Anonymous have done something a lot of us would like to do.... if i knew how to hack i'd be bringing the whole lot of them down!!!!

Good on these guys. Someone needs to shut down and report the subhuman scum who get sexual gratification from children and the abuse of children. And I'm glad it was a private citizen, not the govornment, whom I don't trust to take care of this stuff.

Pedos should be eliminated. They are a cancerous disease on any society, because their crimes harm their victims throughout life.

No, I didn't mean to insinuate that at all. I apoligize if it sounded that way. This issue tends to be an emotional one for most. You were mentioning the age of consent, and the info about "my forefathers"....what is in the past I cannot control, so I have nothing to do with that. That was wrong, of course....and I feel the same way about that as I do those who engage in this now. Many things happened in the past that were wrong, in all countries....that was the past. I was just mentioning that many of these creeps prey on VERY young children....2, 3 years old....even infants....but it doesn't matter if they are 1 or 13.....it's wrong. That's the point I was trying to make. I was not trying to make it sound as though you approved....really. I just feel that there is no defense for these people, and they do not deserve the same rights as you and I.

Edit: I'll just say you might want to reword this story because how it is written it seems like an alibi/evidence for reference by someone that is paranoid. Don't mean to be accusatory, the story just "feels" a little strange. Maybe just one of those stories you keep to yourself.

I'm asking seriously.. not being a smartass as per usual.

Either way getting their names out there gives the police a long list of people that they can henceforth keep their eye on that they likely wouldn't have come close to before.

I would say the risk is justified when anonymous was the only ones doing anything about it.

Based on your example, it could turn out with no prosecution or it could end with the person being charged for possession of porn.

There is not really a set in stone standard, since it will be up to the lawyers to argue why the evidence is valid or why it should be chucked. Im just saying that the courts generally defer to the defendant when it comes to these types of questions.

If the person reporting the info has no criminal background it could be taken more serious and investigated more (the police starting their own investigation to find the same information legally). It could entail the person reporting the child porn being charged with burglary for being in a house without permission (or tresspassing give or take).

From personal experice though I have seen civilians do their own Rockford files routine in order to get a person charged with a crime. When it goes overboard like that, we go back and work our own investigation to get the info legally to make the crime prosecutable.

If anon want to bring the sites down and thats it, more power to them (although an argument can be made in the same manner they an wikileaks do about freedom of speech and imparting individual moral values on groups who dont see them the same way).. If they are wanting to stop the crime and make an impact though, they will need people prosecuted. As we know, its easier to put a website back up using a different name, company etc than it is to get pedofiles.

Another good example to use and research is the group perverted justice. They are the ones who work with MSNBCs program to catch a kiddy didler. Some states have refused to prosecute cases because that group, in several occasions, have actually entrapped people. Entrapment is causing a person to take action when they normally weould not. In some of thos einstances, after the age was given, the adults ended their conversations with the "kids". Those "kids" then forced the conversation from their side.

When a private group works with law enforcement, and at law enforcements direction, they are then bound by the same laws that govern the bahvior of law enforcement when it comes to entrapment, searches, seizures, violation of rights etc etc.

Im just ssaying i their goal is the people, then they need to be careful.

Assuming the person lives in the US, the CIA would not contact an individual in that manner. Even if the agency is wrong (CIA) the person is still a minor and contacting that person without parental consent is generally a no no.

The CIA is not chartered to work in the US, and does not have arrest authority in that regards.

While paedophilia is a repulsive condition that is detrimental to society I wonder how many of the 'kill em all' brigade are mainstream porn / prostitution enthusiasts. The level of misogyny that a lot of mainstream porn depends on and promotes by influencing young men is the nets greatest secret. I abhor those who prey on children just as much as those who prey upon and abuse adults in their physical or financial power.

The governments of the world left them alone as they were an excellent source of intel on the pedophile communities and helped lead law enforcement towards the rescue of many children. With these sites down, the government will now have to find a new source of information.

I applaud what was done but am afraid that it may actually hurt more than it has helped. This blow by anonymous will have decimated most Child Cyber Protection agencies as they now have to scramble to find out where all these users will now go to and where their new servers will be setup.

My biggest fear is that by eliminating such hubs for pedophiles that it will actually put more children in danger as law enforcement will no longer have a real time source of easily accessible intelligence in order to track down producers of child pornography in order to rescue abused children.

This does not even include the possible destruction of evidence that was most likely being compiled in order to execute arrest warrants for cases being built against such individuals. Law Enforcement tends to use the small fish to go after the big fish. I feel that a lot of small fish were outed and the big fish will vanish into the depths.

And how would we know if that information was accurate? There is a reason we have a system of Justice that requires evidence rather than mob mentality/mob rule.

Would be convenient to add the names of your enemies to such a list in order to destroy them. The CIA/FBI has used such character assassination tactics for many years to discredit many individuals.
