Johann Pachelbel 1653 - 1706

Johann Pachelbel was born in 1653 in Nuremberg into a middle-class family, son of Johann (Hans) Pachelbel (born 1613 in Wunsiedel, Germany), a wine dealer, and his second wife Anna (Anne) Maria Mair. The exact date of Johann's birth is unknown, but he was baptized on 1 September.

Pachelbel died at the age of 52, in early March 1706

Canon in D or Pachelbel's Canon is one of my favorite classical pieces, In times of stress or hardships it's one of my go to Classics.

This Magical Piece of Classical Music has been used openly, and is sometimes hidden in many modern songs.

Canon makes any song sound Beautiful

And then there is Canon Rock - BOOM!

Thanks Johann Pachelbel your Music Lives On

My go to piece, when teaching myself a new instrument.

I am a master of none of them. I just like the challenge. When I can play an instrument well enough that the listener, can recognize the music I am playing, I usually move on to another.

I will never be asked to play for any venue, but I love learning new instruments.

Canon in D or Pachelbel's Canon is a very pleasing piece to learn, regardless of the instrument.

This is what I had to say about the Pachelbel Canon on another forum:

After all these years, still my most loved tune. But, beware, for there is deep melancholy beneath the sweet surface. If you listen to it deeply, it can rip your heart out...

This video expresses someone else's opinion:

Beautiful - Thanks for Sharing.

I almost got married 22 years ago, our chosen song was "Just the Way you are".

Anyway back to Pachelbel's Canon here's the Lazarus Short Video.

And another Canon Rock by a Very Excitable Girl. Reminds me of the Move Line - "I'll have what she's having"
