You certainly have the right to speculate here. Let's put all that aside and say you were the world leader of peace, and you learned of a dictator that actually was killing innocent people because they were protesting his leadership. What then?

Yes noted

Not Arab Allies but partners. I.e. don't get comfy you're next!

Careful now. Partners could be closer than allies.
I refer to my wife as my partner, not my ally.

It's also because Gaddafi doesn't play by the rules of international finance.

I really don't think this one is about oil. Well, maybe for the French. The U.S. barely gets any oil from Lybia. I really think this one is about stopping a madman (or 3???) in the midst of a revolution, turned civil war in Lybia.

Hsssch... Don't spoil the exscuses used by those that wants to preach about how super-duper evil and greedy the Americans are and that the war is aaaall about Oil.

-- France24 says all aircraft have safely returned to base, contradicting reports from Libyan TV that a French plane was shot down.

Everything has not been about oil. Every US president has not been a madman. I'm an American and as long as I've been alive here for 38 years I've never seen evidence of mania in a US president. Perhaps it's time you stop posting. This attack on Libya is rediculous, and as far as I'm concerned it's unwarranted but I really do not believe it's about oil. Plane and simple war=money.

Perhaps it's time you stop posting

dont you shut me up

but I really do not believe it's about oil. Plane and simple war=money.

every war has been about oil Iraq, Libya etc i could post links but you wont believe them.

If we are bombing all of his defenses what does happen if in theory they drive him out. We are leaving a country without a viable air force, so we will need to support Libya afterwards as well, just like Iraq

1930s Germans didn't have the internet.. CNN war mongering little eichmanns supporting this repeat of history have no excuse.

I hope Libyans unite and rally together to kick both Gaddafis and the UNs collective asses off their soil.

Bingo

Sometimes things really are exactly as they seem.

With any luck - the world will never know what might have happened if someone hadn't intervened

As it is, they were cutting it a little close - his back is against the wall and he's too close to these cities

Qaddafi doesn't give a fig for Libya - or the Libyans

Not sure if this has been posted yet, just woke up.

blogs.aljazeera.net...

Vice Admiral William Gortney, the Director of the US Joint Staff, just completed his briefing. He said that US is "the leading edge" of coalition military operations on Libya, which are aimed at preventing further attacks on civilian and opposition targets and also at degrading the Libyan ability to violate a no-fly zone, both as authorised under UN Resolution 1973.

Al-jazeera is saying the US has now taken the lead in the operations in Libya

This reminds of something Aaron Russo said ( Rip )...who was friends with Rothschild.

They're going to establish the One World Government through the UN...
