If Russia is so powerful that it can install a puppet ruler in the most powerful nation on the planet, then why can't beat rebels in Syria? It makes 0 sense. Either Russia is very powerful or Russia is very weak. Take your pick.

You are conflating Military force with Cyber-Propaganda-Interference Campaigns..

You are aware that Russia has been busted doing the same all across Europe in recent years?

The US was just caught off guard, we thought they would never try it with us.

But Putin's hatred of Hillary combined with his furry regarding US Sanctions made him think less of the risk involved.

GOP in Congress...virtually across the board now...are not disputing that Russia interfered.

You can debate the effect and we will never really know anyways...It's a mute point.

Defending against future attacks is NOT a mute point..and to do that we need to know what happened.

If that leads to Trump or his campaign Team having worked in unison with Russia..That needs to be handled as well.

Neither can be tolerated and both need to be defended against in future elections.

the thing is though weve all known russia interferes in politics for decades. its nothing new but for some reason the left is crying up a storm over it this time around cause it affected them even thought he real issue isnt russia, its their own actions that were exposed. we interfere in everyone elses affairs more then any other country on earth so we should have the knowledge to protect against the attacks we ourselves make. maybe point the blame at the party that was in power who left us vulnerable to such attacks. on top of all that we dont even know if the podesta emails were the result of russian hacking. according to wikileaks who havent been proven wrong their info came from within our very own govt. everyone wants to ignore that though and claim wikileaks is fake, while at the same time claiming the damages caused are very real.

i love how in the article it states quite clearly that he had met with the ambassador prior to being part of trumps team yet they try to equate it to trump having russian ties. how could the trump team have known themselves if flynn lied about the meeting? look at the actions taken though when they did, fired and gone! u cant ask for a much better response then that. also it doesnt say testify in the article, it says "interviewed". which pretty much explains why knowone is taking him up on that offer.meanwhile podesta is sitting pretty on his $35 million in russia assets and money.

Yeah really, let's just gloss over all of this nasty Russian business. Clearly they've moved on too, since they're busy trying to influence France's election now. While they put the next butt puppet in place, I guess the orange one & his minions can get busy cooking up tax breaks for the rich, environmental gang rape, & a couple of wars to boot. Hurray for Murica!

Snicker snicker,,,Poor Trump supporters, this aint going away anytime soon.
You see not only are your heroes corrupt but dumb as doorknobs as well.

I told you last year he was in hock to Putin & now it's all coming to light because they were too arrogant & stupid to cover their corruption.

Clinton Watts, senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute called it right when he said that Trump is concerned with Trump first, Russia second & America third.

If you want to see an impressive piece of work, take a look at this Google Doc.

That has to be hands-down the single most comprehensive review of everything to date. And I'm sorry, but even if you somehow can convince yourself that 80% of it is somehow "fake" -- there's so much there that even 20% is damning.

This isn't going away.

There isn't a "smoking gun" because there's so much damn smoke you can't freaking see any guns. The alternate reality people are choosing to live in is simply astounding. The "bla bla bla" fingers-in-ears mentality is surreal.

I almost think that people are behaving like this not necessarily because they really don't think anything improper happened -- but they'd rather just be trollish and piss off people by sticking their heads in the sand.

How sad, juvenile, immature and downright un-American.

Don't ask for links if you don't want to consider them ...

I showed you that Comey - and the FBI - relied on crowdstrike, as you asked.

What I find the most stunning with that article, is that when the DNC tells the FBI to GTFO, the FBI executes the DNC orders ...

FYI :
A scramble at Cisco exposes uncomfortable truths about U.S. cyber defense

Across the federal government, about 90 percent of all spending on cyber programs is dedicated to offensive efforts, including penetrating the computer systems of adversaries, listening to communications and developing the means to disable or degrade infrastructure, senior intelligence officials told Reuters.

Yes, fantastic strategy. Make lots of unproven accusations, offer nothing to back up anything, drag it out for months and months, then never deliver on anything. You folks on the left sure have this whole thing figured out.

But I suppose it's health for the country to keep dredging up the same lies and stories rather than focusing on reality.

If anyone is guilty, arrest them, otherwise, GTFO.

Yeah Russia's our besty WTF. Leave Russia alone. They have to live where it's cold and snows a lot.

Jesus H. Christ...

They are not our friends. There is nothing acceptable in this and it sure as hell isn't a situation we say "Oh well" about. We don't sit back and say "well they do this to everyone no biggy"
It's an act of war.
Change the candidates in your scenario .
Not trump not Hillary.
Just A and B. And they used a campaign of derogatory videos and memes constantly. Filled online news sites and social media with fictitious incriminating or damaging articles and then release a flood of personal information so great in volume no one could read all of them and certainly couldn't address all of it and constantly claim the info in them indicates criminal behavior.
If the Russians had done this to trump you would have been up in arms. Trumps campaign slogan was
"the election is rigged." Imagine if it had been done to him instead...think about it.

But it really doesn't matter which candidate they did this to.
It doesn't matter at all. It matters greatly that they did this.
Don't lose sight of the bigger picture. Next time it could be a republican. Putin isn't a closet republican working for your parties candidate. And they probably aren't trump fans either.
Their only motive was to destroy the process. They did that.

Now if trump assisted them or just agreed to certain actions in payment for such "favors" then he needs to go too because he's compromised and working against American interests.

Saying the Democrats lost because of "Russian hackers" is basically admitting that they could only win if their fraud and corruption wasn't exposed.

It's funny how some keep on pushing the lie that Russia hacked the election, and that Trump supposedly has ties to Russia (which have been debunked time and time again), but no one is asking why Hillary sold Putin a good amount of uranium. It's painfully obvious here, that the only ones who have any real ties to Russia is the Democrats.
