Yeah, I agree. It makes me think Obama's main goal is to promote policies that will make his professors at Harvard smile.

My mother and I were talking about Osammie this morning. I called to tell her that a show was on the History channel about the Revolution. I told her I was the community leader for GOOOH, which I have never told her. She got a little freaked out. Then I explained to her if we want change in this country people are going to have to be radical and take matters into their own hands.

We talked about another show I had just switched from about Hitler. My father was in WWII so I thought she might want to see it. She said she had seen enough about him and didn't want to see it.

Then she said "you know who else I'm sick of seeing and hearing about? Obama." This is a lady who isn't into politics but can see (thanks to the history she has been through) that Obammie is a marxist and would ruin this country. She went on to say she is fearful what would happen if he did become the POTUS. Then she also said the people that are supporting him are illinformed or either brainwashed.

I love my mom, she is dang smart!! She liked him at first then all I had to say is "listen him closely next time he is speaking. He's a socialist, do you really want that for your grandkids?" Done deal!

His political campaign advisor is Zbigniew Brzezenski, a prominent member of the Trilateral Commission, that's reason enough for me not to like him.

The UN would not pass a resolution condemning the attack. What would most likely happen is that we would use our CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS to bomb whoever attacks us back to the stone age. You DO know that we have those, right? I'm not saying we need no weapons, I'm saying that we need no weapons that destroy a chunk of the planet for years and years and is GUARANTEED, via fallout, to kill civilians, scores of them.
If we dismantled our nukes tomorrow, and N Korea nuked us (so unlikely it's amazing), we would then proceed to carpet bomb them. In fact, we have more than enough conventional munitions to drop a bomb on every square meter of the country. Why do we need additional deterrant? Is that somehow not enough?

I will be honest. One of the main reasons I am an Obama supporter is precisely because of his lack of experience with washington politics. I want someone in office who is somewhat unaware of how to play the game. Naivitee can be a virtue when the current paradigm in american politics has f#**ed this country up so badly. I want someone that doesn't understand that you have to play ball with lobbyists, the military industrial complex and power mongers. I want someone that doesn't know any better. I want the corrupt system of political raketeering broken. Maybe Barak Obama will do this. It's not a certaintity, but it's the best chance we have had in recent decades.

And on a side note no one says that you can't bring up race and spouses etc. but if you are going to sink to that level expect to feel the heat from people that expect a more mature debate with regards to the issues. Obama detractors actually complaining that Obama supporters hit back when they say idiotic things about him being hitler or a muslim yada yada. If you can't handle the retaliation then don't say dumb things. It's ironic that Obama detractors bring up irrational bs and then cry foul when they are taken to task for it. You can in fact take issue with anything you like about the candidate, no one is stopping you, just don't be suprised when you are called out on your "infantile" statements.

He is something different and that alone even in light of his lack of experience is worth taking a chance on given where our current politics have brought us to...multiple wars, rampant corruption, loss of respect in the world. In retrospect I would have rather had any average unexperienced american as our last commander and chief instead of the insanity that "fortunate son" George has brought us. I am willing to roll the dice and take my chances with Obama. I have lived the alternative for the past 8 years.

I thought you wrote a very decent post, but I wanted to point out that the one of the big reasons GW was elected was that he was an outsider, his lack of experience with Washington politics was touted as a good thing. GW was supposed to change things for the better. My observation of Obama, and research into his positions tells me that his outsider approach will not be any better than GW's.

I thought the nineties were great, and that Bill Clinton did a great job of running our country, and I think that Hillary will essentially do essentially the same quality of job. Maybe after we get someone in with the experience to bring us back to the prosperity of the nineties, we can try something a little more experimental.
