I think what Trump did here is completely level headed.
That's the problem. It wasn't level headed.

He took advice and counsel from across the government prior to acting decisively.

No he didn't. He doesn't listen, he does what he wants. Recklessly.

You seem to have inside knowledge....do you have situation room access?

Or are you just making up nonsense?

Its ok to have an opinion. But to argue that its fact absence of anything to support it being fact is ridiculous.

The "level headed" thing is an example of being ridiculous. You are describing cowardice. Level headed means not making rash decisions.

Pompeo stated today the airstrike was the result of efforts from across the entire government. Unless you have other information.....

Trump is level headed when he says he wants out of the middle east and level headed when he wants to strike 52 targets in Iran. Sounds more bipolar to me.

Didn't Iran say that they had 30 + American targets first?

Ditto

Pompeo stated today the airstrike was the result of efforts from across the entire government.

He also said yesterday there was a deescalation. Continued airstrikes are not a deescalation.

Level headed means not making rash decisions.

Exactly. Which is why it was not level headed.

Its not debatable. He was not in Iraq legally....and participated personally in a terror attack.

You can debate it. But have nothing to support your position.

i didnt know that, so why is iran mad

Your link is about the killing of Soleimani. That was over the attack on a US embassy.

Yes. And then we upped the ante, to 52 Iranian targets in our list.

I know why President Trump chose 52, but it would have been more patriotic to pick 57 targets. One for each U.S. State.

Maybe the number will be revised upward, after Iran matches our 52 targets.

I still don't quite comprehend what gives American military the right to execute a decorated officer of high rank on foreign soil without UN support.

Self defense.

So he was executed while actively threatening citizens with a deadly weapon?

Does this look like a threat? This is what he did to the U.S. embassy in iraq.
www.usatoday.com...

Are you trying to suggest that since the damage was already done that we had no right to strike back?

wow

So this is now Jimmy Carter's fault?

Among others, yes. Carter sheltered Mohammad Reza Shah. Do you deny that?

The Iranians stated they took our embassy in retaliation for the sheltering of Mohammad Reza Shah. Do you deny that?

We have been at odds with Iran ever since. Do you deny that?

You might try reading actual books sometime.

So it's more quid pro quo. Don is holding the strikes back til Iran offers more target practice.

I'm sure someone recently posted that Trump was different than other Presidents because they others were all-in at every opportunity for war.

Now, he looks just like a standard American President.

Much so like any leaders.

Scomo included but,

This is a strong leader????

Sh'e launching rockets at people because they hurt a citizen?

No, she's very meek. Wouldn't hurt anyone if a rocket hit retard island and hurt a citizen. Probably would apologize and hug the aggressor.

Kind regards,

Bally

Like she did with the Christchurch gunman and then actually implemented some law to prevent it happening again?

Would Trump have the courage to something like that, even if the death toll was 10 times what it was here? Oh wait, it is. And what has Trump done to prevent any of the frequent mass shootings?

I didn't mention the POTUS did I.

On retard island the national dress for the PM and her constituents will resemble something like this.

Stay safe mate

Kind regards,

Bally

Ohh, fashion models in space suits!

52 sites to bomb for 52 hostages. Seems symbolic in nature.

That's what the quote from the President said. 1 for each of the hostages.

It seemed symbolic in nature even though the President already said that it was?

52 cards in the deck

Gematria

In Hebrew, the numerical value of the word Elohim is 52 by using the gematria in "n": 1+12+5+10+24=52.

What, exactly, would you have him do, that is permitted under the constitution, and does not infringe on a basic right that is insured by its second amendment?

If you would like to change that document, there is a recognized legal process that is not in any way the prerogative of the president.

Good luck with that.

Of course, he can do nothing. It is obvious. Wouldn't want to end up like a Kennedy or Lincoln.

"Level headed is just a subjective term here."

No it isn't. It involved peoples' lives.

Do you know what "subjective" means?

Serious question.

I just assumed it was the normal modus for an "air strike".

It used to be; we use drones now.

So how was she supposed to launch an air strike without rockets?

TheRedneck

And the drones, they "whoosh" their targets to death?

I am aware they can be armed with guns, too. I'm just a traditionalist.

If you think it can't happen again just because a new law was put in place there, you're delusional. Criminals don't follow laws. And you can't compare the US with NZ or any EU country as is so commonly done, because we have 330 million people in an area of over 3.5 million square miles compared to your 4.8 million people in 208 thousand square miles. Believe it or not, there is a massive difference.

So, your government cannot organize significantly superior resources to defend the public good? That argument assumes your leadership cannot use efficiencies of scale, properly.
