This does my heart well. A 17 year old won out against a politician. Maybe this country isn't going to hell after all. If more people did what he just did this country would be a better place. God bless him, and god bless America.

Sometimes a single person can succeed where a group will fail. I think solo stealth attacks like this may be the wave of the future. A group protest is obvious and easy to control, but one person calling you out is a lot harder to deal with. I hope we see more singular protests in the future. Group protests seem to have lost their fire.

It realy is annoying how people make the bible out to be fake history that never happened.You can argue what it all means and how accurate things are told and if some of the mysterious miracles and supernatural stuff is real.But it is surely history and one of the greatest pieces of history that tells us about are religious ancestors and how it got started.

What I find funny is both sides are shooting themselves in the foot.

The hard core gay activists / Christian groups just push moderates like myself away from the entire issue.


We don't care if you are gay, we want you to have all the rights that a hetero couple would have - we DON'T want to see homosexuality shoved in our faces all the time, nor do we want some Christian saying they are sinners and are against God.

I am being serious when I ask this, but did you complete high school? I ask this because you are coming off like someone who dropped out of the third grade after the sixth try at it. Your lack of even basic historical or civic knowledge is not only apparent, but rather embarrasing, as it is apparent that you are a citizen of the US, and this site it read the world over. Sometimes being hardcore is the only way to get your point across. One 17 year old is hardly a hardcore protest, but this time it was a successful one.

"To become one flesh" means to have sex. Obviously Christ was quoting Genesis when God created man and woman to be united sexually (to become one flesh) and spiritually. No where in the Bible does it say that it's okay for a man and man or a woman and woman to marry or have sex with each other.

Sounds a lot like specific christian ideals, of which there are many, were forced on other christians. Before that people were actually killed by christians for allegedly not being the same types of christians, or christians at all.

I don't suppose you would consider this politically driven "hatred" of gays getting married analogous to religious persecution and the founding of the United States, would you?

Are you really that much opposed to gays getting the same checkboxes on a piece of paper that you can? What's the problem here? Christians commit atrocities all the same as every other malicious person will, to different extents ranged from outright murder to legal persecution to something as simple as bigotry towards another individual who does hold their specific set of beliefs.

Where exactly does this sense of entitlement some individuals (namely christians in this specific scenario) feel they have over anothers lifestyle come from? No person has the right to enforce any sort of obligation on another like this, this is the basis behind the concept of freedom and a core value of our country, to forget this IMHO disqualifies you to consider yourself any sort of patriot or holder of good morals.

Christianity is a mockery of what it was meant to be, with so many using it as justification hurt others in various ways, those that forget this IMHO disqualifies these individuals to call themselves christians, moreover, THEY should be persecuted for their malformed twisted beliefs instead.

Christianity in the United States has come to be no more than a political tool and justification for heinous acts toward other Americans and even foreigners. I believe some of the worst intentioned and most selfish individuals in America call themselves christians, its sick.

Like it or not, this is the harsh reality of some of your fellowship. To assume anyone who plays to christians or calls themselves a christian has your best interests in mind, is actually quite opposite of what history and reality shows us. In all honesty, it sounds more like you "just want your team to win" no matter the ramifications it has on the civil rights or lifestyles of others.
