FBI has to prove intent. That is extremely hard. FBI never indicted Hillary because they could not prove intent.
...Ukrainian Armed Forces lost between 15% and 20% of their pre-war D–30 inventory in combat operations.

Kiev (AFP) - Ukraine's military on Friday denied reports claiming Russia may have hacked targeting software for its heavy artillery in a breach that could have helped Moscow track and destroy Kiev's big guns.
...
CrowdStrike said the malware was installed on software used to aim Ukraine's D-30 howitzer guns that were the backbone of the government's forces fighting Russian-backed insurgents for 31 months.
...
- 'High-loss nature' -
Ukraine's defence ministry blasted the report's claims and rejected any allegations that a hack led to a majority of its howitzers being destroyed during the conflict.

WASHINGTON —
U.S. cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has revised and retracted statements it used to buttress claims of Russian hacking during last year's American presidential election campaign. The shift followed a VOA report that the company misrepresented data published by an influential British think tank.
In December, CrowdStrike said it found evidence that Russians hacked into a Ukrainian artillery app, contributing to heavy losses of howitzers in Ukraine's war with pro-Russian separatists.
VOA reported Tuesday that the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), which publishes an annual reference estimating the strength of world armed forces, disavowed the CrowdStrike report and said it had never been contacted by the company.
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense also has stated that the combat losses and hacking never happened.

And the full scale internet troll brigade and the untrue bizzare stories spread through social media.
And your correct there wasn't anything damaging in the emails but there were so many and the flood coming over and over again people who never read even one simply assumed since everyone was talking about it there must be something there.
The Russians advanced a multi phase attack on our democracy.

This Russian thing will be the death of the DNC, if they find any connections to Trump or that Russia hacked the election.... No one is going to believe their fabricated fake news and silly Russian lies .... If it happens, R.I.P. DNC, 2020 election will bury you.
After a humiliating rout in an election that pundits widely believed would fall their way, the Democrats are pushing the reset button on their entire organization. And the first thing they’re doing is asking everyone for their resignation letters. NBC News is reporting that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a campaign to completely remake the much maligned organization that failed to get its nominee into the White House, and presided over what many consider a disastrous decade of losses at every level of politics.

It's likely that Russia has in the past, hacked us.
So to pretend that it's some horrible act that warrants aggression is stupid.
Fact:
The information in question here is the Podesta e-mails revealing the corruption of the DNC.
Fact:
If this corruption was to remain hidden, the American people would have voted for a president based on a corrupt system, so the reveal of this information was in fact the only truthful way to excersize our right to vote in a fair and honest election.
If Trump colluded with Russia, arrest him. If he didn't, let it go. If Flynn broke the law, arrest him, if not, let it go.
The underlying theme here is that the IC has all the evidence it has collected from various sources. If any of it ties to people breaking the law, then arrest them, if not, move the # on.
In case other haven't noticed, we still have a country to run, Americans to protect, jobs to create, and a deficit to reduce.

BTW, here is another source confirming "Crowdstrike" made up the report claiming the Russians hacked the Ukrainian artillery app.
www.voanews.com...
I wonder "what other story" Crodwstrike made up?...

D-30 is a 1960s artillery piece. It is manually aimed. It does not use software for fire control. How stupid can CrowdStrike be to even suggest this?

Not to mention the fact that "Crowdstrike", the source for the claims being made by the NSA, the CIA and FBI, have lied in the past.
