Local media is reporting on it finally. They say it was candles/luminaries from a wedding. Which isn't completely implausible as there's a few popular wedding venues in that area.

The guy was on a morning radio show today saying no, not candles, definitely aliens.

Just an update.

Hi Shamrock6,
Did the media say how they had come to that conclusion? Had they spoke to the people who's wedding it was, or do you think they were just guessing. It would be interesting indeed if the wedding people/planner had come forward and admitted it was due to them.

It's a best guess, apparently it is a very common request now for weddings.

Bretten Smith Is the one quoted, he owns a company that designs and builds drones. He seems to think the objects also act as balloons.

No I just caught the interview teaser, the deejay was saying that it was reported to have been lights from a wedding party and they had the guy that shot the video on the phone and he was "ready to debunk the debunkers once and for all."

As Ray said, it appears he's all-in on the alien gravy train.

Yep, I definitely know the sort. But you know, something is bugging me about this video since I started to research a bit about it. Mark said that George Knapp had sent him the link, and I've searched a lot of websites that have done an article on it, but you know who hasn't touched it with a bargepole? C2C.

Now I find that odd, seeing George's connection with them, and all the paranormal, supernatural stuff they have in their article pages, but no, not a mention.

I don't know why that's bugging me so much, but it is.

ETA: Ignore this post. I've just gone back onto C2C and it is there, but wasn't posted until the 23rd.

Has anyone tried to decode those lights as a code sort of like morse or binnary..

Sigh!! After reading a few posts up seems it might be just some lights from synchronised drones..

Just thought I'd pop this on here as I found it whilst looking up something else.

This story is about lights let off for a church event, but I can't find a date on the article, and it also says it occurred on the Friday. Not being a local, or even in the same country, is Ballantyne the name of the area this occurred in?

There is a titchy, tiny picture in the article with the objects they sent up.

Ballantyne is an area in Charlotte, but it is South of Le Meridian and the camera was facing west.

The LED balloons are supposedly a very common request in the area for weddings now and have created quite a few UFO reports. Since it became popular there have been thousands of similar UFO reporting.

Ah, right. That clears that one up then. Thanks again ray.

And I agree, there are certainly lots of balloon specialists in that area and there was a lot going on that day apparently.

Events in Charlotte

That's page 2 of a day full of events. Well, the evening ones.

People on here have a fixation with triangles 3 dots of light in the night sky can only make 2 shapes a straight line or a triangle of some type.

Ufo used to be discs and everyone saw discs, then someone sees an orb and everyone else starts to see orbs, then it's triangles what will be next hexagons.

Very cool. I can say for sure.......not autobots.
It looks like a very large craft rather than several though. Question is...ours, or theirs?

I don't have a fixation on anything. In fact I think all the triangle ones are ours. But I do believe. A lot of people are seeing things that are unexplained, especially in the last decade or two. Who knows!? We don't! Maybe we're not worthy of the knowledge! Whatever the case may be, I like this video. It's a good one if real, and would be something I'd share for sure if I had witnessed it!

Yes it's easy to say random un-sourced speculative comments. Now watch the video link in my post and see that the balloons are not acting like the lights shot in the ufo video.
The balloons float around like ants walking all over each other and disappear from sight very quickly while the lights in the video are very stable for several minutes. When the configuration changes it still isn't like balloons, it's more like whatever the lights were connected to changed it's position.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out the lights were something terrestrial but they are not balloons.

What makes you think it was directed to you

I made the comment because EVERYTIME a video is shown on here with 3 sometimes more lights in the sky at least one or more members make the comment oh it's formed a triangle simple common sense tells you 3 lights can only be in a straight line or make some kind of triangle BUT that doesn't mean there is anything between the lights or they are attached to a craft of some sort.
