Relevance and review in 60 minutes.
Or less....lol.
The 2017/18 Oilers are a better Club than the 1988 Oilers were....making full concessions for Era adjustments within the game itself.....full stop.
Kovalchuk is a model of perfection when it comes to the Elbow-Bone shot....watch how many of his shots go there.
Kurri scored more from the right side but his patented one-timer was on his off-wing.....Connor and Nuge have this type of chemistry where they both
read and cover the zone so well they can pretty much both float anywhere without losing focus or position presence.....Nugey can sneak in for those
onetimers on the left side like Leon has learned to do so well on the right side....Professor Leon followed Horcoffs focuses in finding the effective
onetimer seam and now Nugey can follow Kurris focus in terms of slipping in and finishing onetimers using that style, both are different styles of
onetimer focuses....this gives the Oilers a 2-headed onetimer dragon to work over opponents with......however lets remember these are not the only 2
places onetimers are effective from...watching the 88 Oilers SHOULD be like an NHS review in a lot of ways and you should also see how many of the
Dynasty holes the NHS has in fact sewn up without losing the Oilers flavor.
Remember that because The Professor is the best nickname for Leon Draisaitl I have ever heard.
McDavid is Yenko.
Draisaitl is The Professor.
Nugent-Hopkins has a trademark on The Nuge.
Larsson is The Trashman because of all the garbage he takes out of the Oilers zone every game....well done.
Darnell WreckingBall Nurse.
Bear just has to go with Yogi...I mean that is inescapable IMHO....LMAO.
Would Yakupov ever look good with Nuge and McDavid......make it happen Chia......
In fact Moma2 is dedicating the demolition and utter destruction of the Oilers Playoff hopes at the earlies possible moment in 2018/19 to Nail Yakupov
and the hose-job the Oilers did on him.
So unfortunately the new reality is that next season is another wash....unless I see Yakupov in Oilers silks alongside Conner and Ryan....lol....power
is hard to weild fairly.
Kovalchuk and Yakupov ...Kovie for Conner and Nugey and Yakupov for Leon....that is worth IMHO 80 goals to the Oilers...50 and 30.
Puljarvi needs a year of 3rd line minutes on a Playoff team.
Problem is Kovie is an Elbow-Bone specialist and today thanks to Moma2 EVERYONE is using that shot and Goalies are adjusting specificlly to it....this
IMHO drives Kovalchuks value dramaticlly down because IMHO he might not be able to compensate.
What I want from Kovalchuk is his size and his aggression combined with his finish......because both Nugey and McDavid are ELITE PASSERS who love to
dish it up in perfect spots at perfect times so fo a guy like Kovalchuk it SHOULD be a DREAM scenarion....where he is the CONSTANT TRIGGERMAN OUTLET
and gets TONS OF PUCK TOUCHES he DOESNT HAVE TO GIVE BACK......at his age in a faster NHL he MUST BE A ROLE PLAYER and being a designated trigger-man
to Connor McDavd and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.....with Lucic and Larsson and Leon and Nurse.....and BigBoy Parjavi to MENTOR....Kovalchuk lets the Oilers
send down a few very good young players to marinate some more in the AHL......and it makes them IMHO instant Playoff contenders.
Kovalchuk and Yakupov and its Stanley Cup time IMHO if the Oilers keep RNH with McDavid.
Yakupov was literally thrown out with the bath water.....and has not been given high value opportunity with elite players like he deserves and can
still handle...he is an elite shooter and a very good passer who has a unique style of play that is perfect for the Oilers of today......they should
have simply traded Hall and Eberle and left it at that.
I want 30-40 goals from someone and Nail can do it...given the right role and minutes....this is not a joke or a trick question....his gifts didnt go
away because he was misused in Edmonton and then put into several re-learning situations...his current one is perfectly traditional....but IMHO
Yakupov DIDNT NEED TO RELEARN ANYTHING...he is a special type of player like Connor and others are special....he provides a unique impactfull
style.
Moma2 is not letting the Yakupov issue go.....twasnt right what went down....and I am not accepting Bob the conman Nicholsons imaginary audit results
or Chias housecleaning or any other excuse....86ing Nail was unjust uncalled for and undeserved....just brass trying to get rid of all evidence of the
Eakins failure is all that Yakupov move was intended to do.
