That's pretty interesting.

Only thing I could think of is maybe rust. But that would require oxygen.

It could also be organic molecules. They can turn reddish from exposure to solar radiation. Which is why Pluto has a reddish color.

It's not visible to human eyes, they used infrared and UV filters.
It could be.... I don't know, but than again, I'm not an expert of any kind.

They did use IR and Uv, but combined with the visible spectrum. They are faint in visible light, but if you were standing on one you'd likely notice it.

Images taken using clear, green, infrared and ultraviolet spectral filters were combined to create the view, which highlights subtle color differences across Tethys' surface at wavelengths not visible to human eyes. The moon's surface is fairly uniform in natural color.
