First I'd like to say I'm of Hispanic Heritage, Puerto Rican of-course, and this is my country also, I'm not racist against white people who love to rape one another in the country of back stabbers. Third blame the big for what has happened to this country and when I talk of big I mean big business aka TBTP aka the Man, they are the ones who raped this nation and guess what buddy I would bet the majority is white. Last but not least why be racist when they do everything your typical American wont. Whose gonna raise your kids or cut your grass for cheap, certainly isn't gonna be you as your on ATS right now, so rethink your stance or get out there and do what doesn't want to be done and get your hands dirty .

I don't hate anyone, but this is America and was built on American values. America's infrastructure is being torn apart by illegal immigrants and our economic sytem is in the trash. I don't like Spanish forced down my children's throats and I don't like seeing the Mexican flag in my country, because this IS America. Mexico damn sure wouldn't allow it in their own country. I have compassion for those in extreme poverty, but Mexico should come up with their own solutions and sustain it's own people.

Mexican anchor babies will soon be the majority in this country and in thirty years(or sooner), there is no supporting the burden of thousands coming into this country at a steady rate or even Americans for that matter.

I'm also tired of hearing excuses that Mexicans do the jobs no Americans will do. Mexico needs to clean up it's trash and support it's people.

if you are so proud of your hispanic puerto-rican heritage, why not take your expertise, enthusiasm, and pride back to puerto-rico to change and improve puerto-rico for all the citizens there?

Thanks for the support, guys! I'm just glad to get that off my chest. At least to try to prevent people from generalizing, you know? I hope this whole thing gets fixed in the end though, one way or another. But again, thanks for hearing me out!

As we delve deeper into my rabbit hole I will let you know I'm half (Puerto Rican & Italian), and irregardless of my race we are all immigrants, and that was very low of you to say considering Puerto Rico is a common wealth of the U.S and also I was born here in the good ol' U.S of A.. Also my expertise shouldn't be considered expert as its common knowledge, that were are all related; Homo sapiens. If it was in my capacity to help I would help the world just not a single country, but first on the list would be my country of whom I've always been a citizen too.

I'm not saying you should like them but we should all be treated equally.

What part of 'ILLEGAL' are the bleeding hearts not getting? What part of the disastrous mess this country has been dumped in are they not getting?

First, NAFTA has resulted in the destruction of farming in Mexico. Because the US can export to Mexico basic foods at below the cost of production for the average Mexican farmer. Why? The US subsidizes grain production in the US, especially corn - see the documentary Food Inc. for more details.

If your family is starving, due to US farm subsidy practices, you will seek work where ever you find it. Just so happens the US has predatory farmers who will hire you and then throw you away when production is finished. The same is true for construction outfits that prey on illegals.

The kinds of patriotic comments seen here are just veiled racism. I saw the same stuff in the 50's and 60's when I lived in California. It just takes different forms and excuses.

Well said, well written. This is entirely true. I know in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, back in the 70's, when govts. started working FOR the people, the CIA stepped in and forced dictatorships on those countries, the rest is pretty ugly. This is why I was saying that unless we fight for the common good, sooner or later, it will be them or us trying to take whatever is left on the table. We have robbed many nations of their wealth and now they're crossing our border to get back what was taken from them.

I would suggest remembering that the "La Raza" people are being manipulated and are just brainwashed themselves. They're not interested in bettering latino's lives in their home countries. Rather, they want to promote the "feel good" illusion that their problems will be solved by taking over the western United States. This is typically focused on the youth and very normal Jesuit kind of revolution not unlike the Russian revolution, the Nazis or the Maoists.

I don't think it's appropriate to think the "people" are the problem. They aren't it's the manipulators, the church that is manipulating the minds. People are people anywhere.

We all know that in order for someone, even a country to become extremely rich you must be cutting a corner. The Europeans invaded South America and took their gold, they also invaded most of Africa, the U.S did exactly the same. That's the true American way, my way or the highway.

People tend to forget this, or ignore it! Its the same with England. When we had our "empire" we were not excactly nice people!

Imagine if we had native americans posting on this board. They should be the ones to moan and be angry about people coming onto their land and killing thousands of there people. So, there is alot of ignorance in the world today. and alot of hate!

But, to hate is in our blood. If its hating a different colour, or a ufo de-bunker hating a ufo believer and vice versa!

I wish people saw the world, and human beings the way i do. The world would be a much better place! Even though our technology is moving forward fast, our minds are still the same in many other areas that they were thousands of years ago, and that is a scary thought!

I hate this love for our country rubbish! Why cant people be just as passionate for the world, and realise that we are all the same. We are all related. But, hate seems to come very natural to us human beings

No, we speak English here in America. There should be no option to press 2. There in lies the the problem and a source of conditioning.

I live in a northern state, so I have had little experience with illegals here. I know I am going to get slammed for this but here goes anyhow.
I am sick and tired of the thugs walking around with their pants hanging half way down their a##. These people are not from other countries but were born HERE, I do not even have to say who they are if you live in the north you probably know. They do not work but think what is yours belongs to them, they have no respect for anybody and will kill you for five dollars. I have watched a city I grew up in go to a virtual war zone. I am literally afraid to go out on the street anymore. There are shootings here everyday. I am sick and tired of their loud a## music all the time everywhere I go. I just moved from a neigborhood that was a good neighborhood when I moved there 8 years ago but is now riddled with section 8 welfare rentals, contant break-ins, drug deals, etc. I had a gunshot hole in the front porch of my house there, thank god it hit the metal porch otherwise would have went into the house. Anyhow, that is my experience.

I disagree. You don't choose your emotions, only your actions. A person can think about robbing a bank everyday, but he is not a thief unless he does it.

In this case, I wonder how significant, if at all, a racist feeling is unless it impacts treatment of the cause of those feelings. I would say, to the world it makes no difference. It only impacts the individual. For me personally it is a double edged sword. I have these emotional responses to seeing mexican/hispanic people and things, and then I get angry that I am having that response.

Could you chose not to love your kids?

Our emotions don't preceed out thought process, they are the result of. We feel according to the way we view things. You don't love other kids as much as your own because you don't "see" them as your own. So we definitely have control of our emotions by changing the way we think and view things.

Exactly, hence, conditioning. As stated quite clearly in the opening, it was what I saw and experienced that changed my overly positive view of mexican/hispanic people and culture.

Your right that emotions don't precede a though, initially. However, once a emotion is established in relation to something, it can. Be that love or hate, both can be conditioned responses.

These aren't "bleeding hearts", Wylekat. They are POISONOUS SNAKES. Look into the "beautiful lies" that suckered the Russian people into accepting the communist/ socialist overthrow there during the revolution. And look what happened in countries like Poland & Czechoslovakia once they were in power. Where was that "beautiful dream" then? All of this is portrayed as "love" and "equality" and "joining together to make the world better". The steps to socialism are portrayed as things that will "benefit everyone". Look what happens when people THINK and question and resist what is being pushed on them. Look at what is happening on ATS, (in the comments section) at Huffington Post and in the archives under "healthcare reform" of political sites like TPM Muckraker & Fire Dog Lake. Also Daily Kos. Watch what happens and you will recognize what has been- IS, happening here. Right here on this thread. Watch how they switch tactics back & forth. And watch how they turn on people after they get frustrated. (MANY times, I have seen them tell someone "if you don't like it, leave" and thought How Ironic. Years ago, it was the "republican" side who had the "love it or leave it" thing) You can't miss these people. Look at user names.

Some of these people are the "useful idiots" (Organizers for America AKA OFAs- look them up to see who they are) who have only been taken in, but there are hardcore socialists/ communists behind them. Labels like "communist" and "socialist" get an eyeroll, sometimes even from me, because we've been there & done that for so long. Those 2 terms have been replaced with "globalism" but they mean the same thing.

There is NOTHING "sappy" or "bleeding heart" about these people. They are RUTHLESS manipulators and oppressors. We are in a fight for our very lives.

I'm sorry but you wouldn't be thinking that if it took a backseat to YOUR family's welfare. If there is anyone to blame, a lot of people hit the nail on the head, blame your government! I can't harbor bad feelings for people trying to chase the American dream. I'm actually shocked that people are agreeing with this. The title is "I'm becoming a racist," and people are condoning this? Well you spoke your mind and I will speak mine, I think you're wrong....and by the way I am not Mexican but my son is 1/2.
