I owe you a sorry when i used your thread it wasnt a "i'm going to directly attack you type of deal". I forgot to add that I hear that line all the time in these threads the "there are plenty of things to attack obamo on", Besides I actually kind of agree with you this is a non issue but I have seen people use that same excuse for the two issues I had with obama. Its like people think they can play misdirection all the time. 4 people get killed because of the presidents incompatence and we should now talk about the economy because "thats more important"

Even it being a non issue it's kind of not it good taste. Ps i did read your response to me it seems your reading way to much into what he had to say and fabricated a story to fit your assumption. I would say he most likely is in reelection mode and his mind is in too many directions at once. A simple mistake

Thanks for the apology and I apologize for any brash assumptions I may have made. I do agree with you that the 9/11 incident shouldn't be swept under the rug. Obama does do plenty of things we should worry about and I think we should worry more about them.

Phrase "Lean Forward" is often used in the military; means don't sit around with your thumb up your ass when you could be preparing for an event that is most likely going to happen.

But I did. While you were frothing at the mouth how Obama went out of his way to "invent" the phrase 'lean forward', I posted the information that before Obama, this was used in a similar context by:

a) Donald Rumsfeld
b) Alberto Gonzales
c) FEMA

And that's information. You were plain wrong in part because you don't care about facts. Just like in the "bayonet" thread, when Obama mentioned modern capabilities of the Navy, like carriers and nuclear subs, you "concluded" that Obama was declaring the US Navy as obsolete. Wow. Just wow.

It's the second thread that puts your reading comprehension skills in question. This term was used by other people before Obama when addressing a dire situation. It fits fine. Of course you don't really care whether it does.

The really bad thing about this is, the Red Cross doesn't accept donations of canned goods or any goods for that matter. They only accept donations of cash or blood. So the example that Romney is pretending to set is NOT helping the victims, unless Romney intends to drive a truck into the heart of some disaster area himself and personally hand out canned food and diapers, those donations are only going to a local food bank.

It's misleading and a hurts, rather than helps the donation efforts of the Red Cross, having people think that they can just drop off dry goods or canned goods to help, when they can't.

1 - I was in the Army for five years and I never heard it.
2 - Obama was never in the military. And his title 'commander in chief' is just that .. a title. He has no military training and no military experience. So he couldn't have pulled it from there.

My reading skills are just fine. YOUR opinion is that he borrowed from other sources. That's fine. OTHER people have the opinion that he was inserting his latest campaign catch phrase into the FEMA meeting. That's fine too. Learn how to accept that others have different opinions on the same situation. Learn tolerance and that your opinion isn't the only one out there and that it may not even be the right one. It's definitely a word associated with socialist leanings. None of which means he's a socialist of course but it's an interesting choice given the history of the word, which his campaign staff must have known about. Blair used 'Forward with Britain' too. Look how well that turned out.

The leaning bit is interesting though. It seems almost forced to me, it doesn't gel or flow very well.
