Well........ it finally happened.

May 30th, 2015 marked the return of Norfolk & Western "J Class" #611 to mainline excursion service. After being restored to operating condition by the folks at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, North Carolina for the better part of a year. This past Saturday saw the ferry move from Spencer to Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia via the Danville and Blue Ridge Districts of Norfolk Southern.
