Here's an update on the "strange metal boxes washed up on Oregon beach"

People wanted another pic of one of these 'metal boxes' - here is another apparently.

Real or not, I don't know, but intriguing just the same. There is also updated info and quotes from various Government officials about the boxes.

What do people think?

As weird as this may seem..there is now an update to this strange story. As of late afternoon Feb. 8, Bill Hanshumaker, a public marine specialist and (Ph.D) doctor of marine science at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in nearby Newport, told Huliq in an interview that, “I don’t know what they are.” In turn, Doctor Hanshumaker said he’s advised “surf monitoring” about these strange metal boxes that suddenly appeared along local beaches Feb. 6, and now seem to be multiplying like Star Trek “Tribbles.” The photograph that accompanies this report – taken during the afternoon of Feb. 8 near Bray’s Point -- of yet another strange metal box stuck in the surf up is one of a possible group of a dozen or more that have been sited up and down West Coast beaches. Meanwhile, the British government also photographed similar huge metal boxes on beaches in Sri Lanka in the late 1990’s and in early 2004 and 2005. The discovery of the boxes is detailed in updated previously classified reports from the British government that document sightings of unidentified flying objects by both the military and the general public dating back to the 1950s.

Hi, So these boxes... do they know if the boxes open, or what. Its not news worthy to the media I supposed but then again I did not research the local papers from the area and all. Interesting if they can't open them to cut them open or maybe we'll find out when they analyze what metal they are made of.

Now thats cool and puzzling.

Why does everything to me now days feels like its the start of project bluebeam. It feels like with all the signs everywhere that thats what the powers that be are getting it started..

This is VERY interesting.

I still want more proof though. How come there's no video?
Surly the residents of Oregon own video cameras, right?

There's lots of questions..
How big are they?
Why is there no track leading up to their position in the sand?
Where's the audio of them?
Can they be cut or broken?
Is the sound that they are making the same sound that people are hearing around the world?
Are they eggs?
Are they allsparks lol?

I MUST know more about them.
I really hope someone can go down there and shoot some video with the humming that is coming from them.

I just heard about this for the first time yesterday, and I, too, am very interested to learn more about it. It does seem as though someone could do a video. Although, to be quite honest, I haven't searched for one myself. Maybe You Tube does have a video and we just need to find it

Perhaps some kind of "Harmonic Weapon" ? sink the west coast into the ocean ?

Textow in another different development, Massive lumps of ice found in the Ural River by local residents. Eyewitnesses say that this is the work of aliens. How else can you explain how the huge blocks of ice scattered around like children's toys within a radius of 20 meters got there? Also in Uralsk, rumors of a crashed object in the vicinity has residents buzzing with an explanation of the dumped ice. Many witness's have come forward who had seen a burning object crash not far from the ural river. A full investigation is underway.

If the boxes exist, the ones who gave an 'update' first-hand have given less details than you would find in the average tweet. I would take new photos of the box, video, cut the box, see what the metal is, if there are as many as they say, smash one open.

Aren't they just flotsam from Japan?

If no one is opening these boxes and by no one I mean the government, maybe there's a reason for that!
Perhaps they are waiting for some random guy to open it and it will be full of some sort of bomb that will detinate upon being open and start saying that it was a terrorist attack!

If they are unexplainable as they seem to be, red flags starts flying in my head when the government has no interest in them.

I have to call hoax, theres just no real confirmation as yet......
Lets see some accreditation or movies of same or anythiing beside rumour....

Strange stuff....maybe these boxes were put on the ocean bottom by scientists to direct whales away from the coast. You know...with the magneticfield of the earth changing and all..Unfortunately they washed onto the coast for some reason.

I don't know...but you can bet that these boxes are man-made.

This new picture looks just the same to me.

The guy who wrote this story, Dave Masko, has a track record of making stuff up. He has effected local business in his community for saying that beaches have been contaminated with radiation and tsunamis were incoming when they blatantly were not. He also lied about one of the Twilight movies being filmed in the same area. He's not a journalist, not a trained writer.

I see in the updated article that Masko is up to his old tricks, he is mixing in claims about the British government UFO files in with his stories. So the British government photographed the same boxes did they? Why not link to those documents?

I also see that after I left a comment at Huliq asking why he doesn't name the professor in the story, he has added a quote by a real scientist, 'Dr Hanshumaker'. This guy exists all right and I have emailed him asking him if he was indeed interviewed by Huliq as claimed.

I suspect not and will update with his reply if and when received.

Looks like NEMA sealed electrical boxes. If they were new in a shiiping container that went overboard they would be air tight and float but still be quite heavy. Container would bust open in a storm and the shipping cardboard would wash away quickly. The noise might be pressureization from the sun.
