I am an avatar stereotypist!

I don't know if I judge people based upon their avatar necessarily. Maybe if it was super gross or offensive, but you don't really see much of that around here. I consider it more of an "at-a-glance" identifier. If I see the avatar of a poster whom I can't stand or who makes ridiculous or awful posts I have a tendency to skip over what they have to say. Not always but a lot of the time. Conversely if I see the avatar of a poster I respect I will make a point to read their post carefully.

It can be confusing though because some people change their avatars often! But, people that favor a "style" of avatar are easier to identify even when they change it a lot. Hefficide for example. I was a big fan of the Tyrion Lannister one by the way.

I enjoy seeing all the creativity and it's interesting how people choose a picture to represent themselves, and the pictures they choose. I'm not very imaginative because I always choose a red head, because I have and favor red hair, and I've always used Gillian Anderson because who doesn't love the X-Files?

Oh, I am so glad to hear it. I grew up before the anime craze, but I wouldn't run out of the room if some of the cartoons from my generation were on TV. So, I can see how people can cling to (and sexualize, woohoo to your avatar!) their fav childhood cartoons. I miss my Beanie and Cecil! Gumby! Mighty Mouse!

I despise real life pictures of people like celebrity, and other famous people(other than your own of course, but i would not expose myself on internet).

I feel the same way. I hate that so many people on Twitter actually TOOK the names of celebrities. MY avatar, however, is SOOOOO me that I couldn't resist it.

I admit that I also judge people that I don't know much based off of their avatar. In my opinion, an avatar can tell some things about a user. People generally put things that relate to them as their avatar.

Anime isn't just for kids.

Also, anime and manga is awesome. There are plenty of older teen/adults style mangas, and also porno ones... hentai. It's a great way to express emotion, action, story lines, and etc. It's one of my favorite things to do, draw manga and make characters.

My avatar is an anime girl named Revy. She's a total bad ass. I use her picture because she depicts the exterior of my personality, and a lot of my friends joke that I'm Revy.

Anime isn't really age based. Some people fall into the anime fan cult and never come out. I'm one of those people. I'm not a weeaboo, but I like drawing anime, it's always been my style. I don't know much about really any anime other than mine, and what few I've watched.

Some anime is made for kids, but saying that ALL anime is made for kids is like saying all cartoons are made for kids. What about Family Guy? Futurama?

I know what you're going for, though. I'm the same way.
