I'm of two opinions on the "Simon" edition of the Necronomicon:
1) It's fake
2) It's pretty powerful stuff.
A contradiction, to be sure.

On another message board I visit from time-to-time about occult topics, there are posters who swear that they've conjured stuff from this book.

Me personally: I've read the book & I feel a very dark powerful energy coming off of it. I know to some this may sound laughable--coz it's fake & all...

It was written by the Mad Arab, Abdul Alhazared some 300 years before Christ I'm sure, and was literally accounts that this man discovered of ancient alien civilizations. The Necronomicon is just a history book of wars fought between these races and gods, and how they plot to overthrow Earth.

Although I've never read the real book (cause the alleged real book has never been released) , there is a fake Necronomicon that you can find in Barnes and Noble, and the like.

Yes my friends, you can summon demons from ancient worlds by heading to your local bookstore!

So yep it's a fake that was inspired by HP Lovecraft but, It is a workable magical system assuming you already know how Ceremonial Magick works.

Abdul Alhazred, the Mad Arab, was a character invented by fiction writer Howard Phillip Lovecraft. He never actually existed.
