What is likely going to happen instead, is, that Jong-Un will make good on his word to launch a missile, but he never said it would even be armed, and will likely have it instead drop in the ocean unarmed just to show it can be done.

Training for the mission has been ongoing, and there have been 11 practice runs for a similar mission since May when the training was accelerated.

China will prevent the US and South Korea from carrying out strikes on North Korea and trying to overthrow the leadership there, but will remain neutral if Pyongyang launches missiles at American targets first, the state-run Global Times said.

Beijing should make it clear that “if North Korea launches missiles that threaten US soil first and the US retaliates, China will stay neutral,” the Global Times wrote. But if the US and its ally South Korea take on Pyongyang and try to “overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so,” the paper stressed.

In other words, if NK shoots over Guam (or close enough, what is close enough), and US retaliates proportionally, China is OK with that. I understand it as a green light for a limited retaliation (not nuclear and not regime changing). While China reserves its move to stop USA from going too far.

That also means the diplomacy is dead, if the Chinese mouthpiece speaks of who will shoot first. Seems the war is already decided to happen, but a limited war, hopefully.

I find myself surrounded by morons and mental patients on the regular. "Oh, what about FREE-DUMB? What about Communism? What about Socialism?" Listen -- leaders want to lead; mostly for the fringe benefits.

Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left side, write down the things leaders get/get to do. On the right, write down things followers/regular people get/get to do. The leaders of the U.S. China, Korea, Russia etc want to be "in charge." They want to make the rules and not necessarily follow them (it's in the interest of "national security" -- trust us!) They want to be served by others. They want long cars and private courses and tighter controls over the media/press. They want to make the decisions that ensure their resources are multiplied and perpetual.

Communism and Democracy are words used by leaders to rile their populations up and forge them into a weapon that can be used against opposition at home or abroad. They have zero relevance to leaders because leaders all want the same elite stuff for themselves. Anytime you see a war brewin' remember the long con. This is 100% about leaders exerting themselves against one another to consolidate their power at home. Nuclear war? Gimmie a break. There's no money in that. Plus, you know, no one to lord over or lead or feel superior to afterward.
