Breaking: First Charges Filed in Mueller Investigation

I was thinking... It is entirely possible the leak about indictments might have been a strategic leak by Mueller to see if anyone involved in this mess all of a sudden decides to take an extended vacation to a country with no extradition treaties with the US.

It is standard procedure in organized crime investigations, which this is. The idea is to tempt the higher ups to flee before the arrested foot soldiers and lieutenants cut deals to incriminate them in exchange for lesser sentences. Mueller is an experienced organized crime prosecutor. Remember, Trump the casino owner has ties to organized crime. Get the popcorn going.

That's not much of a strategy. More like an act of desperation on Mueller's part, a prosecutorial "Hail Mary pass."
As it is, I'm expecting Paul Manafort will be charged with something financial-related. Mueller needs an easy win so he can claim victory and wrap this up.

Charges not yet known. Indictment will be unsealed after 9am. He is now surrendering to FBI.
Locking him up!

I'm expecting the Pardon Pen to come out sooner or later.

Mueller is expecting the same, which is why he has been sharing prosecutorial information with the State AGs, no Residential pardons for state charges.

So this is looking more like these charges are related to shady business dealings that happened well before Manafort was involved with Trump.

In other words, it's a bust.

Can't wait to see how they try to spin this into being about Trump.

What the hell is "Conspiracy against the United States"? Is that even a real charge? It honestly sounds like something a politician would make up as an attack on his opponent.

It's a real crime. It basically just means whatever the other charges are against you (in this case a bunch of financial fraud), you planned it ahead of time. It doesn't mean what most of the collusion myth believers think it means.

So they are going to indict and THEN charge them some more? That would mean they have nothing. RICO...hahahaha. This was all about finding some charge to put against someone who was a member (for three months remember) of Trumps team so they can try to show a global conspiracy. You know, like the one HRC and the rest say does not exist on the other side but does. All this time and this is ALL they have?

Names to remember ... Manafort, Gates, Papadopoulos ... absolute proof of the collusion between the Trump Campaign and agents of the Russian Government. No doubt at this point remains. No “oh, but Trump Jr. didn’t actually get any “dirt” on Clinton ... well, there’s no doubt at this point. The evidence is preponderous.

Those who have denied this fact for months now need to reorient toward the truth ... because more is coming.

Key word "your opinion." The fact is the uranium one deal was a straight up bribe and then cover up by the Obama admin. After Mueller finishes this investigation the Obamas and Clinton's should be next.
