With all the predictions of doom for today
I was hoping we could get thru the day
without a significant quake. My heart
goes out to those in Peru. It hasn't
been that long since the quake - will
be following for updates. Thanks for
information all.

No idea, and I was not collecting stuff then.

This page is full of info however, but no phase data.

Still trying to find someone who can tell me WHAT predictions of doom?

I did not hear of any. (They were obviously wrong anyway)

Puterman.....what is going on with the networks today? By looking at USGS Peru has not had one aftershock....not a notable one since it really. I am puzzled. Can you explain this and also....why one network is claiming now of an Oklahoma EQ?

That thing is screwed. There were two earthquakes in Oklahoma. 3.5 and 3.3 I think. Posted them earlier.

As I said earlier I think USGS has a problem at present but I am not sure.

It seems to be behind and slow.

Seeing as IRIS hosts the DMC - Data Management Centre - and all the data ends up there it probably is screwy if they have a problem.

Oct 28th, end of the Mayan Calender - prediction
was for the world to end according to some -
of course there are threads about it on ATS.
They have been speaking of it for months now,
will be glad when its tomorrow and they see
we are all still here.

That one is pretty shallow, compared to the others anyway. Even in depth the networks are conflicting so...I guess.. we really don't know just yet?

Its already tommorrow and I'm still here, so it seems it was a load of rubbish.

Have to admit I was a little nervous though

OT I know but there are some who say animals tend to go missing in greater numbers before a large quake, well one of our ginger-white 11month old cats (kittens?) went missing on the 27th, been 52 hours now no sign of him. Been up and down the neighbourhood and also dropped fliers in letterboxes for the enitre block, about a 4km walk right around.

His twin brother who is still at home is beside himself, in and out all the time, whinning and being clingy. It seems he has no clue where his brother went either.

Walking around the neighbourhood and then later slowly driving to the Mall I realised what a BIG world this is, the hope of us finding the little tike is probably worse than finding a needle in a haystack.
The only hope is that he went for a walk and got lost and eventually will find his own way home.
I sure hope his world didn't end on Oct 28th.

I sure hope you find your little kitten!

I wasn't concerned about the end, at
least for now.

you have to be kidding me!!!
