Most favoured nation gets a free pass.

Human rights.
Pollution.
Virus escape.
and now dodgy, potentially dangerous space litter.

All things than anyone else would get in hot water for.
Scratching my head with no answers to offer.

Nevada or Utah? The Great Salt Lake?

Zactly. Land instead of crash, I missed that one.

I suppose, strictly speaking, a crash landing is still a landing.

Strange choice of words, though.
Softening the blow?

Technically, it is going to achieve absolute minimum geosynchronous orbit permanently. It is an old science fiction term for stuck on or in the ground and not repairable.

Should be front page world news.

Barely a blurb for over a week that jt has been known.

The circus never ends.

🤡

Yes, since it is REAL news the MSM isn't very interested.

Mainly because we know who is responsible and they can't twist the story to blame someone else.
If that was possible they would've filled the news with doom and gloom.

I'm starting to wonder if we are actually living in a simulated reality.
Junk falling from space.
Possible discovery of fungus on Mars.
Virus pandemic worldwide.
Zombies on the streets protesting everything and anything.

Mix that lot up and it's almost a 70s sci-fi movie.
Or someone really messed up the programming of the AI running our current matrix life.

That's a very lucid description of the state of the world, it really is like a dystopian 70's sci-fi. Add vampires from space like on "Lifeforce" the movie and it would be a Steven King masterpiece.

At this point I am actually not too far away from believing that vampires from space may actually show up.

What would that be I wonder, maybe a very very large lake somewhere?

Or some place devoid of people I guess , kind of like when Skylab came down in 79.

How much "hot water" did the US get into when the much larger Skylab dropped out of the sky ?

I find really hard to believe all this mystery about where it will crash. Again, they used the term "land". Probably they know with a reasonable margin of error where it'll crash. They won't say it to prevent a big group of people going there.

I find really hard to believe all this mystery about where it will crash.

From my understanding they won't be able to narrow down the likely crash site until a few hours before the event as the decaying orbit is full of variables , expectation is it will come down some time tomorrow somewhere in the expected corridor.
It should be a decent display , looking forward to the video.

Not much but I'm sure they had some critics. They didn't seem to have a "couldn't care less" attitude about it.

Meanwhile, China still gets a free pass on a list of unpleasant behaviours

Not in the habit of defending China but when control is lost what goes up must come down , it's hard to condemn them for their aspirations when we have done the same thing with a bigger chunk of junk.

Seems to me the world is finally waking up to China's activities and confronting them over their actions.

Don't you find strange that the last photo of it was taken about 2 days ago. Nobody else with a telescope can spot it ?
