Well the time is approaching. I am back bagging groceries at the comissary I worked at for many years. One more week of that, and I'm done. Next Friday is my last day there, I have the weekend to pack, an appointment Monday, and leave Tuesday. The flight time is gonna SUCK, but from here to Reno is First Class so it shouldn't be TOO bad. Thank god for mileage.

Nikelbee's Poem

I woke up from my nap and much to my glee
Who had dropped by but the fair Nikelbee

Sadness that we had passed like ships in the night
Was quickly replaced by a wave of delight

I shouted Woohoo! and jumped out of my chair
And gave my cat Harriet a really good scare

I started to do a happy little dance
A bit like a hop mixed with a prance

After prancing and hopping about like a fool
I began to calm down and regain my cool

I wanted to do something for my friend Niki
But deciding just what was somewhat tricky

I thought and I thought and I wracked my brain
Flowers? Chocolates? Perhaps some champagne?

I wanted to do something she'd like
Maybe I could get her a shiny new bike?

That's when it struck me, straight out of the blue
I'll write her a poem, that's what I'll do

I grabbed some paper and picked up my pen
I quickly entered a state of poem writing zen

It isn't that hard, it isn't that tough
To dedicate a poem to one who's such hot stuff

The words flowed out with such great ease
My only wish was that my efforts would please

After some time, I put my pen down on the table
Fervently hoping my writings don't prove I'm unstable

When I looked back on my writing I started to fret
Was it good? Will she like it? I broke out in a cold sweat

I let all of my worries fly away with the wind
I sat back, thought it over and then I grinned

It really doesn't matter if it sucks a bit
What is important is the thought behind it

This poem has run its course and reached its end
I just wanted you to know how thrilled I am to see you, my old friend

I had a real scare today (stupid me). For some reason every now and then I gotta re-enter my username/password for ATS. So today I put the info in and "Bad username/password" shows up and I'm like "pooo I musta messed up". So put it in again and it still says it! so I'm like "Did I get banned for something or what?" And then I remember... usernames are case sensitive here.... whoops. I had been capitalizing the K...

Anorexia
I just don't get it;
I would binge and purge

Not really very PC :shk:, but it came from a conversation my sister and I had. We can't figure out why anorexia is such a problem when you could have bulimia and eat whatever you want. Sure you might lose weight being anorexic faster, but you wouldn't get any chocolate fudge cake either.

Not that either of them are a good idea or should be encouraged, but if I had to choose between the two, I would be bulimic. That way I could eat lots of candy and ice cream.

This ends your look into the disturbed, and slightly off-centre, brain of Duzey.

Dragon Haiku revisited?

Glad you got it fixed.

Not only will there be haiku, there will be a new era of poetry designed to make you laugh. Duzey is feeling inspired lately. (be very afraid when Duzey refers to herself in the third-person)



I'm going to see about maybe getting writer status. My concern is that everyone else tends to be serious, which is the opposite of my writing. Perhaps I will be told that my poems belong on BTS, which would be a shame because quite a bit of time and effort goes into the longer ones. I spent two hours working on one last night.

Unlike the haiku's, I can't just pull them out of my butt. They take actual work.

I'll probably post one of my new ones tonight.
