It's really refreshing to read words like these. The leaps in logic the community here has been approaching this massacre with are borderline revolting. It is obvious that the working hypothesis is that the killer was a patsy, and that all media-gained information must be carefully sifted so as to prove this hypothesis as correct. If "TPTB" are "advanced" enough to, on the one hand, be able to control others in the way some of you assume; it is only reasonable to conclude they likewise are able to cover their trail well enough for us not to be able to see what they're doing.

Let's look at this booby trapped apartment. Some of you insist -- based on zero empirical evidence which you have physically examined -- that the traps are "too advanced" for a civilian to have knowledge of. Only the State could accomplish such a feat, you say. Fine. If they could accomplish something so advanced, could they not accomplish something more simple? Something more befitting the sort of image they wanted to portray? Why would they leave a trail? None of those super-brains thought, "gee, how would HE know how to do this?" Are they really just stupid?

This is pure and simple fanaticism.

This information is coming from a live press conference in progress right now.

They're saying his ammunition/materials came from a large amount of commercial shipments to both his apartment and workplace over the last four months. Also getting a large amount of tips and background information over their tip line and Crimestoppers line.

All personal effects have now been removed from the theater, with the process of starting returning items to owners starting on Monday.

There was some amount of activity on the school campus with police, FBI, and ATF using bomb dogs to sweep for devices (none found), and to check on any missing materials that might have been used; he apparently did not have access to anything "dangerous" that could have been used, and everything was accounted for on campus.

They are saying that the apparent plan with the apartment was that the first person to open that door would be exterminated. They are saying it appears that his goal was not to have it timed to go off on anything except an entry through the door, which would have been after his shooting, and would have likely been a police officer entering. So their assumption right now is that he was aiming to take out a cop.

They appear to be keeping him in solitary and on suicide watch at the moment (standard procedure), but he wont come out any time soon because of prisoner threats towards his life already. It was already stated by multiple inmates that if he steps into prison general population, he would not live to see the inside of a courtroom.

Firearms were confirmed to have been purchased and owned legally.

Everything appears to point towards a state prosecution on all charges at this time, rather than any Federal prosecution.

I wanna hear from the landlord/property manager of Holmes apartment to see if there was roommates or just him, he or they should know?

She certainly has been their star witness and now I think about it more, she didn't appear traumatized.
I missed her seeing the canister was green.. In the dark.
She had the full description of how he dressed with emphasis on it was impossible to identify him.

The news is 95% about emotion. That's how they guide people to certain conclusions and the stance they will take on a subject. Listen to how the new reports are worded and what is reported the most out of all the material they have that could be told. Not really sure we can call it news anymore.

People can have an opinion, thats fine. But stretching it beyond the realm of reason and making assumptions that become accusatory towards individuals appear to be innocent bystanders is also both rude and insulting - not necessarily to the people here, but definitely to those closer to the situation.

Chris Ramos likely knew James Holmes from the school they both went to. He categorically denies anyone opened the door for shooter. Most of the other witness testimony I heard claimed someone took a phone call, got up and opened the door. Did Chris Ramos get up and open the door? Why is his story the story the media is latching onto?

Ouch, this thread is getting testy. I won't say this is staged ( In the shooter's mind probably as some fantasy), but I believe alot is in other stories and in the world in general. Despite a Eye witness saying this, it's totally arbitrary and not being reported at all? If there is even the chance of an accomplice at large, why bury that? Why nothing? In less then 24 hours, he went from having roommates and eye witnesses reporting a helper, then nothing. Lone wolf?

I only bring this up, because people keep questioning the one witness (woman with short hair wearing the Twilight shirt).... Well, she's all over the media today, and where did this Eye witness in the linked video go? Why isn't his story being broadcast? Why isn't he being interviewed by the news agencies?

Again, he states that "Gas Canisters came from the other side of the theater." When you add his story, with the story of someone opening the door after receiving a phone call and letting the masked shooter in, then there is NO LONE WOLF.

AGAIN, two eye witness stories contradict what is now an official time line of events. Thus, a conspiracy is born. If there was more then one acting, then it's a conspiracy.

The twilight witness says she was right in front of the shooter, and says he came in by himself. Her story directly contradicts the others. She says, she had the muzzle in her face, right? And survived unscathed? Her face wound is also healed (pretty nice for less then 24 hours)... Although, that scar could have been there before the incident.

My point is, don't focus on her story. She's all over every news agency. Where's the other witnesses that told conflicting reports?

Granted, members will come in with some "crazy" theories, but that always happens. They will question her tee shirt, and her sexuality, and other BS to make us ALL LOOK LIKE CRAZIES, thus nullifying the real concerns made by the OTHER EYE WITNESSES. Whatever... It happens in any controlled case. Whether it's holographic planes on 9/11 or whatever. It's a tactic that mucks up the true questions and oddities that have arisen in this story. Dis Info? Perhaps...

She's a little odd, fine, and sort of all about being interviewed by every news agency (whose to judge, perhaps she likes talking to media after almost dying). Yeah, strange, but FOCUS ON THE REAL ODDITIES that have taken place in the last 24 hours. That there might be one or more others, who helped and are loose. Something the media doesn't even mention (a small little bit about false reports about a helper, or room mates is better then just not touching the subject at all).

They aren't touching the subject, because calling it a false report, is BS considering Eye witnesses reported in ON LIFE TV while being interviewed.

Well if this is some type of FF that's probably exactly what happened. Now that he did his part, he gets his lifetime clearance for DARPA and a boat load of cash.

Here we go folks, Homeland Security is meeting with mall operators and entertainment operators to find ways to make customers safer......as in "legislation".

If these people are so-called innocent bystanders tell me how Jennifer Seeger has been interviewed more times than anyone else, and in each interview her account is exactly the same, showing little to no emotion and certainly not very traumatized. Also explain to me how she gave a physical description match James Holmes to an exact T, yet the theatre was filled with tear gas and according to her she was prone on the ground and happened to be seated in the 3rd 4th row, which in a traditional movie theatre would have her in a elevated position, not the post point of view to be estimating someones height. I remember hearing her say that she casings had been hitting her in the forehead and burning her as the gunman fired, how did she get hit in the forehead with shell casings if she was prone on her front taking cover? She also said that the tear gas canister was green ? And that he pulled the pin after her got into the theatre, their are other eye witnesses that claim that the canisters were tossed into the theatre before Holmes entered, so how does she know the colour?

See this is the one piece of this story that doesn't make sense, almost every eyewitness has shown zero emotion, no signs of mental trauma, and have definitely forced some tears, or read their account of the events like they were in a debriefing, this is the main reason this whole thing stinks to high hell.

Care to debunk any of that info ?

Amen man. It seems to be very very VERY common on ATS that after there starts to be a legitimate discussion on any topic, suddenly people show up to try to start emotionally charged arguments and move everyone off topic.

Any word on if he bought his movie ticket in advance or did he just buy when he got there?
When a big movie opens at my theatre there's no way you can get in without buying in advance. Seems if he didn't buy it in advance it was a big risk he might not get in and pull off his elaborate plans.

Btw the ticket they show on tv isn't his it's just an example.
I'd like to see his real ticket and time of purchase.
