You do of course realize that the symbol of the crucifix was used time and again eons before the jesusgod was supposed to have even been born?

The bible is a story that has been stolen from the Babylonian's and those have stolen it from the Sumerian's. The Sumerian account is the first written account of such a creation story.

All the others have altered the story over time for there own purposes.

I want to advise all the bible believers to read the Sumerian creation story wich is a lot like the bible only this story is the true account. It speaks of the creation of the universe and de genetic creation of the first man. Backed up by scientific evidence that the creation story could well be the true story. All this stands on 25.000, 6000 year old clay tablets.

Christianity and other believe systems are a fraud! Hard to say for the conservative American but it is how it is.

Whether Christian or not, all people will see what they want to see according to the Beliefs they were either Indoctrinated into as a small child, or chose to accept at some later time that will still embody some Belief-System.

Old Thinker, is there really a need for this Mission to convert? If so my friend, what is that need? Is it your personal need, or the need of the God of your beliefs? No offence meant there.

Suffice to say, the evidence supplied for the O.P. does not prove a thing, unless I look at it through very small perception filters and discard any other possibility or probability.

Yes, the Bible indicates the earth is round, several times.

I understand that you most likely do not see the bible as a story (the original intent) but as a book of prophecies meant to be interpreted and read as fact. But the fact is that this particular document has been re-written, re-formatted and distorted all throughout history by man, not God therefore in Christians logic it is now tainted by the sins of man, and cannot be true.

Old documents including the Dead Sea Scrolls, read almost word for word the same way as the modern King James Bible, and many prophecies such as Daniel's interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream have come about. God said He would protect His word and keep it (as it was originally given by Him to His prophets).

I will agree that the Christianity at the base level provides some very good life lessons and stories to guide you into that direction, but it stuns me how very rational human beings can belive that every sunday they are drinking the blood of a 2000 year old god.

This is a Catholic thing, none of the other branches of Christianity believe this. I used to be a Catholic, and even when I was, I had a hard time with that aspect of it, (God trying to tell me something?) and now I know this to be a false aspect. I'm not a Catholic anymore, because a lot more than just that is wrong, but that knowledge comes from actually reading the Bible and that is what God wants us to do. NOT just believing what man has to say about it.

I guess you know, in the Bible God also says that some will just not want to see, hear, or believe, even if they had all the proof in the world. (Then they would have to take a look at themselves and not be able to FOOL themselves any more.

Jesus was just a prophet ! When John the baptist (Jesus's cousin) was arrested and beheaded by Herod. Jesus was so afraid he might be next, he fled to Egypt. He only returned when he found out that Herod had died. Thats when he decided to act out the prophesy of the mesia. The church dont want you to know that! I believe in God almighty, but Jesus was not the son of God. He was a very brave prophet, full stop.
