No worries, mate...

Get a conspiracy theory started? Me??

But seriously, it's taking them quite a while. I'd love to see the traces (wave forms) for this one. Be nice to know they look like a "normal" seismic event and not something else.

Just sayin'....

Yap was a joke but still asking?Maybe they are aware of hiding something wasn't there a CME few days ago?So what is SOHO?

You sneaky character!
I knew you had to know about USGS!

I don't know what's up with USGS on this one. We're just guessing that they need to firm up the data.

And no, I'm not taking the bait on SOHO. Not this time!
(But I don't think the CME was anything exceptional, anyway.)

I wonder what the New Madrid Zone is going to be doing for this evening's Final "World Series" Game 7??

Hopefully, not a thing, cause that would be seen all over the world for certain...

Being the 28th and all......

I think only the Aleutian Islands 5.5 is showing on the usgs heli's.

EMSC may have a glitch.

Ok, now I think it's the Kermadec one. Puterman's QVS one has disappeared.

You started a thread where you predict a possible mag 8.3 quake for Greece

Do you have a little linkpoo for that one Mike (I know it is not you. I just have not seen it because I tend to not look at any threads but quake watch, volcano watch, volcanos in Iceland, geophysics discussion and Yellowstone. A small world)

Puterman's QVS one has disappeared.

Because unlike these sites my program takes note of deletions (at least for 7 days). You will find it under the deleted list, just as you will find all previous versions of a quake in the revisions list.

It's an unusual location (relatively) and that could be adding to the issue.

It is an unusual location (very). Nothing recorded for 200 km circular search around the co-ordinates of that fake quake.

Must have been a Russian sub dropping a nuke before going into the Sea Of Okhotsk - darn that is difficult to spell

The energy is exactly the same no matter the depth. What I believe you mean is the shaking or intensity which at 1 km will be much greater than say at 30km. This quake is right under the town of Tamga.

There have been reports 130km away of slight shaking but nothing from the town so far.

I am very surprised that USGS do not have this yet. In fact I am thinking that USGS have a data problem as very little is coming out in the lists. Last I have is 12:42 UTC and it is now 14:19 UTC. I would have expected items up to about 13:45 so i am thinking this is around an hour behind what it should be.

OK, don't buy it. It is normal for that instrument.

If you don't believe me get yourself a copy of Vase 2.9, download the waveform for that day and download my program and then create a sound file. You will hear that this is all interference of some kind which as I have stated before I believe is cause by cultural sources.

If you really don't believe me why not try asking USGS? I may be wrong so it would be a worthwhile exercise.

I look forward to hearing their reply.

That song is awesome. Rad. Whatever you kids call it. Get off my lawn.
Finally, we're getting some real super production values.

Did you know as you get older use lose the ability to pick a hit song? To me that should be top forty.
Young people have a keener sense to hear songs with hooks. Hooks that are on the cutting edge of the current trend. So, I'm out to lunch. I actually grooved to it. What a sight I bet.

There's another one in Arkansas.
That makes 8, just for this morning.
