I'm sure if you were asked, you would have said that my opinion was nothing spiritual exists. I was correcting it ahead of time.

History teaches us that mankind has believed in gods for thousands of years,

Makes a hell of a lot of sense that all mankind just evolved that way ?

Ridiculous !

I am frequently in churches, the company I work for specialises in restoring heritage buildings and we make a lot of money working on churches.

We're fortunate there isn't a god as he would fix his own house ;-)

Goes to proves what our Messiah had said was right - there are those who have eyes but do not see, have ears, but do not hear. You are the prime example

Far from it, it actually means man didn't have the answers to his questions so he created a god to provide an answer.

Science has since answered the majority of these questions so the need for a god is just like god, non existent.

Your messiah not our messiah.

I do apologise as my post was a cheap joke. Although when I do go into churches with my colleague we generally double the congregation. It just goes to show how Christianity is dying out in England. Unfortunately though the mosques are full.

It does make you wonder if there is any point restoring churches for anything more than historical purposes as they are only really used for weddings and funerals.

What a joke from you!

Had your version of 'science' or the misused of it by you and your kind PROVEN that there is no God?

Perhaps in your imagination.

Heck! Science cannot even find the cure for the common cold, only the vaccination for it, and it had undertaken the greatest task of all time to prove that God does not exist as you and your kind claimed???

Do spare me the jokes. I don't really enjoy rolling on the floor with laughter over your infantile imaginations, and have the guts to call it 'science'.

Never mind that The Bible said so many of them way before slow ass science even thought of them.

Job 38

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? “Or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb,

Iaiah 40

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

Beliefs are personal issues and uncalled for in the manner you use to support your arguments.

Regardless which mainstream religious place of worship mankind goes to, it is still to worship the same common Creator , known in many names across cultures, time and space.

As for the decline in whichever religion a congregation goes to, the ones to consider carefully are the heads of religion, to assess why it happened, where went wrong, to correct those mistakes and progress.

The problem often lays in the leadership, not in the moral and ethical teachings or the congregation, over what they had or had not done to win the hearts and minds of the congregation with truths and not self agendic lies, desires or propaganda.

No, it has shown that what could be called a "god" (I severely dislike that word, it has far too much baggage attached to it) does exist, it just shares very little in common with your god.

It's more science and less stigma.

it had undertaken the greatest task of all time to prove that God does not exist as you and your kind claimed???

Actually, science does admit the possibility. Unlike you, who refuses to consider even for a second that your personal opinion might be wrong. What's the point of learning anything if you're just going to say, "I'm right and you're wrong, so there!"

Do spare me the jokes. I don't really enjoy rolling on the floor with laughter over your infantile imaginations, and have the guts to call it 'science'.

We're not allowed to call the Bible a book of fairytales, but you can call science a joke? Who's being infantile here?

No wonder you still believe in Santa Claus.

No one can prove that to you.

The Bible says the world is flat ?

Isaiah 40 again

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;

The insignificant nobody me or the religious faithful don't need to, unlike you atheists whom need a PHYSICAL presence to believe.

It is the moral and ethical guides that had nurtured our civilisation from the jungles to today that proves His existance alone, for apes whom foolish humans call their ancestors had not progressed even to build a fire. Common ancestor, so they said, but ape can't be that retarded if they cannot even do that, for man to claim there are our cousins.

Even, at least, no matter how retarded our human cousins can be, they at least know how to put on clothes, I am sure.

Shall I ask you to prove that God does not exist in return? No. this thread had been derailed by your kind long enough. I have no stomach for imaginations right now, perhaps on another more relevant thread.

You just don't see it.

Ecc !

The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns. All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow, there they flow again.

Oh yes damn my kind for wanting proof in something so I can judge for myself whether I should believe it. Damn my kind for thinking rationally and yearning to learn.

If it wasn't for my kind we would still be living in the dark ages, it is only because of my kind that man progresses.

You, the person who believes in a 'consciousness' that you cannot explain using logic, reason, science or history, still here?

Guess that fantasy 'consciousness' you spount aint filling your spiritual emptiness inside you that you need to be here for company I suppose.

Tell you what, why don't you open up another thread to spew your beliefs, and if I have the time, perhaps I can keep you company there, and stimulate your empty..lol...unconscious mind? So as not to derail or hijack this thread by you?
