The socialist have no where to go. Many were born here in the USA they were just unfortunate to be educated in such a way to believe a dream called socialism actually works. However when you run out of other peoples money the system collapses. Look at the USSR. The problem with socialism is that it promotes the I don't give a damn attitude. Why should a trashman make as much as a professor? People have to realize that they don't send their children to schools. They send them to indoctrination centers. Until our education system changes and the adults wake up to tyranny we will be doomed to failure.

Disarming America will not be achieved in any easy, fast way
There are in fact, lots of fat people, but they are human, no?
Guns are tools, if tools are illegal, then you might as well ban all tools.
No one is taking my guns, nor will they.

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh ,
Had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
Form of government.
A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can
Vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.
From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the
Most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
Collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has
Been about 200 years.
During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

>From bondage to spiritual faith;
>From spiritual faith to great courage;
>From courage to liberty;
>From liberty to abundance;
>From abundance to complacency;
>From complacency to apathy;
>From apathy to dependence;
>From dependence back into bondage."

I firmly believe that we are in the apathy to dependence stage and are quickly being push to the last level before the final collapse.

Medicaid, medicare both strike me as dependance. unemployment, SS checks sounds
like dependance.

I believe we are at the.state where people realize we have been duped
by our gov't.
But they gov't is working hard to make citizens look
like the crimimals because we dont like having currency
stolen from us.

When will we rise up? Probably not this time, we're in too far.
Unless people realize their materials don't matter, we will
be stuck in this existance.

The beauty of the world is dwarfed by the ugly reality
of those.who have so chosen to rule over us.

This isnt about anything other than living free and living
for all other people. We are all on the same planet, but yet
we fight over imaginary lines drawn on the rock
by the rulers.

Now whose wrong in their thinking?

Looks like the right to keep and bear arms is going to be another thing that only the rich, and criminals are allowed.

On the one hand it does matter, on the other it doesn't. For a while now the price of garden variety rifles has been going up and up. The poor already lack the funds to buy a real weapon. When this country was founded, that right meant that you could have and own the peak of military technology at the time. Nowadays a rifle similar but not identical to what the military has goes for like 2600 or more. Who can afford that!

Nowadays the real weapons are already expensive, require permitts, require additional credentials, trails of red tape. I'm not sure why they want to officially do this. The system is sufficiently restricting the second ammendment as it is now.

It all comes down to one thing. Lack of trust. It's the only downside to the second ammendment. Without trust in the common person's general goodness, it falls.

p.s. With all the outlandish violations of our constitution as of late, it would not surprise me if all of these things are being put into place to ensure Obama leaves office. Have to watch TPTB, they're sneaky!

If they think they are coming to my house to take my guns they should think again. My benevolent government has already taken all they ever will from me. If and when some "public servant" comes to steal my guns he will be taking bullets, not guns...

Having received Intelligence, that a Quantity of Ammunition, Provision, Artillery, Tents and small Arms, have been collected at Concord, for the Avowed Purpose of raising and supporting a Rebellion against His Majesty, you will March with the Corps of Grenadiers and Light Infantry, put under your Command, with utmost expedition and Secrecy to Concord, where you will seize and destroy all Artillery, Ammunition, Provisions, Tents, Small Arms, and all Military Stores whatever - Per Order of General Gage to Lt. Colonel F. Smith, of the Kings Troops

It's a cycle that repeats itself throughout history and you are totally brainwashed if you think you are immune to such a thing. Authoritarians need to consolidate power. Armed freemen stand in the way of their centralized government wet dream of totalitarianism. Heck, in just 30 years, the governments of China and Russia murdered 84.5 MILLION of their own citizens. The total casualties of both world wars was 24 million, which is a number that pales in comparison.

Governments kill people; mostly their own people. Yet you find it so far fetched. I cannot understand why that is. Maybe you are in total denial?

It's not impossible to collect the guns when the government has the bigger guns and can just bomb a house from mile sin the sky.

Here is the thing with a revolution. People as a whole, have to be ready, prepared and willing to participate. The problem with the U.S. today is there are a bunch of lazy whiners amongst us. They want to complain about such freedoms being taken away, however they will never lift a finger to rise against it. I will say, there is no way I will surrender my weapons. I feel this is and would be by all means treason if enacted. But, who will fight against it? A handful of people resisting would change nothing and would be expected. I have once upon a time, taken an oath to support and defend this constitution, however a lot of people I've known in unform would not put their money where there mouth is, when it comes to this country going to the proverbial fecal flusher. Someone would have to lead a revolution, and people would actually have to care enough to act. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening in my lifetime.

Who is John Galt?

97% of the people of the colonies did not "lift a finger" and participate in the American revolution. Only 3% participated. So your theory that a handful of people change nothing is incorrect.

Understand this: Every significant movement in history has been led by one or just a few individuals with a small minority of energetic supporters.

How many military personnel have you heard of doing "drive-by's" in the hood or for that matter, shoot up a school with automatic weapons in the US?

It is about making the world safer! We are talking about machine guns here people! Not that any gun is a necessity in today's time, but still the average person damn sure doesnt need a AK-47!

Even with your civilian rebel army and your AK's, I dare you to march on the white house.... You would get pwned!

Just saying.

Negative. This Act refers to "semi-automatic" weapons. Which would encompass any rifle, shotgun, or handgun that automatically chambers the next round when the trigger is pulled and the action engaged.

This is not just talking about "machine-guns". This is talking about probably 75% of guns owned in the US.

Oops! You got me! Good job there buddy. BUT, really what is the big deal. You don't need to hunt for your food anymore.

Furthermore, this whole concept of the US government is poising to to take control of us all is rediculous. If they wanted to they could do it tomorrow. We do have the most powerful military in the world.

If they want to do it, why wait?

Could you be any more disgusting and crude in the language that you use? Your pathetic repugnant attitude echoes that of your average little left wing nancy boy who more than likely lives in a country where you are forced to trust your government, disarmed. However, we are all left guessing at your location as you don't have the fortitude to display it. Try in the future not to write in the style of a 15 year old child, it's quite disgusting.

You must live in the city. There are those of us who DO hunt and fish for food, grow our own gardens, raise our livestock.

Think about it, there are new regulations governing all of the above that are meant to inhibit self suffient people. Were is your precious food when the farms go belly up due to drought, disease or other calamity.

You can already see the price of food rising dramatically due to gas prices and the lack of a bumper crop this year.

And I do not know anyone in the military who would actively engage in activities against the American people. With the exception of being fired upon. Then it would end up badly for the shooter.
