Okey doke. My avi is approved now; thanks to Zarni for his help.

Now - would anyone like to "stamp" this avi with, maybe -
wildtimes in like an "engraved on a tree or board" sort of font at the top, or maybe icicles? and the ATS logo (stylized if you like) at the bottom right, in maybe a brown or subtle shade that coordinates well with the colors, or 'icicles' dripping type of thing?

Anyone?? If you're bored, I mean?
And I'd like to keep the animation...

I'd like to have this one for winter use. It's turned out to be a big hit, and I like it a lot.

maybe someone else is able to reduce this filesize.. original was 200kb something this is 158kb.

I guess you meant a background? I searched this animation in google and all animations seemed to have the snow in pictures itself instead of separate layers, embedding this in to tree or similar would loose the animation. Sure it can be done but outcome won´t be pretty lol. Or this animation should be redo with only cropped owl in transparent background in one layer, snows in others and so on..

dolluka, I think that looks great!

Right now I just have a cropped gif (used ez gif crop tool) - it's my avi (changed from background).

The "layers" and stuff is way over my head - but, if I save this one from your post, and upload, it should be the right size...

right?

Big Z or the hairy one can confirm, but I think the rule about not having animated gifs as a background image is due to the file size v's server capacity to effectively load a page full of gif images - so it is limited to avatars images only (small dimension and file size rule)

I don't know the exact reasoning behind not allowing animated mini-profile backgrounds, but I suspect it is so that the member info isn't obscured by dancing stuff. Or maybe it's got something to do with page loads... dunno.
