This has been a very interesting thread. Was very naive and just thought atheism was the absence of God.Was not expecting what I found. If I do not believe something, don't spend all my time and effort despising it so.Makes me affirm my faith all the more.

You don't know atheism at all. But that's okay, because you don't even understand the nature of your own "God".

Let me get this straight, you've just read a thread where nobody has been able to offer any evidence of a god yet the atheist side has offered a multitude of evidence against there being a god, a clear win for atheism and yet this reaffirms your belief in a god.

I'm sorry but this brings a phrase from two and a half men to mind which I can parody. "Faith isn't blind, it's retarded".

That's because you have your own definitions of what is godly. Don't blame the world because it is unable to conform to your standards of what you believe something should be if it were to exist.

You sound ever more intelligent.

Okay so if there is no evidence of a god and if there is a god he isn't able to show us that he exists then why do we believe in him?

What caused us to believe in a god if it wasn't the god himself. He is a man made creation, not divine at all.

I have explained this to you several times. "God" is the wrong word for it, but the truth can be described as "godly". Forget everything you expect a god to be, forget about anything you've ever heard about a god or anything godly, and you have a chance of understanding.

Right now, you keep looking for a red car when there's a blue one sitting right in front of you, but you keep missing it because all you care about is "RED! MUST BE RED! IF IT IS NOT RED, IT ISN'T A CAR!!!"

Don't worry I have long dismissed everything about god I ever heard but I have also dismissed your ideas about god. Without evidence it is not plausible

Which god? Even divinity itself? Anyone who looks over my responses to you can easily see how you ignored everything I offered to you as evidence of some sort of intelligence in the fabric of the universe. Not the traditional god, but still a divinity.

Just because you are too pig-headed to think straight doesn't refute the evidence I have laid out in this thread. Shame on you for poisoning the well of rationality we have built here with your ignorance. Shame on you. I will gladly admit when I am wrong, or when I am speculating, but it's another matter entirely to offer legitimate research and have it ignored simply because the truth is not desired.

You don't want the truth. You want a good story, and you just think the Christians or whomever are crappy storytellers. Be gone. If you're not here to learn, and you're not here to be constructive, you are here to annoy and obstruct. Either be willing to reciprocate the attentions and considerations we show you, or you show you're not worthy of the energy needed to read your posts.

It's a two way road. We'll meet you halfway, but only halfway. If you want to sit on your haunches in some ditch or storm drain, don't drag us with you. I'm tired of people like you touting opinion like it's fact. At least I can go a little ways towards proving my ideas. You've offered spittle and vitriol.

What a waste.

You haven't offered any evidence, you've merely danced around the lack of evidence with phrases like gravity is evidence, sorry but it isn't.

Give us proper meaningful evidence not what you class as evidence which can be explained by science.

You're asking me to find a brick of evidence to bash your head in with. I'm sorry, I cannot do that because our questions are coming faster than our ability to answer.

I have already provided ample evidence to suggest an intelligence in the very fabric of the universe, but you refuse to accept it. Not only do you refuse its inevitability, you refuse the possibility. For those observing this discussion, the evidence to suggest an intelligence in the building blocks of our reality is as follows:

One which I have known and accepted as the Lord Jesus Christ in the past. But I am having a crisis of faith! This is my conversation with God.

I join your saints through the ages crying out for mercy and justice. However, it is getting harder for me to imagine a merciful god who would command the utter destruction of men, women and children by the sword as spoken in the Old Testament. Can your justice really be doled out in excruciating fear and pain? Defenseless children destroyed because of their parent’s sin? How can that be justice?

I just don’t get it!

grayeagle,

Don't get down, God loves us more than He loves Himself. Speak of our parent's sin, the first sin, Original Sin. This is how merciful God is, Adam and Eve REPENTED. They are both in Heaven!

Jesus is coming soon. Our Lady told the main Garabandal seer Conchita almost fifty years ago, the divine Great Warning (you all -non-Catholic Christians- know it as the "awakening" in prophecy) will happen "when Communism comes again." Look what's happening here, in our very
country. The election....riiiggghhht. The President is selected not elected.

This "awakening" is God's gift, His effort (because of our free will) to bring
everyone in the world to Him. Everyone will be shown the Truth.

Hang in there. It could happen next year? Remember in your heart, the
pinnacle of the faith is the most Holy Eucharist. Believe and thanks for
giving your life to Christ.

If this were truly the case, why would he ask us to worship him? Surely, he wouldn't demand so much attention for himself if all he cared about was us...
