Your defense, however, is 100% based upon his color. So, who's the racist?

You sound foolish because a)I never voted for this man nor am I a supporter and b) I'm not defending him at all, I am bashing the utterly racist theme of this thread and ATS has become a playground for closet racists and cowards to spew their ignorance,

I'm one of those liberals that bash him. He's a corporate shill. The only people who care about his skin color are the ignorant ass holes that want to refer to him as an affirmative action president.

But carry on, stew in your own ignorance.

Nothing I've criticized depends upon race, creed, origin or sexual preference.
I've already pointed out that GWB was the 1st Affirmative action president.

When did you complain about that? Oh, that's right, you didn't.
What's the difference between the 1st AA president and the second? Your simpering whining.

It would seem to me that anyone who despises the characterization of "affirmative action president," but who stands idly by, silent when it's applied to a white, anglo-saxon, conservative, heterosexual male; only to expolode into rage when it's applied to the 2nd AA president, has their own race issues to consider.
Racists decide because of race, rather than actions or ability.

Bill Ayers blew the head off a statue. Vandalism is not terrorism.

In 1969 he co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group[2] that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings during the 1960s and 1970s

Source
In my eyes, that certainly DOES make him a terrorist!

You're aware that the majority of our nations' presidents came into the position in periods of hour history where a black person could be shot for any reason and there would be no charge of murder

I don't believe that at all! Can I take a look at your sources?

You're aware that Obama faced - and still faces - opposition based on his skin color, don't you?

I do too, and I'm white. Hell, everyone does at times. It just depends on where you might be, and who you might meet. Get over it!

"Not as #ing crazy as Fox news" does not directly translate into "liberal" except among the moron crowd, that feel anyone to the left of Margaret Thatcher should be gunned down in the street.

That statement makes absolutely no sense! Are you a member of the "crowd" you mentioned above?

Obama has no fewer personal achievements than any other president, as already noted. he certainly surpasses the previous fellow in the oval office, whose achievements consisted mostly of snorting lots of coke out of lots of hookers' asscracks and frying mentally handicapped people.

Do you have any references? I know that Mr. Obama HAS mentioned his use of alcohol, marijuana and coc aine.

A future historian would not note anything that divides Obama especially from all the other "Ivy leaguers" that have held the presidency. Except perhaps the odds of a multiracial child of a twice-married mother raised by his grandparents in the 70's could even manage to get into an Ivy League school in the first place. it's bait of a different situation than say, Bush or Kerry or Kennedy had, with their generational wealth and family connections, isn't it?

That statement tends to support the thought of Mr. Obama being an "Affirmative Action President". I feel that you got that one right!

To answer:

So, if all that is true, how did Barack Obama get elected?

1) A significant number of voters voted for him because they felt he was one of their own race.

2) A significant number of voters always vote along "party lines", regardless of who the candidate is.

3) A significant number of younger voters voted for him because he is fairly young, as far as Presidents go.

4) A significant number of voters voted for him because it was the "politically correct" thing to do.

Add all of the above groups to the voters that really did believe in his "Hope and Change", and you have enough votes to elect our first biracial President. This was done knowing that he had no experience, and no significant legislative accomplishments.

The term "Affirmative Action President" sure seems to fit!

See ya,
Milt

The only people who care about his skin color are the ignorant ass holes

I couldn't care less what color he or any of his parents are. You seem to be the only one here that cares about his skin color.

Trust me, I'd despise this man's policies if he were crystal clear. I criticized GWB's profligacy only to appease the progressive retards who ran Congress. He didn't care how much he had to give up to get his agenda, and it cost us dearly. His weakness hurt us, too. But, not nearly as much as the current socialist-in-chief.

If Barack Obama were white, would you still be so incensed? Of course not, since you are fixated solely on race.
The pure defintion of racism.

Go back over all of my posts about him since I joined.
All of them were critical on policy grounds and character.
I saw his agenda coming because I read his books to see who this "rising star" really was.
I said in 2004 that if he and Hillary joined a ticket they couldn't lose.
I would never have voted for that ticket, but it has nothing to do with their sex or race.

People who fall back on race are devoid of any real defense or criticism.
Your phony outrage betrays your true ideology.
You refuse to undeerstand that it is not the man, it's his policies and lack of qualifications.
If you can't discuss that on the merits, you have the problems here.

deny ignorance.

Another answer would be that as the JournoList - a group of over 400 members of the progressive media - actively hid his failings (which are far too many to detail) and actively attacked his detractors (also far too many to detail); they effectively 'fixed the election' to ensure the most liberal Democratic Party candidate ran against the 'weakest' Republican Party candidate.

Want to see an example of REAL racism?

How about MSNBC's replacement for Cenk Ugyur as host for their evening political commentary program:

Sharpton … has decided not to criticize the president about anything -- even about black unemployment, which is twice the national rate.

The shrillest voices on here so far act as if they are completely ignorant of an important dichotomy:
Affirmative Action and Racial Profiling are one and the same. The profile justifies the action.

Barack Obama was the beneficiary of racial profiling.

Funny how profiling doesn't bother the "racism" finger-pointers as long as it reaps large rewards for those at the receiving end; unless it's pointed out. "Silence is golden," no? (But then, hold is a color, too.)

Al Sharpton et al shout about how terrible it all is, then turn around and DEMAND special treatment based solely upon race or skin color!

They should be reminded that many wouldn't be where they are today if millions of those stupid "angry old white people" didn't profile them and others and conclude they must go to the head of the line.

Haven't we had enough of the false outrage, outright pretense and lies?

Whatever happened to "post-racial" assessments?

As further proof of the progressive double standard, witness the exchange on FOX NEWS "The Five" last Friday, when co-host Bob Beckel (a progressive, liberal) grabbed the attention of his co-hosts with a race-tinged comment about Michael Vick and dog fight attendees:

Gutfeld suggested Beckel needed to get a new dictionary.

“I don’t need a damn thing … I’m a liberal and I can get away with this stuff,” replied Beckel, who helped run the campaign of Democrat Walter Mondale in 1984.

Uh oh. Now the "racist" sentiment has drifted northward, across the border with our largest trading partner. (Do you think people can't see the facts around the world?) When lack of ability is obvious, it is hard to deny from any perspective; except from that of the Obama apologists and sycophants.

Barack Obama can’t walk on water. To a large extent, he’s a prisoner of fate. These times need a great man, and he is merely a good one. And now he’s acquired the most devastating label of all: President Wimp – someone who not only has no answers but lacks the killer instinct to strike back at his opponents.

www.theglobeandmail.com...

The "racists" seem to have migrated into the Southern Hemisphere, as well. "Southern?" "Racists?" I can already hear the wailing.

I think the correlation of forces, the mix of restraints and opportunities, of money and intent, suggest 2012 will be a particularly dangerous and conflict-prone year.

The big reasons are a US presidential election, the US budget is broke and US politics, especially President Barack Obama, look weak and uncertain.

Oh no.

Really? Exactly what qualifications of Obama made him a good candidate for President exactly? We still don't know the origin of his birth. Why? Because his birth certificate is still being covered up -- the latest release from the White House has been proven to be a friggin' photoshopped joke.

We don't have his college transcripts. Did he even go to college? Did he? Show me.

He was a community organizer -- i.e. THUG. Nothing more, nothing less. Bully for the black community. Hell, I dont even see him as being a bully, as he has no balls of his own.

A man shrouded in controversy -- more than ANY president who sat in the office -- COMBINED

A man who, so many times ON AIR, admitted that his energy policy will "Necessarily cause energy prices to sky rocket?" Really? In a time when we need it most?

All because he is black, and people are too afraid to speak up. Well, I am NOT a racist...but this guy has no business being president. He was elected due to racism -- REVERSE racism. Not whites against blacks -- but blacks against whites.

And now the left plays the race card. What the hell did you expect? What other defense do they have? None.

There are plenty of leading black men who could fill this post. Barak Obama is NOT one of them. He is a pawn.

Most people have to "write-on" to qualify for Law Review. Where's his essay?
Everyone has to write and publish to qualify to be Editor. Where's the law review-quality article? Once on-board, you are expected to produce exceptional quality work as an editor, researcher and legal scholar. Where's the work product?

He was a community organizer -- i.e. THUG. Nothing more, nothing less. Bully for the black community. Hell, I dont even see him as being a bully, as he has no balls of his own.

If you read his book, he even failed at his first few attempts at that! Not until he learned "to make the white man pay" at the hands of an effective organizer did he even gather the attention and support of his own ealy neighborhood "assignments." READ HIS BOOKS, people!

A man shrouded in controversy -- more than ANY president who sat in the office -- COMBINED

The only glimpses we get are the ones he created or allowed for us to see in his books, and those are/should be frightening in what they say between the lines. His actions immediately following inauguration are also telling, with his creation of or filling powerful positions with deconstructionists(Holdren), anarchists (Ayers), communists(Jones) and socialists (Browner).

the man was un-vettable, what with all the secrecy, so we could onbly judge by what hew said and did. Those of who wanted to. Many wilfully chose to buy a pig in a poke.

A man who, so many times ON AIR, admitted that his energy policy will "Necessarily cause energy prices to sky rocket?" Really? In a time when we need it most?

A man whose Energy Secretary nominee says we should be paying "European prices" for gasoline and energy. Whose "green czar" and science advisor thought nothing of forced redistribution. these all should have been expected from a candidate who was unqualified himself, but who knew just the right people to see his transformative agenda through.

All because he is black, and people are too afraid to speak up. Well, I am NOT a racist...but this guy has no business being president. He was elected due to racism -- REVERSE racism. Not whites against blacks -- but blacks against whites.

A little bit of blind faith helped things along. So many Americans, especially the youngest and newest of voters, have no idea what the man stands or stood for, they took him and the MSM and the JouroList lackeys at their word without question, because they do not know how to question or to think for themselves. They were spoon-fed from day-one all that they needed to know to become the exact zombies Obama is counting on to carry him through all this and into his next 4 terms. (That's right, 4.)

The term applied to Barack is wrong; I could care less what you say about the knave Bush.

Affirmative action has to do with going out and deliberately tying to get minorities into some position, in the case of Obama the only positive thing he did was get the office on his own that HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM BEING AFRICAN AMERICAN.

You are all wrong. Progressives want a single payer health care system—like Canada.

They want a government jobs program like FDR did in the depression

They want out of ALL wars

They want the takedown of Guantanamo

They want the end to the Military Industrial complex and a severe cutting of the defense budget

And many other issues that Obama hasn’t come any where near fulfilling, so your analysis is all out of whack

Reality check.

Obama was elected because he was black. Let's give the black guy a chance. Ask 95% of the black people that voted for him why they did.

During the election, any criticism of him was racist. This prevented a thorough vetting that any other candidate would have received. Obama had many issues that would have buried any other candidate, but he got a pass. He got a pass because he was black.

Barack Obama the "Affirmative Action President" The phrase fits.
