The mismanagement team is becoming nauseatingly transparent. Is it just that the vast majority of people can't or won't see through it all and into the rotted black heart of this dying monster?

Everyone who is Pro-gun control is one event away from being a card carrying member of the NRA.

I don't believe in taking lives. I have a hard enough time throwing punches. If I even handle someone roughly, it begins to make me physically sick.

Gun control and carry permits won't stop murder, but it'll sure as hell make it more difficult. Plus, more consequences should you be caught with one. With a nation-wide ban on firearms using projectiles, how easy do you think it will be to use a gun without having every cop in the state looking for you?

Guns will be like leaving a fingerprint at a crime scene. I'm all for this gun control thing. I hate guns. Guns used to be a good thing, but now, there's too much temptation. We're too out of control. And when a cat gets too wild...

You take its claws away.

A Nationwide gun ban would only take guns out of the hands of "law abiding" gun owners it would do nothing to the criminals that have guns. Look at it this way if you were a bank robber, would you go and rob a bank if you thought that every person in that bank was armed? Most likely not. Gun control groups have nailed a tag on all guns as being evil and they are so wrong. Some of my guns in my safe are loaded and when i open my safe they dont start shooting at me, they are a chunk of lifeless steel and plastic components. The problem isn't guns, the problem lies between the ears of a deranged individual with intent to do harm to others, even if you take the gun away from that type of person they will find another way to do what they feel they have to do in thier sick mind. Blame Family members, friends, co-workers, teachers, doctors etc. of these crazy people who commit these types of attacks and ignore the warning signs that they are not right in the head and could possibly be of harm to others. Ban guns and you'll only have cops and criminals that are armed, so the only ones your crazy ideals would be affecting are the ones that have firearms that are of no threat to you or anyone else.

So keep guns and keep allowing people the ability to kill each other, just because we like guns and power trips?

I like you. You're cruel.

Yes, indeed, Gun Control is the answer.....

Take aim at the psycho's head, and with a steady hand gently squeeze the trigger...

End of crisis. Enough said.

Isn't that how psychos kill civilians?

Remember: as long as guns are around, everyone has them. Guns should never have been invented. All we do is kill each other.

Remember the armed militia groups that were prominent in the 1980's and 1990's? I don't cuz I was just a little babe. But they're back. Or still here, I guess. But this time with more gun power and increasing membership. They're also labeled the greatest terrorist threat to the security of our homeland, according to many government agencies. Read this government report on the history and fear of rising militia groups in this country - many accused to be coerced by Al-Qaeda operatives: www.constitution.org... The Missouri report points out past extremist/fanatic terrorist attacks associated with any "militia group" (a very broad, discriminatory term) on government institutions/agencies or citizens. This rise in anti-government armies goes hand in hand with many Congress members support for tighter gun laws and efforts to push the UN Arms Treaty to outlaw gun ownership in the US and across the world, via the powers of international law enforcement. Yes, I am fearful of this "ill" society where a fanatic can go around shooting movie-goers like we saw today in Denver, blinding them with a tear gas bomb and wearing a bulletproof vest, but guns don't kill people - People kill people. It is our sick society and repressive institutional systems that mass-produce these manifestations of chaos and violent rebellion and mass murderers that we face repeatedly. I do wish for more oversight and a watchful eye over purchases of automatic weapons and tear gas/bulletproof vests etc, but all the rage about "They're gonna take our gunz!" is absurd, if that is what the owners of the world are really trying to do. No government or international force in their right mind can strip our 2nd Amendment rights without facing the next civil war and modern day pandemonium. The US is the most heavily armed and defended populace on the face of the Earth... I cannot even fathom a man's faulty reasoning for killing innocent citizens, or even government agents - innocent pawns in faulty, repressive system. Peace is the only true path to a solution - and 99% of these civilian militias growing in strength are advocates for peace (they are merely exercising their rights and preparing for possible government provocation or the inevitable chaotic collapse of an unsustainable, industrialized society based on the greed of worthless "fiat" money and the molestation of the Earth.) The media and those in power seeking an undefended, docile populace will use this latest shoot-out case, the rise in armed militia groups, and that of the Fast and Furious scandal (which I doubt we will ever find the truth of the matter), of extremism going terribly awry to push for tighter gun laws an an international overreach of power to outlaw gun ownership. Someone seems to be playing both sides against the middle: Create the problem - Offer desired solution. But there is always be two, likely three which no one will ever concede, to any story. So Who, or What, is causing these repeated terrorist attacks on our citizens? This is a question steeped in a foggy cloud of systematic failure and outlandish conspiracy. If it isn't a group of men conspiring to deceive and oppress us, it's the social, economic, and governmental system that their ancestors put in place which allows the concentration of power into the hands of a few and causes societal chaos, or illness, from a repressive establishment - Manifestations of a human psyche plagued with a mutually destructive parasite, sucking the life, peace, serenity, and goodness out of this country and the world at large.

Keep guns and you give people the ability to defend themselves from the criminals that "will always" have guns regardless of your gun control agenda's and have tougher mental screening and evaluations in school's, college and workplace's. Guns are only evil in the hands of an evil person, take that gun away and you can put anything that could be used as a weapon a car, axe, gasoline in that persons hands and they will still find a way to do what they feel they need to do. No laws can stop people from committing mass murders no restrictions on anything will work period. Humans are ingenious creatures they will always find a way around an obsticle. If this guy didnt have access to a gun and instead drove his car through the theater and used his car to kill those innocent people would you be "for" banning cars?

I honestly do not understand any of you "Gun Control" advocates, do you guys think of any other angles or is it just "Ban Guns" and the world will be full of chirping birds and butterflies and we live happily ever after with no more crazy people that want to kill other innocent people. Seriously how stupid can you people be wtf have you learned in life, obviously not much since you think "Ban Guns" and all problems will be solved, no it will not and never will for as long as humans walk this Earth. Maybe just lock every single person on this Earth in a straight jacket confined to their own padded cell then you'll have your world peace with butterflies and chirping birds sounds like great times indeed.

The empty suits in the mass media mentioned that one of the victims of todays tragedy barely escaped a prior mass shooting a few years before in Canada. How is that Gun control crap working out in Canada for you Socialists up there?

This is a joke. We are expected to give up our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms to make the internationalists and Hillary Clinton happy while the madmen Obama and Holder traffic them to drug cartels so they can murder innocent citizens. This is the mentality of this mentally deranged administration of windy city gangsters. ~$heopleNation

Here is one thing I dont get is why no one is really talking about all the nuts in Chicago killing each other and you hardly hear a peep. What is up with that? Is it selective? Only when it works for your political cause. Anyone including the prez who used this to futher there politcal career or their tv ratings ought too be ashamed to call themselves human. And you no that, that is exactly what they are doing. And that is all I have to say about that. And I will say a prayer for the families. Sometimes that is all we can do.

That's always the response. "Law abiding citizens need guns to defend themselves."

They only need guns against bad guys who also have guns. Half the time, it's bad guys who used to be law abiding citizens suddenly grabbing their gun and going berzerk. Take away all guns, and we'll only have knifes and sticks to fight with. Better chances all around. If you know some good self defense, a guy with a knife might as well be a clown with a banana.

Level the playing ground a little, yeah?

Question for you! Who do you call in the middle of the night if someone is breaking into your house????

MEN WITH GUNS!!!!!

Get over yourself! We as Americans have a right guaranteed to us by our Constitution! If you do not like guns, move to a country where the only people who have them are the government and criminals! That way, when someone is breaking into your house, you can wait for your so called protectors to show up and protect you and your family...............................Think about it, you most likely will be dead before they get there because you were willing to live in a country where you are not allowed to protect yourself and your family!!!

Yeah it's desensitization at work.

If some gang member kills a few other gang members it's a daily routine and not worth a second glance. But if some guy straps up and kills people in a mall, it's mayhem and a call for gun control.

If it was 2 gangs going at it and 12 people were killed, of course people would take notice for awhile but this incident is going to be played out in the MSM for weeks and months to come.

Screwed up but there it is.

Peace

The problem with that reasoning is, is that humans are too smart.

History has shown that we have invented a multitude of ways to kill, if there was gun control then people would just make improvised weapon's and explosives,

Just look at prisons for an example.

So and then the rats and mice will be out of control - trading one problem for another is nonsense.

I have been a responsible gun owner for years. Never shot-up a theater or a school.

What do you want to bet the guy didn't get his guns the legal way?

Regarding the sensationalist title from CNN…

Just because there was no one present with a weapon to prevent or mitigate this disaster doesn't mean that a concealed carry permit is a bad thing or even guns in general for that matter.

That's like saying since no police were there to prevent it we shouldn’t have police either.

This doesn't even make sense. CNN – Communist News Network.

With all the odd behaviors I am afraid they may be using a trigger of some sort and creating these kinds of attacks in order to reach for the disarming of the American public.

Hold on. No one said anything about mice. If there's a mouse problem, there's another solution for that. Jail time, or hell.
What works for one problem, will not work for another. And if solving one problem creates another, IMPROVISE. That's what we're good at, right?

Stop making excuses and start making solution. People are getting shot, people are dying because of guns. Because even if good people don't want to use guns, bad guys will. What do you do in that situation, hmm? Some people hate guns, so they refuse to carry them. Then they meet some guy who has a gun, and what's more, he has no problem shooting an innocent old lady in the face for her money. What's she supposed to do?

If guns were outlawed, that man would never have had a gun. And even if he did, that old lady would have a taser, because it would be advised. Replace all mace with tasers. Let's see a man fire a gun when he has 2,000 volts pouring through his groin.

We don't need guns. We have electricity. I've never seen a man pick a fight with lightning and walk away the same.

What doesn't your kind comprehed about the fact that criminals will always have guns? I just never could understand your way of thinking. Are drugs illegal my friend? Is coc aine illegal, heroin? Yes they are, yet they are everywhere in the USA are they not? Your position is flawed, down right reckless and suicidal. If you don't want a gun then that is fine for you, but don't try to take away the rights f those who feel different.

Also, why take away our last defense against a corrupt Government if it ever came down to that? Unless of course you are perfectly happy being a slave eternally. You really need to re-think your pacifistic ideology. Thank god you're not the majority. It's not personal either. I am sure that you're a good person.

I agree, let's level the playing field. Make it easier for law-abiding citizens to acquire firearms. Stop putting useless bans and requirements for purchasing a firearm.

Remember, Japan never tried to invade the US during WW2 because of their fear of citizens and gun ownership.

But more on topic, it is certainly a tragedy for the victims and their families. My prayers are with them.

Let's not make the focus on guns but on those affected by this.
