When the 6.6 hit the solomon islands it went haywire and I was thinking it was settling down again and now I'm queasy and my head is hurting and we just had another small quake followed by another. Rumbles with them both

We ate our corn tonight too Robin.

[EDIT TO ADD: I failed to calculate the UTC time correctly. Sorry all. This was the 6.6 quake]

I freaked out because I thought there was a massive quake somewhere and with the recent quakes off shore here...my house creaked and my dogs were barking so I thought for sure it was on the san andreas. But NADA on USGS.

Can this possibly be localized massive ground movement there???? I don't know and I hate to speculate and freak anyone out. The last big quake was a 6.6 four hours ago...so it wasn't that. Here is a screen shot I got after it calmed down a bit, if you can beleive that:

ETA: Screen shot right after it started I grabbed off my laptop:

After reading a few articles, I decided to check-out the Arkansas Seismic Network to see what's-up in Arkansas today. I clicked-on the Woolly Hollow seismograph and saw these very low frequency waveforms / seismographic waveforms and have never seen this before here.

I checked the other locations of the network and Cane Creek, Ozark Folk Center, Hobbs, Woolly Hollow and White Oak Lake showed similar waveforms. The Lake Charles seismograph is apparently down due to a "page not found" error.

Here is a graphic image below which highlights the part of the graph I am referring to:

Source: Arkansas Seismic Network

The seismograph at PENM HHZ NM 00 : Penman, Portageville, MO, has a more pronounced recording of the above.

PENM HHZ NM 00 - Penman, Portageville, MO Seismograph

Strange and Worry-some Siesmograph in Dening, New Mexico (121A BHZ TA 01 : HP Deming, NM.)

Anyone have a clue about this?

Well it's still rocking here once in a while a decent size one. I know the distance is a lot but it does tie into the gulf and who really knows the damage and how far reaching that is in all directions.

Aye, I saw that; it's what made me check the Arkansas Seismic Network monitors. They seem to have "lower amplitude" than the earlier waveforms. Now isn't that ironic?

Could this tie-in to the recent volcanism in Hawaii?

Wonder what their seismographs look like?

All I know is this is odd and with things happening all-over the place like this, who knows, the oil companies might be a "scape-goat" to keep us all busy looking elsewhere. Keep your focuses multi-focus and don't miss a thing.

There have been three 6+ magnitude quakes. The last is what you're seeing.

earthquake.usgs.gov...

Susan, did you feel the waves from the big 6.6 in the Solomon Islands. I suspect you shouldn't, but I have to ask.

Don't worry folks, just a far off quake.
I saw the same waves on Yellowstone's webicorders.

Fracking is gonna kill us all if they don't stop doing it..

I watched a few of the videos on it and it seems to be destroying ground water supplies wherever they do this...

Insanity i say...

So am I just being really dumb and confusing the UTC and GMT times?

Could I be that stupid?
I thought the solomon quake happened awhile ago.

ETA...time to take a break.
