to non-believers and not much sense to any of it. Both sides doing the same to the other and blind to that.

"Does Anyone Actually hate Christians??" Yes I'm sure some do and I'm just as sure some Christians hate those who are not. I don't see a reason for, let alone the upside of a discussion about it. To not realize hate exists in all groups for many reasons is to be blind and so full of ourselves as to not even realize, its a two sided coin.

Like I said, "SIGH
"
