But what you fail to understand is that the debt isn't real money. It's 1 and 0s in a data bank somewhere in Switzerland and can and will be erased with the click of a mouse.

And just who is this so called massive debt owed to anyway? China...how would they collect? How would any entity collect on this debt of cyber money?

It’s not that easy, yes it 1's and 0's but it’s not in a data bank in Switzerland, I don’t have the breakout on me but for the most part the Federal Reserve owns the largest portion of the debt. Your comment vindicates the problems of America and what i talked about in my OP. It’s not your fault at all. It’s what was taught to you. The practices of our government over the last twenty years is what is going to cause the collapse. There isn't a chance in hell that it won't. No matter who won the presidency it would still collapse, you can't run a country the way we were doing. The Electoral system is to blame, you can't blame it on either party as much as to blame it on the whole system.

We have to keep regulations protecting the environment in place or we will destroy the future of humanity. I see many Republicans against regulations, they are worried about votes now and not about our grandchildren's future. You can't give everyone everything they want in this country, that is a ridiculous concept. We will destroy the environment in a little while and mankind will become extinct.

I personally think the whole we gonna go communism is from the red scare back in the 40s. "They will invade you anytime!".

In a capitalist country, the word "communism" is used to stop changes, that people are not familiar with. Some people like to call it out to trigger the indoctrinated fear of communism.

Every Capitalist country has some communism in it. Communism is an old structure and human were made like that, to depend on each other.

While Pure communism is the perfect society, we can't have that with greedy people and opportunists(good or bad) because they put self before others, some are even taught to be that way.

simple math. $375 billion interest each year at 1.5%. Thats 14% of the revenue goes to interest now. Raise the interest rate to the historic normal of 6% and you now have 1.5 Trillion dollars in interest payments each year. That eats away 60% of the government revenue for the year.

That’s not fear mongering, it’s those pesky facts that keep getting in the way

Seriously, we need more positive thinking if we are EVER to get out of this hole!

They just need to rein in their spending. For example, who needs a defense budget of almost $800 billion? If you cut this by three quarters your still above what the next couple of countries are at. At least that will get you closer to balancing the deficit.

and another note, when you print money, you decrees the value of the dollar. When the dollar goes down, the cost of goods and serves go up. That’s why food and gas are so much more expensive. those indicaters are based on the value of the goods. In all reality, the economy is been flat.

The government says inflation is 1.5%. They have to adjust social security yearly based on inflation. so yearly SS payments go up 1.5% but in reality inflation is more like 8% right now and climbing. by fudging the numbers they saved themselfs 6.5%. This is how your precious government robs you blind

America is in for trouble. The facts speak for themselves. No matter who won, we are in so much debt that there IS trouble on the way. This can not sustain itself. Jobs are leaving the country, more people on welfare than ever, the ones that do work and support the ones who do not are loosing their jobs. You can not have a country all on welfare with no one to pay for it.

Too bad. Apparently the rest of the country has rejected that mindset. When it happens twice in a row, you need to maybe sit back and re-evaluate your position.
