omg, first off cnn didnt even show the news conference with the questions and answers, then the program manager says it was a 2inch piece of platic the totally blew it off like I said they would, this wont go on for long one day these objects are gonna do something very blatant its gonna be hard for them to ignore, if they interefere with the landing tommorrow lets see what nasa has to say then... what about all the other pieces?

I saw the same news conference just now on CNN.. How in the hell do they expect people to believe that this "object" was a 4 inch piece of shimstock???? This is about the most moronic replies that NASA could have given. There is no way in hell the object on the video is the same thing the admin just held up at the new conference.

I thought it was very interesting that W. Hale was just saying that anything they see that is "white" is simply dismissed as "Ice".

We often see interesting things in Space from NASA and often objects appear "white". Just about anything can look "white" when seen on Camera from space! Including the Shuttle and ISS and other things that certainly are not "Ice".

From what I'm getting they are saying no damage nothing missing and they aren't saying much other then the objects must be shimstock, HOW STUPID.

The people asking the questions are embarrassing so far and not asking good questions so far. The man speaking looks to have a queer expression such as he thinks he is getting away with this.

Why doesn't a reporter just come out and ask if it could be a UFO/UFO's and put them on the spot.

They are getting away with this again.

The man is not exactly answering questions he is side stepping.

Fox News sure didn't show much of the Briefing. When Nasa does have a Briefing they (Fox) usually plays everything why not this time when it could be history making.

I'm feel this is trial run for our reactions.

I of course hope the shuttle lands safely but I also hope these objects escort it so there will be no doubt these are UFO'S

THE MAN SEEMS HAPPY THAT THE QUESTIONS ARE CHANGING FROM THE OBJECTS.

Sad very sad indeed at the corruption.

I wonder. They spend millions of dollars on SETI programme, they send some ridiculous information about human beings to huge galaxies using a radio telescope, they involve thousands of people from all over the world to help find the signals from space with the help of their computers and now what.. Extraterrestrials are in front of everybody's noses but noone official prefers talking about it and more than that they switched off the cameras on the shuttle. What is going on with these people

Here is a nice photograph. Do you think it's space debris?? As per latest BBC reports (As at 1630 hours, GMT, 20 Sep), there were five objects, all of them unidentified.

But as one comentator said, these may be parts of the Colombia shuttle that broke up during re-entry.

AP/NASA

An unidentified possible small debris object floating near Space Shuttle Atlantis, as photographed by hand by astronaut Daniel Burbank.

Here is a magnified image...

ET UFO theory DENIED!!!

They just made it clear that they are parts from the shuttle. The official debunk has begun!

It seems to me like NASA got in trouble with that object. They can't say it's a space junk couse it would make one hell of a coincidence for that to have those speeds and trajectrories. If they say it's a debris from Atlantis it would summon even more questions, and if so they can't make up that it is safe for landing because people would ask for a proof of that. That leaves them with an UFO.
I suspect, they will take the risk and say something like "we don't know what it is, but we are sure it's no threat to the mission."
Then, if it has anything to do with the aliens,... everything might end up very phracked up. Lets hope it wont.

Well, they've figured their way out of the 1st object, but for the rest of them i stick to that prediction.
going for the popcorn now.

OK, i am officially pissed. I would of liked one of the reporters to ask how does this NASA jerk think space shuttle debris floats off in a triangle formation

Also that piece of shimstock, what a load of [snip]
those cameras wouldnt pick that up 100 metres away, it was obviously bigger than that. PLASTIC BAGS???

Parts of Columbia? I'm not an expert, but how can this be?

If It's debris from Columbia, it would have already been in the atmosphere, because that's what caused the Shuttle to break up in the first place. How could debris from that catastrophe then get back out into space, and maintain a LEO since Feb-03?

How come they didn't know this stuff was already out there? We already track @ 9600 items that are 10cm or greater?

And is it just me, or are there other that didn't once see anything like the shimstock Hale just showed us? Somethin's just not stirrin' the Kool-Aid here. . .

I don't think that there has been any evidence thus far that anything was ET. ( Although someone reported seeing a brown saucer, I have yet to see that so I won't comment about that one yet. )

Personally I have a problem with calling space debris , UFOs. The term doesn't mean ET and should be used to be synonymous with Unconventional Objects that defy conventional explanation after careful examination.

With that said there was a report last week of an "unknown object" that did not make it into the Press and NASA never said a word about that again. That is the event that interests me the most because it was kept quite while here NASA and the Media are in a frenzy over an "unknown object". The difference is IMO , they knew from the get go that this time they were looking at space debris.

What did you guys expect? Them admitting that the objects might possibly be Alien Spacecraft? No, they come up with other explenations, it's what they've always done and will do until they are told otherwise.

I cannot understand how any terrestrial object can travel in the earth's lower atmosphere (through the clouds) at a speed of around 10 km\s. I'm talking about the first object from all these events which was shown even on the Russian TV yesterday.

I don't know about you but my gut is telling me they are laughing and wiping there brow and patting each other on the back saying, I THINK WE GOT AWAY WITH IT.

If you have time go check out some of the top news stations on the net and see if you are as surprised as myself. Fox doesn't even have it as top news, there is hardly nothing on it at all, you really have to look.

This should tell you how bad our stations are censored.

I think they are just going to drop this if we let them. OUR TAX DOLLARS AND WE ARE LIED TOO.

I know what UFO means. I did not mean that the actual debris are ET ufo, I mearly stated that the NASA official denied that they might be of any other object out there. This includes ET ufo. In other words, even if they are ET in nature, he will deny it. He concluded "these objects are all pieces of the shuttle"
and that they were not from any other source.

" Don't worry about that people. . . There's nothing to see over there. . . Look over here. This I what you should be looking at.
".

Could be NASA's diverting our attention with a nice show. . .

NASA officials are never asked the questions they should be asked. It's like the reporters asking them questions in those briefing rooms are told not to ask certain questions. They get away with saying what ever they'd like to say. And you know damn well that the people on board the space shuttle won't be able to talk much at all once they land. They will say it was all debris too...

Hey guys, they finally ran the story featuring the triangular formation again on BBC World - this time, I videotaped it. I also captured it with my cheap digital camera on movie mode - apologies for the less-than-stellar quality but there's nothing I can do about pointing a camera directly at the refresh rate of a tv, and for those of you who haven't seen any such reports it's better than nothing, right.

Even on this grainy clip, you can make out the disc shape and 3d depth of the objects, which obviously look much better on the tv itself. Look carefully at the right hand corner and you will see that other (4th) object, travelling to the right before they cut the footage. Intriguing stuff. Again, they remind me very much of the Mexican footage on Google Video.

I can't believe they have the gall to continue referring to this formation as 'debris', here's the link (it's 8mb) download.yousendit.com...

By the way, a thought about the 'plastic bag' - surely something as flimsy as that would quickly burn up in the vacuum of space? Would I be right there? Are we being led to believe a plastic bag could withstand those kinds of temperatures? Just like we are led to believe many things like.. ahem.. 9/11 (*shudder* - runs and hides)

They probably already know the questions before they are asked like when the president fields questions. That way they already have good answers to them.

Wow that reporters left ear is HUGE !!!!!

anyways....

Good video, even though its a taped version of a taped tv show.

It looks like what ever it is, its just junk in space. One of the objects just fly buy the others, and it seems they are traveling at diffrent speeds. I think that they probably see this stuff all the time, but wanted to get some media attention hence the breaking news ploy.
