From Zerohedge.

Boehner Admits Defeat

“The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president of the United States to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country's debt and providing fairness for the American people under ObamaCare. That fight will continue.

But blocking the bipartisan agreement reached today by the members of the Senate will not be a tactic for us.

In addition to the risk of default, doing so would open the door for the Democratic majority in Washington to raise taxes again on the American people and undo the spending caps in the 2011 Budget Control Act without replacing them with better spending cuts.

With our nation's economy still struggling under years of the president's policies, raising taxes is not a viable option.

Our drive to stop the train wreck that is the president's health care law will continue.

We will rely on aggressive oversight that highlights the law's massive flaws and smart, targeted strikes that split the legislative coalition the president has relied upon to force his health care law on the American people.”

An hour late now.

What we agree on (most).

1. We are all pretty sure the debt ceiling will be extended on a temp basis.
2. This only means nothing changes. So what is the incentive to give a little for either side a week,
month, or 2 months from now?
3. No incentive - in same place in January/February. Just keep pushing back and forth
until the ref blows the whistle again to "finish up" in January?
4. Keep adding unprecidented debt while people too stubborn to negotiate on anything remain as
the parents (wise ones) of this Country.
5. Americans keep having faith even though it happens over and over and over. Like an
unconditional love one has for an abusive parent. Even when resenting it does not end it.

Where I haven't seen many go is with where it ends up from there. Will there even be a United States by the time a new presidential election rolls around?

Is the House going to vote or not?!!

I see all these tweets rephrasing several statements. The house will allow a vote, the house will not block, the speaker admits defeat, etc.

So Senate decided on something all else is moot?

So doom still on?

Market to the moon, TPTB sell off their stocks, announce no deal, market crashes.

Pocket easy millions.

I'm fairly sure that puts us past the breach which I do recall reading means that, even if it passes, and it probably will, it could still create some issues.

Oh what a coincidence, just like's last year showdown vote before hitting the 12 Am mark. Before the vote would they even read before the vote or not?
