I'm not sure if this picture has been posted. I got tired of reading all of the "Its a helicopter - NO its not" arguments, so I skipped a few pages.

Here's another image taken from a different angle.

Here's something alittle bit new about this topic...

Stunned witnesses reported seeing a comet-like fireball in the sky and a number of local residents took photos of the strange ball of light.A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu, said he had seen a strange glowing object in the sky late on Wednesday afternoon.

'The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,' he said.

Inbound flights were diverted to nearby airports while outbound flights were delayed for three to four hours.

Some Chinese experts claimed that the strange sight was actually debris from a US intercontinental ballistic missile.
Chinese officials later said that they knew what the object had been but were unable to make it public because there was a 'military connection'.

Maybe I haven't read the entire thread, but, how do you know the airport was even shut down because a UFO? Are you taking the OP's source serious even after it tried to use a fake UFO image to support the story?

The airport was closed for a short time period due to a "UFO". It's all over the media. And the Chinese have admitted it too - they announced an official report would follow on Friday (it did not).

You should really read through a thread before you post.

I wonder if this event isn't more TERRESTRIAL in nature. Because, if you look a recent headlines -- our Navy had 3 subs pop-up offshore of China, I suppose to remind them that we have dangerous, sneak submarines again.

The fly-over might also be a warning. Likely we have a Mock 10 aircraft by now.

Here is a bullet point of things going on at the moment:
>> Tough pressure on China to revalue currency higher.
>> More pressure on Iran to stop defending itself and perhaps join the international banking scheme to make them join all the other countries that don't control their own destiny.
>> Iran has rumblings of Democracy from youth sick of rule by religious theocracy.
>> Semi-annual movement of US weapons and aircraft carriers which undermines Democratic movement and allows more support for authoritarian rule.
>> Russia starts pushing countries to not allow US fly-overs (which effects Iran).
>> US suddenly finds a group of sleeper cells and arrests the Russian spies.
>> Russia and US exchange "spies"
>> US subs pop up on coast of China.
>> Super fast UFO flies over airport and shuts it down.

Is this a demonstration of US military power -- or is it just scratching China's back by scaring the population so that THEY can keep down annoying demands for better treatment by their people?

To me, I'm starting to side more and more with the "Castle Building" concept and that most of the leaders around the world work to help other world leaders by scaring their populations. If the US and China and all the rest of these nations stopped provoking each other -- wouldn't that mean we'd all be reducing our militaries and using that money to do stuff for the people?

Can't have that, can we?

It just looks like a passenger plane with electric problems (lights out) and on fire... going down hard!

I believe this photo/incident was reported to be a missile.

Oh? Is that it? Could the UFO have been a missile?

PS. There's so many pages here, could some of you refrain from using this thread as your own personal forum to apologize or talk directly to othersr? Would you please instead, just use the U2U function?? These threads start becoming personal Tweeting posts!!

I did read the thread, but all the sources claiming this event happened are all questionable. Do you have any sources that are not so questionable?

I didn't see any...

Interesting case!!

as for the photo, its just an aircraft shot with a slow shutter speed

over exposed night shot means the shutter was open for 3-7 seconds which results in
the object seen as a trail of the aircraft left on the camera sensor, note the bright underneath which is a constant light , and note the small lights on top ..its just one aircraft light that blinks twice every second like they usually do .

simple :-)

The first image from June 30th and was probably an American missle.
english.people.com.cn...

The second image could be related to visual UFO reports from Zhejiang and appears to be a sunset lit jet contrail.

You are seriously questioning if this event "happened"...?

Is the Head of Air Traffic Control at the local branch of the Civil Aviation Administration of China good enough for you?

HANGZHOU, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Aviation experts are expected to complete late Friday their investigation into an unidentified flying object that disrupted air traffic over east China for an hour on Wednesday.

An investigation team, comprising police and aviation officials, are still trying to identify the UFO that was located over Zhejiang Province.

"No conclusion has yet been drawn," said Wang Jian, head of air traffic control with Zhejiang branch of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, told Xinhua Friday.

Eennoo.....

Thanks mate!

I'm not sure where this thread is heading.

On the one hand.....

We have some vague reports about a UFO at an airport in China & we all know what some of these hopeless Chinese UFO reports are like.

On top of that, we have picture of a helicopter.

On top of that we have Jim Oberg's verification of the rocket launch.

As one of my daughters would say..... "Oh der".....

On the other hand.....

Well, there is no "on the other hand".....it's a "nothing" case.

Kind regards

That picture was taken June 30, of the Russian rocket launch -- clearly it's already getting mixed up in people's minds and memories with the airport story.

I click that link, and it leads to some website Ive never heard of. I click the little 2 on the bottom of the article to go to the next page, and it shows a picture of a fake UFO that is actually a helicopter.

You just linked to a website that can't even identify a long exposure of a helicopter...

Why should I believe the story within it, when I clearly see deception?

The US missile claim came from some dumb Chinese astronomer. He either did not know of the Russian rocket seen all across central Asia, or he decided to use the event for anti-US xenophobia. The identification of the comet images and video from june 30 with the russian rocket is as ironclad as reality can get.

I was posting what pics "Dailymail" had up on their site. They made it seem that someone took a pic from a different angle(Pic1) of the same night. This is the quote underneath 'Pic1' on Dailymail site:

Another photo from a different angle which shows a wide trail behind the object as it zips through the sky

Source

IMO, as of now, I'm leaning more towards that it was a missile. I'm not saying it was a missile attack or anything but so far theres more evidence leaning towards a missile. They could be using this UFO as a cover story...

G'day me ol' mate Fox!

Notwithstanding there is no reason why that ATC report could not have been as dodgy as dodgy.....

The Chinese authorities lied about & covered up an incident wherein they smashed a rocket into a village & killed..... how many people?

What about the "official" reports of the strange UFO with legs.....ahem, sorry.....I mean the "pig" balloon.....

What about the strange morphing alien that descended from the stars.....ahem, sorry.....I mean the bug on the camera.....

I reckon the reports from over there are almost always a total mess, like this one.

Cheers

What does it matter if you've heard of the website or not? You were questioning if the event "happened" and I linked you to a website that had interviewed one of the investigative officials.

If that's not enough for you to believe the event "happened" then I'm truly wasting my time discoursing with you.

You see a long exposure of a helicopter? Guess what - so do I. But I'm capable of understanding that something shut down the airport for an hour. And I would like to know what, alien or not!
