You've made Hernando's into a warm and welcoming place

Charles, That should say we, to include you.
Hernando's Hideaway was your place you opened for everyone to enjoy, you made the initial down payment and turned on the lights.
Thank You My friend, I Feel So Honored To Be Among Such Talented and Good People.
Yes, we drink, smoke, dance, gamble, read books and talk and relax and even Curse once in a great while, put, we all are Friends Here!
Thank you every One!

Tonight's choice:

A well-deserved glass of Guinness, though I shouldn't be indulging in such libations, and a Romeo and Juliet.

Would be better if the dark beer was warm....but who am I to complain?

Still trying to figure out that poem.

Is it a lament the isolation of humanity? The darkness felt by a single soul while surrounded by the uncaring masses?

OK I'll see that poem and raise you a Haiku.

"Once thought I was alive.
What truly is the meaning of life,
is there any real meaning ?"

Nobody laugh please, it's my first attempt at a Haiku.

Ha! Let's just say I won't be getting paid as much as a burger flipper if they unionize and get their $15.

It's maybe why I get so chaffed at the notion they think they should get that much to flip burgers. I know I do a better job than autocorrects which is why I know I'm not in any danger of being automated out of a job anytime soon, but somehow, they think flipping burgers deserves more?

I should stop ranting.

I am not in any way against someone making a living, but I do think we should start teaching the concept of basic economics again.

There! Three happy songs to get my mood back on track.

Wow! That's bleak.

Maybe I should go back to my happy songs. This is a heavy night.

Life is just the door,
What's beyond is only more
of the same unknown.

Somehow, charles' poem made me feel mortality. Life stretching thin, but not so think you're ready to step beyond yet.

I Know, Huh, it takes some Great Shill to Flip a Burger!

Burger joint Jobs are for High School Kids to get the feel of the real world, Not a Job to Buy a House and raise a Family On!
It should be pocket money for the movies and taking out a date.
Not buying a new car or a twenty year career.

You want that job, be a Manager or own the place.

Maybe but for me I've been ready to step beyond for as long as I've known this world was toxic. This existence seems half cyanide and half cool clean air. In that situation people still choke to death which is what a great percentage of humanity seems to be doing.

On a lighter note... ah.. can't think of anything.

Bartender! Please help me!

You're right, it is a dark poem. But as I said, it was shouting to be born, I had to get it off my chest and into the world on it's own. There are only two places I'd feel safe posting it. I'll start working on something cheerful for tomorrow.

Ummmm, bartender? I'm still standing up, something's wrong. Would you take care of that, please? If you can't do it with one drink, I suppose I'll have to drink two.

See this is why I miss the Orient so much. The women are level headed and practical.

Never read any of Mao's poetry, Chang didn't allow it on the island as far as I saw. Think I like Chang better than Mao but I never got to the mainland then so I can't really compare.

我會喝的多,讀詩
