Thank You OP for posting the truth. It's amazing the number of people I speak to on a daily basis that have no clue whatsoever how large our debt is. They don't know that 70 million people are on Medicaid. They don't know that the real unemplohyment rate is over 15%.
Unfortunately they will know in a few short years that the government will have to stop giving away all this money. Then they are going to say, "Why didn't you tell us we were in so much trouble".

Maybe it was because back in the 50's through to the 80's the government (Dems or Repubs) drilled it into your heads that socialism/communism was/is bad and since then no one in your government (Dems or Repubs) has taken the time to set the record straight.
This is only an observation here. I'm not purposefully trying to start something. Just trying to understand where you guys/gals are coming from.

Enough of the inflammatory comments and fearmongering. Now is the time to heal, not tear this country apart any more than you already have.

If you're so unhappy, leave and start your own country. Nobody's stopping you, and I will personally help you pack and drive you to the airport, free of charge.

Thank you for revealing the TRUE nature of the "Big Party" tent - the Democrats. The "inclusive, inviting and diverse" party that they claim to be but aren't in any remote way.

I've already said my good-bye to America and have also finished grieving the loss of it. Now I am simply preparing for life AFTER America, in America. One that is going to be filled with chaos, anarchy, hardships and pain. I'm preparing - I suggest the rest of my non-Democrat friends do the same.

Attention Democrats: DO NOT even think about coming to me for help or aid. You voted for this and you will live with it - on your own!

your post reminds me of a quote "I remember the day in america when men were free"

Actually you lost, and you dragged the rest of us down with you, fell right into the trap, chose to believe the lies you were being fed.

Because it is giving up the rites we have that so many fought and died for. It takes away your power, and gives it all to the government. People immigrated to the US to escape those kind of governments, only to be headed on a road rite back there.

Socialism is slavery. Look at history, it has never worked.

Then would you say Canada is a failed nation because of socialism? Let me ask what socialism means to you so I can understand your view point.

Look at countries that are communist. The people are very poor and barley eat. It does not make everyone the same. You still have the "haves", and they are the ones at the top, government etc, while everyone else is oppressed. It does not make everyone equal, it makes a few control the many. I

It creates an environment where there is no reward for your work. You can not just work harder and make more money, buy a house and start a business.

There is no free market. It takes away hope. Even places that are not communist, but socialist, look at the home prices. I have friends moving here from England next month. My 1300 sf house is 750 a month, This same house there would cost almost a million dollars. Look at home prices in Canada, also very high.

The average family can not just buy a house. These are just some examples.

One want to control the country by the rich, and other want government control so the rich don't abuse it.

See there is where it becomes a conspiracy and I think you are wrong,

Please take this into consideration,

Those “Evil, Rich People” – are Democrats

In fact, the Top 3 on the list: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett & Larry Ellison are all Democrats. Together, they are worth $126 Billion Dollars.

An analysis of the Top 20 Richest People in America (from Forbes Top 100) reveals that a full 60% are actually Democrats. Furthermore, if you look at it from a “family” point of view and not as indivisuals, thereby eliminating duplication caused by people from the same family being included in that Top 20 list (Wal-Mart & Koch) that ratio widens even further to:
25% Republican / 75% Democrat.

(The purpose of this analysis is not who makes the most money, but where they contribute / by party affiliation. Obviously, people from the same family would tend to contribute to the same party.)

Analyzing the data takes us even further. Not only are there more Democrats in the Top 20 list, but those Democrats are a lot more stingy with their money when it comes to campaign contributions. Republicans coughed up $5.2 million while Democrats squirted out only $2.1 Million. These statistics would indicate that the more you have, the less you give.
newamericangazette.com...
Contributions paid to special interest groups are a little harder to track. But we have no reason not to assume that the money these Top 1% of the population contribute to Special Interest groups wouldn’t match (or closely match) those of their chosen political affiliation. So when you add in the money contributed to these groups, you end up with Republican Contributions at $10 million while Democrats contributed only $6 million. Again, it appears that the Democrats are a bit more stingy with their money.

Lest we not forget, Democrats outweigh Republicans. Not only in terms of the number of uber-millionaires, but also with their net worth. In this Top 20 group, Democrats have a combined net worth of $263.1 billion dollars while the Republicans have a combined net worth of only $143.9 billion dollars – almost half that of Democrats.

But what you fail to understand is that the debt isn't real money. It's 1 and 0s in a data bank somewhere in Switzerland and can and will be erased with the click of a mouse.

And just who is this so called massive debt owed to anyway? China...how would they collect? How would any entity collect on this debt of cyber money?

Einstein.

59 million Americans were touched by genius 61 million wasn't.

The economy is improving, only hard core extreme Right Wingers deny this. The GOP admits this, they just don't think it has been fast enough.

The debt was going to increase under anyone, you can't cut spending during a recession and you can't raise taxes right at the height of them. However, Obama has decreased the deficit he was handed.

Listening to people go on about how Democrats ruined the country, you'd think that Romney was Jesus and the Republican party was his faithful followers destined to live in his paradise of peace, plenty and prosperity.
Both parties are a part of America, they are both represented in the higher ranks of the government even, and if Democrats didn't belong here, they would have abolished the party altogether. They do have the power to do that, don't you know?
Also, the voters are not responsible for what turn this country takes in the future. It takes the whole world with it, and that's a heavy load to put on the shoulders of a hundred million average Joes. Don't you think, guys? Really, it's either that or believe the process is rigged according to what the higher-ups want. I'm inclined to think the latter. Oh, and when I refer to higher ups in this case, I'm talking about the ones behind the curtain of this oh so honest-seeming democratic process. Those that make the country a plutocracy.
