Can you imagine being an "artistic terrorist consultant" for the media machine?

"Okay, no, no, NO! They have to be wearing scarves around their faces! Stop! Those AK-47's aren't dirty enough, Ackmed -- rub some dirt on your arms...there! Okay, now on three we're going to wave the guns above our heads and and shout some nonsense..."

Has anyone ever seen the movie "Wag the Dog"?

While I am no afraid of ISIS coming to the US, (I think that the billions of dollars put up for spying by the big NSA and the CIA will take care of that or they are nothing but joke), but what worry me is the copy cat stupid derailed bastards that will commit despicable acts in the name of ISIS that have nothing to do with the terrorist group but in the sick mind they do.

So, Fox News would like you all to be very afraid of ISIS attacking you and your family on American soil.

Raw Story

After 45 minutes of talking to Fox News contributors about the fight against ISIS — and how President Barack Obama was bungling the effort — Pirro brought on former Navy SEAL Larry Yatch for advice on how Americans could “protect themselves against terrorist attacks on our own soil.”

This is not only amazing for the fact that it's utter nonsense, but also that Fox is actually ADVOCATING bug out bags and conspiracy minded preparation.

Isn't that nifty?

And the viewers?

“I know my family takes the threat of ISIS seriously, we are locked and loaded,” a viewer name Angie wrote.

“Our shores and borders have already been penetrated,” Ray wrote in. “Every one of us has to be vigilant in our neighborhood, and on our jobs.”

“If the Obama administration won’t do it, we Americans must band together to protect ourselves from the terrorism here on our soil,” Ann told Pirro.

“I am locked and loaded, let them in if they can get past my guns,” a viewer named Wendy said.

Felicia said she was preparing with a three month supply of food storage, 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and she was living “as normally as I can.”

Good lord.

That last one is just...priceless.

I agree. Though I think Fox isn't the only one spreading fear.

I think all the networks and our government is doing a bang-up job of making ISIS out to be some new "booger-man" that we all need to fear and loathe. (yes, I made a pun)

It helps them (government) to justify the bombings, and (possible) future freedoms that they'll take away from us.

Radical islamo fascists have been coming here for decades.

People should be afraid.

That ideology is what brought down the towers.

That ideology is what hit the pentagon.

And numerous examples exist for ALL to see.

factreal.wordpress.com...

But hey why let facts get in the way here.

This nation has had a target on it's back LONG before the last two administrations, and long before Fox news was ever created.

Muslim extremism doesn't scare me. Even IF a terrorist attack happens on US soil I wouldn't be scared. Chances are I wouldn't be effected by it anyways. Heck, even if another 9/11 happened, chances are I'd be fine. If an attack happens, it happens. If you happen to be in the area when the attack happens, you react then. There is no way to prepare for the attack and you just have to do your best as the situation develops (provided you aren't incapacitated or dead). ISIS doesn't scare me. I'm tired of fearing whatever bogeyman of the day who happens to live clear across the world the talking heads are yelling about.

I thought more people die of bee stings each year than in terrorist attacks anyway?

Pretty soon there will be WWII-style propaganda posters indoctrinating us that there is an Islamo-terrorist behind every corner, and our patriotic duty is to turn anyone suspicious in...for the safety of the Homeland!

One could argue that the Imperialist Military Ideology carried on by Western and European interests over the last 50 years are what caused those events.

You know the old saying about cause and effect?

Who benefits ?

Foreign:

Iran, and Saudi Arabia the home of radical Islam.

Domestic:

The left gets to cast the right as 'war mongers' even though they wage just as a bloody campagin.

Politicians because they get to offer more 'solutions' to 'problems' that they created.

Funny those shills on capitol hill seem more interested in fighting each other.

That protecting this country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

We will see more coming down the road.

Like the FISA act of the 70s that was created long before the Patriot Act.

Like the Omnibus Counter Terrorism Act of the Clinton era which basically expanded an ALREADY preexisting LAW.

Then it was the NDAA and 'indefinite' detentions.

All the way the TSA and its groping.

Airlines, and 'toothpaste' and 'mouthwash' was a 'threat' to passenger safety.

Who wins ?

Both Right, and Left, and those right wing neocons over in the middle east that are 'nation building' clinging to their guns, and 'religion'.

The little people like us ?

Are the biggest losers.

Not really there Tenth.

Since what is going on in the ME has been going on long before this country was ever created.

Imperialist military ideology ?

Of radical Islamic fascists.

Who has exported that snip to everyone else because they can't, or just don't want to come out of the dark ages.

It isn't the death toll from a terrorist attack that should worry anyone, it is the potential for a well orchestrated (possible but not likely) large scale attack that could potentially deliver a devastating blow ultimately to the economy. It could be the push that drives a fragile and recovering economy off the cliff.

If they can pull that off it would likely have an impact on the lives of every American.

imo

THAT I do not argue with, but much like Christianity was relatively extremist, not so long ago, I think Islam will follow that trend as well and be much more moderate in 20 to 50 years than we generally expect.

Doesn't excuse anything happening today though, nor am I defending Islam, just another ideology born out of violence and greed.

That's true, but European interests were the meddlers in that time and since America was founded with those European mindsets, at least socially, I think there's a lot of history we mull over when discussing why we are where we are today.

Feel free.

But it has NOT been 'Chiristians' going around slaughtering people in the ME in 2014.

Or cutting children in half.

Or cutting the heads off of the 'non believers'.

Or attacked this country on those previously mentioned events.

Edit

It has been over 2000 years of same crap different day, different century with Islam.

I don't know about that short time tothetenthpower, the dark ages of Christianity lasted between 800 to a thousand years. I expect that radicalism will die down but truly never to away completely.
