Yeah, I've seen some creepy avatars on ATS. But fortunately, they're few and far between. But what I find truly creepy and unsettling, is a society that goes postal over nudity, and yet thinks grotesque and truly disturbing pictures of unspeakable horrors is OK, anywhere and everywhere. Including avatars. What's wrong with this picture. (Pun intended).

My avatar isn't likely to change in the near future. It has a meaning behind it. I would however, like to change the blue in it, to more of a purple-ish color. But I'm not good enough with photoshop to make it look as good as it does now with the blue. So I've left it alone. Cest la vie.

i think the mods took my advice and came to the same conclusion has me on this
been a very long time since i have seen such avatar

what avatar do you find frightening ??

No skulls are ok. As soon as I find the ones that scare me I'll let you know. But that creepy eye actor guy just freaks me out.

Ohh I Just saw the one with the baby with that one black eye, that's heebee jeebee worthy. And I think one is that Jeepers Creepers guy. I'm not to sure it it's from that movie but I hate to see it.

I see that someone posted some links to creating an AVATAR, Thanx for those who need the tutorials......
I tried to break it down to simplest form here:
[Note IMAGE Rules here;

ATS AVATAR Images should be no larger than 170 pixels wide, 240 pixels tall, and max file size of 75kb.

ATS MINI-PROFILE Images should be no larger than 200 pixels wide, 700 pixels tall, max file size of 150kb.

ATS SIGNATURE Images should be no larger than 600 pixels wide, 70 pixels tall, and max file size of 50kb].

Log in, then near top of page click on 'TOOLS'
Once that sub menu opens, click on 'ATS UPLOADS'
On the next page on the left is the 'SELECT IMAGE FILE' Button. Click, then choose an image from your computer. It will UpLoad to your 'Uploader Page'
On that page, Select Image you want for an AVATAR, MINI-PROFILE, or SIGNATURE and click it.
Then a page will open with your selected image.
Underneath it will be buttons to choose the image as to be your 'AVATAR' 'BACKGROUND' or 'SIGNATURE' Image. Choose One.
Then the 'CHANGE YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS' Page will load.
Scroll down to where it shows 'YOUR AVATAR', YOUR BACKGROUND IMAGE', or 'YOUR SIGNATURE'.
Click 'SUBMIT' in the appropriate box.

The absolute creepiest (imo) is Sonnny1's pope avatar. I hope he comes on here with it!

The one of the hallway that after a while, a creepy face peeks out of, always gets me.

it was morticia and rigby wanting to enslave mankind and take over the world!!!

Avatars are there for those to express what they aren't but they wish they were.

Frightening for the timid, Enlightened for the stupid, colorful for the dull.

I wouldn't bet too worked up about it. An Avatar isn't going to leap off the screen and bop you on the nose. But if your intimidated by an Avatar I think you have some unresolved issues you should seek help for that will eventually bring you peace.

This one scared me the most.... I went ahead and increased the size for a better view...

The ones that scare me are the webcam or phone pics of really hot females because every time I see one I am filled with the belief that the member is probably really a 53 year old overweight bald guy.
