I don't think so, son. As I said before - better than you have tried - even the
, but we're just too good.

Now, just for your outburst young man, you're on elephant poop scooping duties until I get back from Sennybridge Training Area on Tuesday.

Sort of give you some time to rethink your strategy - about thread killing, that is.

I'm tired. Can someone else scoop pachyderm poop please? I have had no time to find some extra mature cheddar cheese kittydoughnuts for fritz.

better than you have tried

My threadkillin' is completely unconscious. I have utterly no control over it and in fact, when I've tried, have failed miserably. Is it possible I'm a mutant threadkilla'?

Well the time is approaching. I am back bagging groceries at the comissary I worked at for many years. One more week of that, and I'm done. Next Friday is my last day there, I have the weekend to pack, an appointment Monday, and leave Tuesday. The flight time is gonna SUCK, but from here to Reno is First Class so it shouldn't be TOO bad.
Thank god for mileage.

Wow

This thread is still going - fantastic
I'm glad some things never change, then again, what is that old axiom? The more things stay the same the more they change. Yes, please call me cliche girl. I missed all you guys! What's been going on?

Nik! Welcome home! We've kept a chair and some cushions warm for you, in hopes that you would come home again. Watch out for elephant droppings, Duzey and Fritz haven't finished house training them yet.

It's good to see you back!

Nik? Is that really you?

This is just wonderful. I'm so happy to see you again.

I haven't written hardly any poetry since you left but I suddenly feel inspired. I think you may be my muse.

Nikelbee's Poem

I woke up from my nap and much to my glee
Who had dropped by but the fair Nikelbee

Sadness that we had passed like ships in the night
Was quickly replaced by a wave of delight

I shouted Woohoo! and jumped out of my chair
And gave my cat Harriet a really good scare

I started to do a happy little dance
A bit like a hop mixed with a prance

After prancing and hopping about like a fool
I began to calm down and regain my cool

I wanted to do something for my friend Niki
But deciding just what was somewhat tricky

I thought and I thought and I wracked my brain
Flowers? Chocolates? Perhaps some champagne?

I wanted to do something she'd like
Maybe I could get her a shiny new bike?

That's when it struck me, straight out of the blue
I'll write her a poem, that's what I'll do

I grabbed some paper and picked up my pen
I quickly entered a state of poem writing zen

It isn't that hard, it isn't that tough
To dedicate a poem to one who's such hot stuff

The words flowed out with such great ease
My only wish was that my efforts would please

After some time, I put my pen down on the table
Fervently hoping my writings don't prove I'm unstable

When I looked back on my writing I started to fret
Was it good? Will she like it? I broke out in a cold sweat

I let all of my worries fly away with the wind
I sat back, thought it over and then I grinned

It really doesn't matter if it sucks a bit
What is important is the thought behind it

This poem has run its course and reached its end
I just wanted you to know how thrilled I am to see you, my old friend

Welcome back Nik, I hope you drop in on us now and then

Now that I have had some sleep, I have refined my poem a little bit. The revised version:

For Nikelbee

I awoke from my nap and much to my glee
Who had dropped by but the fair Nikelbee

Sadness that we had passed like ships in the night
Was quickly replaced by a wave of delight

I shouted Woohoo! and jumped out of my chair
I gave my cat Harriet a really good scare

I started to do my little happy dance
It's kind of a hop but more like a prance

After prancing and hopping about like a fool
I began to calm down and regained my cool

I wanted to do something for my friend Niki
But deciding just what was proving quite tricky

I thought and I thought and I wracked my brain
Flowers? Chocolates? Perhaps some champagne?

I wanted to do something she'd like
Maybe I could get her a shiny new bike?

That's when it struck me, straight out of the blue
I'll write her a poem, that's what I'll do

I grabbed my notebook and picked up my pen
I quickly entered the state of poem writing zen

To my pleasant surprise it wasn't that tough
Writing a poem for one who's such hot stuff

Words flowed out with the greatest of ease
My only wish being that my efforts would please

Some time later I placed my pen on the table
Fervently hoping my writings don't prove me unstable

When I looked back on my poem I started to fret
Was it good? Will she like it? I broke out in cold sweat

I sat back, thought it over and then grinned
My worries all floated away on the wind

It doesn't matter if it sucks just a bit
What's really important is the thought behind it

This poem might not be considered a great work of art
What's important to note is it comes from the heart

And now your poem is winding up and about to reach the end
I just wanted you to know I'm thrilled to see you, my old friend

I had a real scare today (stupid me). For some reason every now and then I gotta re-enter my username/password for ATS. So today I put the info in and "Bad username/password" shows up and I'm like "pooo I musta messed up". So put it in again and it still says it! so I'm like "Did I get banned for something or what?" And then I remember... usernames are case sensitive here.... whoops. I had been capitalizing the K...

Hey nicklebee
Nice Poetry Duzey
Hope all is well Zaph

Later.

Ummm, Kala?

Your username is spelled with a capital K.

Thanks, I hope Nik likes her poem.

A haiku for all you ThreadKillers out there (except Zaph cuz I showed him already):

Anorexia
I just don't get it;
I would binge and purge

Not really very PC :shk:, but it came from a conversation my sister and I had. We can't figure out why anorexia is such a problem when you could have bulimia and eat whatever you want. Sure you might lose weight being anorexic faster, but you wouldn't get any chocolate fudge cake either.

Not that either of them are a good idea or should be encouraged, but if I had to choose between the two, I would be bulimic. That way I could eat lots of candy and ice cream.

This ends your look into the disturbed, and slightly off-centre, brain of Duzey.

I smell a .......

CONSPIRACY!!!!!

Either that or Zaph's feet... :shk:

PS. My haiku isn't reallly a haiku. I screwed it up.

Corrected version:

Anorexia
I just don't understand it;
I would binge and purge

Your findings have no backbone, and everything you have said up to this point is laughable.

The problem with you is you watch too much star wars, and smoke too much pot.

Get into the real world... what a load of loonies... you all should be locked up in an asylum.

George bush is the greatest most honest person in the world... you should all be honored to have him as your president.

Does that qualify as thread killing?...

... cause I tried really hard... that was really difficult for me to type... especailly the george bush thing... I think I'm going to go puke now.

Glad you got it fixed.

Not only will there be haiku, there will be a new era of poetry designed to make you laugh. Duzey is feeling inspired lately. (be very afraid when Duzey refers to herself in the third-person)

I'm going to see about maybe getting writer status. My concern is that everyone else tends to be serious, which is the opposite of my writing. Perhaps I will be told that my poems belong on BTS, which would be a shame because quite a bit of time and effort goes into the longer ones. I spent two hours working on one last night.

Unlike the haiku's, I can't just pull them out of my butt. They take actual work.

I'll probably post one of my new ones tonight.

Stay tuned.

Hello everybody, I'm back!

Did you all miss me?

Hi Nik - glad to have you back.

What's been happening? Did we win the ATS v Pirates War with our blow-footballing pachyderms?
