It's first thing in the morning for me, so I'd better stick to coffee. Anything as long as it's not decaffeinated.
The week away was good. I visited Corfe Castle, then walked half the length of Dorset to get back to where I was staying.
Also visited the vast expanse of Maiden Castle (Iron Age embankments and ditches, almost empty of human life at that stage of the season).
Saw the naked man at Cerne Abbas, a chalk outline on the hillside which might be prehistoric or might be a caricature of Oliver Cromwell.
Not forgetting the visit to Lyme Regis, where Marianne Dashwood sprained her ankle in "Sense and Sensibility".
A very relaxing time.

Gotcha, I understand, it's hard to do what you're doing for a friends that's been more than just a friend in your life, some people just don't understand the bond of Brothers of Combat and Death of the Good Times and The Bad.
It's very hard to put your friend to rest and to carry on, I know, Really I do.

But we've done it know, how man times Expat? Our day will come to.
You have the double duty of telling his little girl, That's the Hardest of All Things To do.
But I know you'll do it and she'll be proud of her Dad and she'll know you Loved him too.

I told my wife to just put me in a trash bag and set me out on trash Day, No Tears, No Mess, No Crowds!

I'll have another with you and I'm wonder off to bed, it's 02:40 AM here and YES. mr. g had just finished up again explaining to this Fool the Errors of his ways.
She asked how old they were, because any one with a lick of Dog Sense Knows China is Not a Play Ground you go and Just Walk and Take Picture where ever you want and live to talk about or live but never ever return to China.

Some people are just Born Stupid Out Of Season!

Good night my Friend and we'll keep Charles in our thoughts.

Good morning anyone here? I'll just pour myself some java and read the daily news.

Just so you know Charles sometimes it's not bad to be with friends when things are dark. I get that sometimes it's not really the answer either but we're here if you just want to hang out. U2U also if you don't wish to post sensitive topics here. Or just quietly sit in the back and drink.

So nobody likes my new avatar, now that's depressing...

Burger King, I don't eat there either, haven't for years and years. The idea makes me a little nauseous. As far as the inversion they are doing with Canada that's simply what they believe is right by the share holders.

While politicians and socialists scream "tax evasion and unpatriotic" the fact is inversions are just a symptom of a sick and repressive tax code. If the politicians would just fix the real problem (tax code) there wouldn't be this problem in the first place and we'd all be better off. But we all know that will never happen.

I'm definitely needing more coffee.

Afternoon.

So, I was listening to talk radio this morning on my drive in, and Knapp was talking about this Dennis Prager piece on Rotherham. Anyhow, he links it to multi-culturalism, tolerance and diversity and obliquely to moral equivalence.

It is a testament to the lack of self-awareness on the left that it experiences no cognitive dissonance. The New York Times and other left-wing media have thoroughly reported this story and the fact that political correctness is to blame for what was done to these girls. Yet they are oblivious to the fact that they are the very ones who created the moral monsters known as political correctness, multiculturalism, and “diversity” — the doctrines that forbid judging non-whites, Muslims, and others by the same moral standards by which whites and Christians are judged.

He couches it all in terms of what went on and, I have no doubt, is still going on in England, but I have to wonder how far we have to look to find similar issues here?

How many problems are we creating for ourselves because the judgments and criticisms we allow to be leveled in society are often proscribed by one's race, class, gender, orientation, etc.? And when and how will the madness end, and if it doesn't where will it lead? My mind gets quite graphic with itself when I'm busy proofing. Do it long enough and you only need about half a brain.

Anyhow, while I suck down a whiskey shot or two and look for some brain bleach because these dark places I can see it all going need to be purged so I can enjoy my family, I want to know if any of you see the same problems or if I'm just really prone to doom scenarios?

I'm sure a lot of people see the problem in directing society via political correctness. Not as many on the progressive side though I'd bet. The US is getting bad as far as PC goes but from what I read it's a long way from the craziness we're seeing in the UK.The English elites appear to have raised PC to an art form and it's really bad art.

Pretty sure that Rotherham fiasco is just the tip of the iceberg and I'd lay money that all this child abuse goes right up to Westminster. The politicians in England seem to have raised the bar on evil so high even the US will have a hard time catching up. And that's really saying something all things considered.

*ghosts in grabs usual seat in corner .. * ..

@ guohua .. typical kids think theyre ten feet tall and bullet proof .. though must admit dont recall encountering many with the level of stupid displayed to seriously consider poking around a chinese military facility .. definite darwin candidate with thinking like that ..

@ ketsuko .. pc totally destroying western civilization .. one of the worst forms of oppression and destroying the human spirit yet .. whoever came up with that was / is an embodiment of evil ..

@ Bassago .. read posts more than look at avatars .. get enough headaches trying to remember english .. some of the more outrageous avatars add to the headache .. so usually just read posts ...

Actually, I think this kid thought he was much more important than he really was.
Did you read his last post?
His claims his photograph's are in several Chinese embassies, they show his pictures in galleries, so Chinese people can find out about their beautiful country or something like that.
OH, Yes, he keeps in contact with these many Chinese Embassies to show his Photograph's.

He's still Young and Dumb!

He was a little Peeved that we talked him out of getting himself and his girl friend killed or throw in Prison.

He tried to tell me that China does not have a Shoot On Site Order,,,,,Oh, What a Stupid Boy!

Damn everyone is awfully quite tonight
I suppose everyone had a hard day.
I did to, but, I can't sleep, My wife is curled up and Happily Sleeping, But here I am setting at the bar, nursing a Whisky Sour.

Much like our friend Expat said earlier, I also believe he and my wife, saved the fellow and his girl friend from a very harsh ending, either death for him and rape and death for her or prison for both,

I know that area he was talking about, it's not all that friendly really to outsiders and there really is a Very Large Military Presence there and their not in the open.
I know of at lest one, Secret site that's really not to secret because google has a picture of it, but there are under ground tunnels and buildings and training there.

There are also Indian forces running around in that area that do not want to be seen let along have their picture taken!!!

So, how is Charles? I heard the radio interview went well today.

Sorry i'm rambling.

No news. He is fine except he is having trouble swallowing, so they are doing tests to try find out why that is. I am going to assume that the low blood oxygen and phlegm are related and possibly a respiratory issue like a bronchitis since no one has said pneumonia.

You know how it is when you are on the "kid" level, information gets thin, and dad's side of the family was never the most communicative anyhow.

I'm going to have to check out for a couple of days for family stuff.

Keep an eye out for Charles, and don't let the world burn while I'm gone, please!
