A big hug for you. Keep calm now, get some supplies in and try not to let all this weigh you down. Us human beings are incredibly resilient when we need to be , so draw on that strength inside of you now.

Seriously guys, if you haven't gone to the store yet you should go now.. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but I think it should be at least considered... This is getting wild very fast and there is no telling what will be going on by tomorrow..

The W.H.O should have raised it straight to a level 6.
The situation fits their standards for a level 6.

The woman in charge at the W.H.O. said that they have 5 million doses of tamiflu .. and then she added 'clearly that isn't going to be enough'.

She also said she expects this to be severe.

I fully expect the schools to be closed next week.
Right now 100 schools in the USA are closed.
I figure most, if not all, will be next week at this time.
I'll be surprised if they aren't.

They just said the same thing on BBC masks are pretty much useless and Tamiflu is only if you are infected.

Thing is, Tamiflu, for those who want to trust it, is to be taken at first signs of the flu.
Why would that be discouraged to anyone who doesn't have it, but wants to be prepared.
Maybe they themselves know Tamiflu is junk and doesn't want people using it.

Makes me wonder what this pandemic is going to do to our already fragile economy.....? The most confirmed cases are here in the good old U.S. and you have to wonder how long it will be before other countries start banning travel here and importation of our goods...... Not good. Also, let's not forget that hurricanes will be spinning up any week now. Not good man. Not good at all.

GAME OVER MAN! THE QUARTERBACK IS TOAST!!! (From the movie Aliens)

I hate the Dark Tower Series. But that's just me.

Um... we're not all going to die? Are we?

If so, screw the drinking age...

Really though like we're not all going to die, right.
I'm 18 I can't die I've barely done anything!

drinking is over rated anyways so you arent missing anything.

all you can really do to live life is find happiness. nothing else that i can think of is above happiness.

dont think you havent done anything in life because being 18 your life is just starting really.

peace

Ok REMEMBER THAT !!!
6 days to get back results.I have seen other quotes about taking days yet some are being labeled 'infected' or 'not infected' within hours.
All these numbers IMO are shady.

Edited for spelling

Thank you for that reply...I laughed till I had tears roll out...

I have the same plan as you...

Maybe we should pick us up some diapers for level 6...lol...

I will stay where I am and ride it out...

When my day comes I will go... nothing will stop that...

I have no fears for myself...Just those I would leave behind...

I spoke to an employee who was ex-military when placing an order for a M95 NBC CBRN mask, and was told masks will do no good for viral protection. Too many variables for transmisson. You would have to wear basically a full blown Bio Chem suit with oxy tanks 24/7. I cancelled order.

Looks like i'll have to dust off the old NBC suit then! Not that i have one really. Hey do you reckon i could hire one from a fancy dress shop?

Don't know if i'd be able to get it back to them mind you.

Then why do the governments even bother supplying the nurses, Dr's and other frontline staff with then if they are useless. Honestly, there is so much conflicting advice about masks it drives me nuts.

It means that people shouldn't panic and rush out to buy Tamiflu.
Most countries have a good supply of Tamiflu for approx 1/3 of the population. While that doesn't seem enough, don't forget that Tamiflu is being used for patients to slow down the symptoms untill a working vaccine is developed to deal with the swine flu.

One of the things with Tamiflu is that you just can't take let's say 6 pills and become immune, you need to take it daily untill an effictive vaccine is out.

With the WHO issuing a level 5 warning, all countries are going to give the order to their farmacutical companies to start working activly on a vaccine to counter the swine flu. In the meantime they still need the Tamiflu for cases if a person becomes infected. So they need all the Tamiflu they can get.
