Are you implying that people shouldn't make their own decisions based on whatever platform they choose? Tell me, what news outlet *should* they be watching according to your *ahem* non biased opinion *snickers quietly*?

Obama is half-white and half-black. Obama is not a racist. Get over yourself.

Like I said, I don't think any news agency should be trusted.

People should make up their own mind.

But can't people make up their own mind regarding the issues despite watching the news? I watch the news. In fact, I LOVE fox news. Much better entertainment than, say, American Idol or one of the other mind numbing reality shows, dramas, and/or sitcoms (sorry, I am so out of touch that I don't know the names of the other shows).

How I see it, is that if you just watch the news for entertainment, that's fine, but I recommend not to take any of the news on television seriously.

Just something I learned from experience.

Question everything, except for what you know is true and know is false, even then, even if you know something to be true or false, question the people doing the questioning!

Don't believe everything you hear, that's all I'm saying.

McCain chose Palin... Obama is socialist. Nobody has any good reason to choose EITHER of these candidates and if you think so, then perhaps maybe the OP *SHOULD* have said "Don't turn on any of the network news programs", IMU(H)O

Don't get me wrong... I like to watch the news but only for local news.

It's just that when people start talking politics everyone becomes really sinister and that's when things go wrong.

How is it a "Smear Campaign" if the issues presented are in fact legitimate and based in truth? Au Contraire to your attempts, MORE voters should in fact tune in and realize all of the "Carpet Bagged" characteristics of Senator Obama to which they remain oblivious.

For instance, have you ever heard of Khalid Al-Mansour? This guy is a Black American Muslim with connections to the Black Panthers, and by default, Chicago Politics. He has extremely close ties with the Wahhabis of Saudi Arabia as well, which if you did not already know, is the very same extremist Islamic Sect which we have been fighting since 9/11. This character, so called "Dr. Khalid" by his peers, personally wrote to Percy Sutton that he wished for Mr. Sutton to get Barack Obama into Harvard. Percy Sutton is Malcolm X's former lawyer, which I have NOTHING against, as Malcolm X did reach an awakening of sorts, and he paid for it with his life at the hands of Farrakhan's extremist cult. However, this very same Mr. Sutton blatantly admitted to the aforementioned request placed upon him by "Dr. Khalid", on Television during an interview.

Now do you know how crazy Khalid Al-Mansour is? They have a video of this guy screaming about killing white people, and he declares that you should rip their flesh off, and in doing so you will be promised a special place in Heaven through the Graces of God. Al-Mansour makes Reverend Jeremiah Wright look like Elmo on Valentine's Day. This entire "Rise" of Barack Obama has been pushed for from Day one by individuals such as Louis Farrakhan, Khalid Al-Monsour, and many other extremist minded "Mentors" and "Advisors".

How badly do any of you really wish to see a "White-Devil Hunter", a Terrorist, Haters of America, and Purveyors of Extremist Ideologies walking through the hallowed halls of our White House? I know that we have all been through U.S. Presidential Administrations which we do not agree with, and do not support. The one connection they have all had however is that they know nothing short of America being first, and they were all Moderates. This current candidate known as Senator Obama is so far left of Mainstream America however, that he in fact represents Socialism and Marxist ideologies, not American Democratic ideals and Capitalism. The acquaintances he keeps company with, only serve to further cement this aspect of his character.

Some other major questions linger as well, for instance:

-Where are Senator Obama's Collegiate Transcripts?

-Where are Senator Obama's "Harvard Law Review" Articles?

-Where is Senator Obama's AUTHENTIC Birth Certificate?

The list goes on, and on, and on.

Bottom line, we have a right to know about Senator Obama's past, and for that matter ANY United States Presidential Candidate. It should be expected, and absolutely desired by the Voting Public.

If you're so upset over FoxNews, you should really take a good look at CBS, NBC, MSNBC and ABC. They are so BIASED that their ears are rubbing together.

At least FoxNews is unbiased in their reporting.

Get a life or just accept the facts that FoxNews is great at reporting BOTH sides fairly and balanced.

Before the Election started, I remember watching on Fox a mention of a senator 'thinking' of running for the Presidential Race. Then it showed Barrack - at that time Fox wanted to know what was going through his head, and all about him.

When he was going good in the polls, when people cheered at his name so loud that the ceiling was starting to crumble, he was their favorite guy. But now the spotlight isn't on Barrack it's on Palin. She may be just the VP runner, but she's hitting all the right notes. And as long as she's up there - he'll be cast down like yesterdays news.

But then again when he does something amazing and regains the countries absolutely attention... how ironic will it be when they start to promote him again... Bias news. Fox has always, and will always be like that.

The best radio station is Democracy now! They have the best, non-bias broadcasting station I have ever run across.

Always

Fox News is bias to the core. I don't know what television you've been watching, but I LEARNED what bias MEANT from their channels.

Puh-leas.

I see it in an opposite way. I want to see what they are spinning because generally there will be a hint in there of what you are meant to be distracted from.
Gives me an idea of where to start looking.

I generally watch and *then* comb through the transcripts focusing on certain key points that came between the "show" they were putting on (thrown in generally unnoticed by most). I go through the transcripts when I hear a quickly brushed over sentence so that I am not being influenced by looks and changes of pitch and tone in their voice. That is how I find my bits and pieces of gold nuggets

Just do like I did, deleted the channel from my cable decoder now I don't even have that rubbish poisoning my TV...

Why anyone would want to watch that idiotic, poisonous thing goes beyond my comprehension...

Want News?
Try The BBC (BBC America), or CBS...

In my home the garbage always stays outside...

It is fun. I like to play a little game. Watch Hannity or O'Really and then try to confirm the stuff they say. For every one I can find proof that it is an outright lie, I treat myself to something. Whenever they turn out to be telling the truth. I put money in a jar. I have a rather empty jar and enjoy myself thouroughly.

I think it's funny how they complain that the media is in the tank for obama but yet they are in the tank for mccain. And they are far from being fair and balanced for example, how is telling one side of a story fair and balanced and just look at the republican debates they had, fair and balance my a$$.

hey.. psst. heres a little hint. fox news was created because of the left wing liberal spin of the rest of those channels. it is the youngest out of all, but because its republican its bad bad bad. im glad there is a fox news otherwise the democrats would win every election.

and i dont know about you people, but if i was obama and i knew a terrorist would try and hold events and senate running parties with me, i would refuse to go. that is just a discgrace what he did. i did watch the fox news show last night. please explain why his transcripts and thesis papers will not be made public? what is there to hide??????? this guy chooses the best of people to hang out with

reverend wright : sat in church for 20 years, i slept the whole time because i didnt hear one anti american remark

tony rezko: i admit it was a bad decision to be friends with this guy, but hey. i got a house out of it

A.C.O.R.N-, anything that enables dead people and foreigners vote is fine by Obama, hell he will even defend them

if this guy cannot even pick his friends, how the hell is he going to make the right decision for a country? i wouldnt even trust this guy to drive a car.

Although it was slightly off target (the OP should make a case against Palin instead of Fox News), the OP is trying to say that we should not tolerate people who made unsubstantiated, slanderous and disparaging remarks to win at all cost. This goes to politicians and ATS debaters alike. I don't see the OP as either a rabid Obama supporter or a radical McCain hater, more than what I see in some of you guys. The OP is just being the typical ATS member, trying to persuade his opinion.

It is sad that many of you can't see the good intention and purpose of the OP's thread. Instead of educating and encouraging the OP to look at this from a different angle, some of you proceeded to give him a hard time with unfair and down right rude comments. You should instead correct the OP, the outrage should be directed at Palin and not Fox News. Fox News were just doing their job, news resporting. Palin was the one misusing the media to manipulate you, so that McCain would win.

Here is some fair advice, McCain is not Bush, but he did support Bush's policies 90% of the time, undisputed, accepted and defended by McCain. He did pick Palin as running mate, I leave it to you whether you assess her character. To some of you, you don't have any other choice but to ignore the facts and vote for McCain and Palin for their "outstanding personalities and records". To the rest, you should know better who to vote for. You should know this election is especially critical, don't mess up.

Anyway, to set the record straight, Rupert Murdoch (owner of Fox News) is actually an Obama supporter. Here is the proof, from Rupert Murdoch himself.

Now that we know a bit more of the facts, perhaps the real conspiracy is Fox News intentionally broadcast Palin's outrageous remarks to cheese off enough people to vote for Obama. Worth thinking about it.
