Hannity and Limbaugh are not news, the are entertainment commentators, FOX news is completely different then commentation. Learn the difference.
I disagree with you.
Limbaugh and Hannity and other political talk shows are political commentators, and part of the media news infrastructure. The weird thing is that
they actually provide SOME GOOD NEWS and some very good commentary. These guys are very smart. And their personal opinions count.
I think Hannity is actually more inflammatory than Limbaugh, and more likely to engage in pure negative speculation. But they both do it. (I don't
listen to them that often, so I might be wrong.)
The problem I see is that, by establishing some record of validity, they are able to state their opinions as fact, and their opinions may be totally
wrong. People will buy into false ideas.
Why would Limbaugh, Hannity, others do that? Clearly, to get higher ratings by keeping their shows interesting, so they keep their contracts and make
more money.
I think this is very irresponsible, but I don't necessarily think it is malicious. If there actions are really based on malice, and not greed, then
these guys are more dangerous than I currently assume, because a highly destructive forces are moderating them.
In that case, if they have malicious intent, the potential for damage is very great. These guys are extremely powerful. The devotion of an angry and
powerful person to a negative cause is something to be feared.

I think one of the issues here is we may not agree on the definition of "smear", because in my opinion this is just wrong in any situation.
I would define smear as evoking strong hateful emotions based upon false or highly distorted accusations. I think it is very similar to "slander",
which is universally rejected as a dangerous and even evil practice.
By my definition, nobody should be smeared. Ever.
But you may be using a slightly different meaning of this word "smear". You might be using it in the sense of "looking at all the possible negative
traits of someone, and speculating on worst case situations." Or some other definition.

If you're watching TV do not watch Fox News.
They are putting out the same kind of bs again and again.
Don't let fox brainwash you. Don't just watch fox news for fun. DO NOT WATCH IT AT ALL.
Get real. Look at all the cool aid "tingle up my leg" liberal news networks who mislead the American people every day About John McCain. Foxnews is
telling the true life story about the anti-American, socialist, biggoted Barack Hussein Obama.
Your ignorance is amazing. For you to honestly think that half of that slanderous crap is true simply tells me that you are a GOP zombie that has no
mind of your own.
Now, before you tag me as a LIBERAL, I have voted GOP the majority of my life. Regretfully I voted four times for Bush. Twice for daddy and twice
for sonny boy.
I am a realist that likes to check the facts. "Just the facts mam". You see, the slander that is being said about both candidates by each side is
part of the political game that only works on the weak minded.
Since you are obviously buying the propoganda...well....
I'll leave it at that.

I agree, the unfortunate quagmire we all faced with is to make a choice between two bad candidates.....It will take six years to clean out that bunch
of lying tricksters in DC....This is the only plan that could work...A state senator has an election every 6 year, within that period there are three
house elections 2 years and one presidential election 4 years....If for a period of six years the american people (majority) voted with this slogan
"Whoever is in is out"we will have been able to give Washington an enima...
I like your thinking! You should put that on a bumper sticker and hand them out on Nov 4th.
I know, one line post.

I can sure relate to that! When I was a sheeple, I was bubbly and happy all the time. Now, I am "a bitter woman. A hag. A witch. I am now

The pro obama head nodders will blind themselves to anything not pro obama. and the non obama types don't need any more proof for themselves.

So, if OBAMA does have links to terrorists you don't want to know about it?
If he lied about paying for school with student loans, you don't want to know about that?
If large contributions to his campaign fund are coming from IRAN, you don't want to know about that either?
Not only do you not want to know but you don't want to search out both sides of the story so that you can make a well informed opinion on the
matter?
I see, because these are just distractions from the REAL issues. None of the above will matter once Obama is President.
yeah...okay.

Fox smears Obama. CNN smears McCain.
Guess what? They BOTH DESERVE IT. Even with the media being completely made up of propaganda and personal agenda, why don't you take the collective
of it and realize that both candidates are really sketchy.

It's the only news station where one can get both sides. Besides, when you look at associates of Obama, well, let's just say that "birds of a
feather, flock together."
If there was nothing there, then nothing could be presented. I personally think Obama is a creation of the corrupt Chicago political machine. My
God, look at his history! He hasn't accomplished one, single thing. Nothing!
I can recollect some pretty talkers that seemingly came out of nowhere in the historical record, and did they ever cause a lot of deaths, directly or
indirectly.
Naw, I'll continue to watch. There's a reason they are #1.

It's not that I don't want to know about, it's that these accusations are false and they're attacks. It's a form of racism.
They're trying to paint Obama as a different candidate, that he's different from us. That's what they are trying to do to get new voters to stop
paying attention to Obama.
